Great video. You and mark douglas are amazing. Which y’all could have had an interview. Unfortunately he passed in 2015.
Thanks
You're the best. First week trading, Green week (16% gain on my account). You're slowly but surely changing my life. Going to be consuming your content religiously until i'm able to afford warrior trading membership
Please which broker do you use
The way you describe "good" losses as not wrong, but an inevitable part of a successful strategy---haven't heard it described quite this way. Something clicked for me. Thanks Ross.
Yea man. Just think of good loses as “paying rent” for a regular business. Just don’t let losses run. Use your stops.
as an ex-teacher turned trader, I really appreciate the mindset that you share in the video. Too many people/students are afraid of failure. Learning from our failures is what grows our brains! Even though I've had countless conversations with students about that, I STILL have to remind myself that daily when fear of failure starts to creep in.
Thanks for the last line 😊
thank you ross. i lost 20% of my small account last week. devastating since i had high hopes for my success... but kept getting triggered into holding too long, jumping into trades that didn't fully meet my criteria, etc. i'm going to watch this video 10 times this weekend and hopefully come back stronger than ever come monday.
Story of my life the last 2 months. Few Green Day’s wiped out but a massive run day. Holding trades to long, revenge trading, emotions not in check. Back to focusing on base hits
Learn how to scalp efficiently..While trading smaller amount
Definitely watch his other videos too don't get too discouraged! Trade in a simulator to rebuild your confidence
Yeah hang in there and scalp in and out quickly never holding more than a day
Best teacher on UA-cam! Much gratitude for sharing your experience!
I just finished a full week of not breaking the rules Ross follows and had 5 green days in a row and added 82% to my total portfolio value. For me, discipline is the hardest part of this but wow, that was some week!
Ross I also noticed a difference between trading a big account vs smaller. With smaller account, say, 1000$ cash accnt, you just choose the most obvious stock that definitely goes up. You don’t care so much if you lose $30. My problem starts with larger sizes. Then I take two, three positions of different stocks at once as nobody knows which one will go up which one stall and go down. Then I miss the time to sell on those positions. Now as my account grew a little bit again, after blowing off at least 3 times, I decided not to take more than 1-2 positions at a time. I absolutely cannot trade in simulated account. I should have started with that, but if I stop and go back to paper account, I will not be motivated to trade. It will not reflect what I would do real time. I should say I still trade on a phone, 2 phones. It is hard for me to transition to larger screens. First of all be cause I don’t want my family to know yet until I become successful, but even then I think they will not approve.
Also, instead of limit sell orders, if I can, I should just closely watch the stock and sell on the highest, and not sell in the middle of move because my limit order gets filled then.
why do u not like buy short u can make money with both am just curious
The chance of losing more on a black swan is much higher, additionally, there are borrow fees and in some cases no shares available to short on many of the low float stocks Ross trades.
I think I'm blessed if not I wouldn't have met someone who is as spectacular as expert Faith Reece
Talking to an expert like Faith Reece to reshape your portfolio is a very smart move
Faith Reece goes deeper than just looking at the surface-level trends. she explores technical, fundamental, and sentiment analysis, offering a comprehensive perspective of the market..
So you guys know her too?...
Wow she made my husband and I have our own house and car.
She is good! 👌
It's incredible how well this speech captures the struggles every trader faces. It's refreshing and motivating to listen to something like this every now and then. Thank you for sharing!
To me, the fear of losses or the emotional concerns of losing are proportional to the amount of money one has saved and is using for trading. If you have only 5k saved and you use it to trade, and you lose $100, it hurts more than if you had 5k to trade, but also have savings of 50k in another account. This is why I always trade only a smaller portion of my total savings. It's much better for me emotionally. I'm like saying to myself, "if I lose, no worries. I was planning on it".
