I learned from a retired nurse, who had R.A. in her shoulders, to put whatever I use the most on the lowest shelves. She did that with her food, dishes, glasses, mixing/serving bowls, and anything else she could no longer reach. I thought it was such a smart idea so I did the same with mine. I also learned to live with my decision for a week or two to see if I needed to tweak my placements. I love it! No more moving a mixing bowl to get to a platter! 🎉 I have a small kitchen so I decluttered what I don't use and donated what my children didn't want, which was very little. Young people don't cook, they just microwave whatever is quick and easy.🙄 I hope you have a blessed week! ✌️💖🙏🇺🇲🇮🇱🕊️🙌🤜
Granny, you are doing great..ITseems I am always doing some kind of arrangement of stuff. Camping is fun, driving is not..so if you can go somewhere within a few hrs/ much better!!❤ Have some fun, while you are young!!!😊👍🙏❤🌺🦋🌸🦚🌴🐚🦀💮