If it was easy everyone would be at it mate and we'd have walking billionaires, its why my message is always do it alongside other things, or get a job, work on yourself your mindset your emotional composure, habits, health its way more than just technicals and I found that out the hard way myself
@@ShelleyfromCali from Cali but say 'mate', like an Aussie..... What's going on here? 😉
Solid advice from Shelly from Cali 👍 😋
Well said, managing emotions and sound money management are key to trading unfortunately most won’t pay attention to this until they’ve gone through the motions of getting smashed about then they look for clarity on the psychological and emotional aspects. I'd say having guidance from an experienced pro who has already navigated the complexities of establishing and adhering to trading rules can be a wise approach to consistently secure successful trades while still improving as a novice.
Great video as always. For me, trader psychology has always been something I need to work on. When I have a good week or month, I tend to get stubborn and hold on to my losers, averaging down and giving back more than I should. This leads to wanting to make up my losses, which spirals into more losses. Then, realizing I'm no longer grateful for 10-cent or 80-cent profits because I need more to offset my losses, it's time to recenter myself. Trading truly is hard, and you are always learning. I'm truly grateful for you, Ross. You are a great teacher and mentor.
This video get straight to your heart ,so true, gold information ,God bless you
Ever since I started scalping only the number one top gainer on a bull cycle between 5am to 8am I increased my win ratio increased dramatically. Instead of searching for the next big run from the 20 to 40 percents levels to run to 80 to 130 percent. Once a stock gets to 130 percent and holds that strength with micro gaps ... I start scalping if the other winning variables are there and there is a bullish cycle in play. If two new stocks knock the one Im trading out of first place , I let mine go if I start seeing weakness.
Ross, the way you truly care for people’s success is just mind blowing 🤯 You are an awesome soul ❤
This video could not have been more precise to where I’m at in trading. July has been a “break through” for me. Recouped all my losses from the last 12 months. Thought I had it figured out, then Friday I gave back about 2 weeks worth of gains. This video keeps me in a good mindset. I’m almost to phase 3! Thank you Ross!
YAY....MY first green week Thanks to Ross and Warrior Pro!!! All is well!!
Congratulations 🎉
Nice work !!
In Pro Baseball you are considered a successful batter if you get a hit 30% of the time or better. So failure is a big part of the game and so mentally players have to come to grips with failure being the norm and reducing that failure as being considered a success.
Its so easy to be abandon a strategy. So many on YT give you their strategies. You analyse it over 100 trades and somehow it doesn't make money. But like you said, they do work but not how we would like them to work - 100% success. Learning a lot from your videos Ross. You're up with the best of them.
I'm being stubborn and wanting to trade real $. But I finally have been able to kick my own ass to convince myself to trade in a simulator first. Thanks for repeating that message in all your videos, Ross.
Dang, this is an amazing video and hits right in the heart
Ross, You’re the Best!
Love it!! Very grateful for Ross Cameron 🙏
So much experience in Every Single Word. Save me to loose so much time and money. I'm in P2 now and such as " wow, sambody talking about me". Thank you, Ros from the bottom of my heart that you exist!!!Greatest thanks to destiny to find such a great man! I'm lucky to have you as my mentor every day. Thanks again!!!
Ross from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
You are really, really good teacher.
I'm loving your videos and channel so far and things are finally dawning on me. Followed my discipline finally on Friday and had one of my best trading days in ages. Time will tell if it sticks but thank you so much for the advice.
First things first for me, get rid of my T212 account, they don't update prices anywhere near quick enough! I'm used to HL and their updates are always popping along nicely. Just a shame they're 11.95 a trade...
Please make a video on volume. How I can read a volume and how I can apply..
Thank you Ross. Momentum trading is where it's at for me.
I trade predominantly forex, yet I come back to Ross' videos time and again, your enthusiasm and willingness to help others is truly a gift. Thank you sir, blessings, protection and long life to you and your family.
Thank You for re-enforcing these basic lessons. This is useful to me, as it serves to remind me that the basics must be right first, and everything else is just another layer on top of it.
Ross, have you ever done a video on PRE MARKET trading?
Thank you ross
Hi Ross, what do you think about moving your entire trade to break even once it is in a good amount of profit?
Ross will move his stop to break even quite often.
@@DaytradeWarrior Good to know. I had some bad results with to many trades getting closed out early but I will see if I can arrange my positions to stop that from happening. Thanks for the help!
I really needed this video. Thank you. I'm just starting and getting SMOKED. I WILL MAKE IT
Profited +44.55% on COUR last Friday. I bought the stock 9 days before it had the best day in its stock history. I've finally got this figured out, never trading when the market is open means no stress. I have a swing trade plan, I stick to the plan and nothing else. Always take -60% of the percent I calculate the price will increase. For example, If my spreadsheet shows the stock will go up +100%, I set my limit sell order at +40% of the price I paid for the stock. I also never look at stock market news.
This is so f*$%$ing good! Once I master the strategy that I have, I'm signing up with you to learn your strategy! Appreciate you more than you know!
Hey Ross,
I have the same story where I started trading with my father’s inheritance.
Love your content. Keep it up. 👍
Ross hi, I understand you promote simulator for good reasons, although I can tell you from my experience {And I been on simulator for 5months - profitable) that because of lack of emotion I found out that what I was doing on simulator was a lot easier to do than with real money. First of all, I was just breaking rules on sim and also, I easily took trades on sim that were good setup, but looked "dangerous" to take - so I missed a lot of those with real money. For me sim just isn't a relevant tool until today. I just cannot have the same "respect" and discipline as with real money. Thanks for all your content!
But you need it in the first months to get to know how to trade. You need to move on eventually but trading in the sim will save you a lot of money.
Just as Ross said, keep being green in the sim and then go live
Best teacher on UA-cam ,THANKN YOU ROSS
Man I’m so grateful to have you in my life. Thank you
Sounds like you can read my soul! Waow that's exactly what I ve been gojbg thru . A big roller coaster . But I feel like something is missing or hasn't click yet ! But thank you Ross for all your wisdom 🙏 keeps me motivated and gives me hope .
I love that you talk about nuanced wisdom, it is wonderful to hear these rules and strategies but also your acknowledgement that we do need to use our minds and educated intuition as well as sometimes an indicator might not go with our intuition, but I am learning if the intution is hesitation to follow it above the indicators and if my intuition is to be agressive when the indicators show opposition to not follow my intution at that time, and this I am learning from you and it has reduced my losses so I am very grateful.
Good video...
Day trading, swing trading and investing. U got to have knowledge, strategy and discipline.👍
Very informational!!
I like the way you present the realities of the markets, stocks and the way one trades. As you described the mistakes, I thought to myself, You picked the right spot. You were gaining and had the thought of now is the time to sell. I didn't. Mistake. Maybe it will come back up. mistake. Many other things you described I had to admit being guilty of. Ultimately instead of making 6% today on the stock, I lost that much. Then of course a couple hours later, it made that and more, but I could not sit there paying attention to one stock for hours.
Also, I never really understood the candles until watching another of your videos. That is what enabled me to find the right time to get in. It also told me when to get out, but I got greedy and paid the price. 😑
Master trader and a Master TEACHER! Learned so much from your videos! THANKS ALOT ROSS!
The best channel on UA-cam. Thank you Ross!
Hi Ross,
Been following you for years but this year I decided to take trading very seriously and watching you and all the gems you give makes the journey more easier so thank you for that 🙏🏻
Two questions for you if I may.
Do you use the level 2 data a lot?
Do you also use hammer and shooting star candles or are you not really so heavy on trading the reversals?
Thank you for taking the time each day to make these videos for all of us out here in UA-cam land Ross. Some might say that they are repetitive and in an essence they are BUT I believe that its a good thing and it speaks highly about who you are and your passion for what you love to do. That not only being Day trading the market but also being able to teach complete strangers how to do the same and if we Liston and follow your teachings, learning how to properly implement what you teach then we can be successful on the level that we are at no matter what that level is and one day with time and practice, Start to level up. So thank you Ross. You are an inspiration! Happy Trading!
P.S. Your audio book is still a great listen!
This video is gold, thank you
I get alot from this style videos. Gives me confirmation of things im already doing and insights for ways to tweak my plan and strategy. Thanks!
Ross, I feel like you're talking directly to me. I had beginner's luck last year and now I kinda suck because I'm swimming in strategies. I made a lot more money before I knew anything. Now, which strategy should I stick with? Downloading your strategy PDF now. Thanks.
Thanks Ross, at this point now after several years trying to build a track record and going live Monday. Your advice and teaching has been invaluable, thank you!
Exactly what u explained in the beginning of this video is what im going thru right now..but i started in May. And I'm starting with money I got from my mom when she died last year! So the same sentimental deal applies. When I came down to the last of it, I didn't just want to spend it til was gone, so here I am.
Just a thought, I think it's true in so many places in life, you have to lose to learn. People who win are people who aren't thrown off by losing, but who learn quickly from losses and adjust accordingly. When I'm learning something new, I have to approach it with the strategy of learning rather than winning necessarily.
Yes!
In my opinion, it’s wrong to only trade one strategy. You should have a playbook of multiple strategies and know which ones are A setup’s and A+ setups and maybe hold off on trading less than great setups until you have a cushion and great risk management skills
What’s the baseline? What is the curve of learning, if learning is partitioned in the effort?
I agree. As a matter of fact the strategy you use will depend on the A+ setup. The set up could be a dip, bounce off vwap, break of resistance, etc… There really is no one strategy, you have to be a well round trader all around.
Thanks for the down to earth real life path to successful trading over time day by day
Ross you are amazing. I’ve made $500 in my 1st active week which was my goal for the week. I used MACD THANK YOU !!! I love your teaching style. Thank you. Jaime Melbourne.
You are the perfect person for trading because you have self control over emotions
Hey Ross, this is my 2nd week of learnint to trade and you've been a big help. I was wondering where I can find a good trading simulator.
Muchas gracias por tus consejos y tus cursos. Te escribo en español porque no se me da la escritura en inglés, pero entiendo todo lo que hablas cuando lo explicas y honestamente quería agradecerte por este medio.
I'm curious as someone BRAND NEW to this - any suggestions on just....how to even look at stocks? good software/apps to use to view stocks? things like that. The ideas I am following in his videos but I haven't even started trading yet, I mostly just want a better grasp of how to even look at stocks and use the apps that I would be using to view and trade.
Thanks for confirming Heiken Ashi candles. Huge difference between regular candles and been watching you on and off for 5 years 😲
Been at it for about a year now and have started very slow, 1 share to 10 shares to 100 shares. Im at anywhere from 100 to 500 share size now depending on price of stock but really have struggled to size up. I guess its good to keep on the marathon vs sprint mindset. Hard to not want to get aggressive when I see Ross making 100k this past week
I always sell at the pullback when it’s just another wave up!! Now I realise why I sux cos I always get mislead. I need to watch more of your videos to watch how to tell the difference
I am right now a breakeven trader after months of losing, it feels so good and my confidence is way up
You are a really good and interesting presenter and teacher
would be nice to see how you've set up your screeners , and alerts =)
Thank you for taking time to make these videos. Very educational and helpful. Do you think from a discipline point of view, that it would be wise for a new trader to limit himself to only trading for a few hours a day or should that individual try his best to take advantage of the whole trading day. Thank you
Thank you for the advice
Wow Ross, you made a video just for me...this is exactly how I feel on most days/weeks...BUT, I continue to study, and I truly feel I can get good at this. Kind of like golf, I think I can be a good golfer as well. 😃
Thank you very much for sharing Sir
I would watch these vids just for the entertainment factor. However, the content is very helpful as well!
I'm working full time on the west coast, and moving up quick. Interviewing for a salaried position next couple of weeks at the same place. More money, more responsibilities, more flexible schedule. Waking up between 4am and 5am pst to trade each day, then leaving for work at 6:45am pst (meaning I miss open most days), and having a kid graduate in June (honors 😊) has all made trading everyday in a small account overseas incredibly difficult. I fail. A lot. But I know what to do now, and I could buy a small island if simulators were real (😅). Now it's just a matter of time until the good habits become a part of my core as a trader, and the bad habits fall off one by one. Looking to take a real stab at it again this winter. This time, I'm going to go back into the simulator for a while before, AND I'm setting share limits, and max/total daily losses with my broker. Slowly raising those limits as I prove I can handle the size. Ross gives you all the tools guys, it's up to you to put it all together.
Thank you Ross.. something to remember every day when you are trading!!
Thank you very much, golden Video to watch several times until the concepts sink in!
I tell you Ross... I've had the WORST streak the last 2 weeks. My account is down 30% feeling pretty depressed. Thinking I'd better short the things that I think will go up. My intuition is just lousy.
I have felt the same way
The problem is most people value money over themselves.
This is exactly what I'm feeling rn. Now I'm going to step back but I'm going to move stronger.
I trade futures myself but the concept is the same. I had 2 terrible days this month but after 2 and a half weeks I almost have my account back to break even. Most the time it's the position sizing and risk management that needs fixed.
I love to watch every single video you make! I feel like i learn so much from theese because of the fact that i deeply relate to your examples. I have wanted to start trading since i were 16 years old but in Sweden, there is an age limit of 18 to start trading on your own so I put away money every month in an index fund. I turned 18 a month ago and I experimented a little bit on my own the first days. I won many trades and I felt on top of the world. But then out of nowhere, reality hit when i had the confidence to do large positions. Lost 4000 dollars in four days and I realized that I needed to do all the theoretical because I will never give up until I win. My account size is not as big as it was before and I lost a lot confidence with it. So now, I have tried to take notes from youtube videos but I didn't actually understand what I noted down. Until I saw you full trading guide and got a really solid foundation I feel like. Thank you Ross for providing us with all of this useful information it really does help and I learn something new from every single one of your videos! Don't stop. //Lucas
Thankyou! This has helped me so much. I appreciate you!
Which trading simulators would you recommend?
Thanks Ross, you're absolutely incredible.. learning has been made simple by the way you break down things, ultimately I'm learning alot and I greatly appreciate you for that. Keep it up Sir🙏🙏
Thanks for actually taking the time to help out
“A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a master of one.
Hi Ross just wondering that once we buy membership do we get to follow your day trades live with every day ?
Thanks! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lastly I started with $100Au
As a beginner trader, managing emotions in Ross Cameron's momentum trading strategy is tough. You need to make fast decisions, set up your platform with shortcuts, and spot patterns instantly. Plus, it's easy to get greedy when stocks jump 200%-300%, making control hard for newbies. That said, I fully endorse Ross's advice in his videos. If you excel in a simulator with momentum trading, swing trading becomes easier since you have more time to think through your actions.
Thanks Ross, I’m in phase 2 now!
I thoroughly enjoy your content ross
I started in 2017. 2020 was a breakthrough and 2023 strategy breakthrough
Hey Ross, not sure how much trade secrets you give away during your morning streams, but can we get some recordings of maybe some of the successful sessions? I would love to see a real trader in action, I learn by watching others work and looking how they operate
RISK management!!! 2 to 1 profit to loss ratio with same lot size and you only need to win 1/3 of trades to break even
Great video, I have a quick question. I am an aspiring trader, I am looking study some traders and earn off their expertise rather than investing myself and lose money emotionally. Whats your take on copy trading? Do people really make money? Just looking for some reassurance.
Thank you!
Thanks Ross! I wish i watched a video like this 4 years ago when I started :) I appreciate you man 💯🍻💪🏼
My problem isn't my trading plan, its this inflation, the inflation reports, FOMC ,CPI , market being pinned every single day.
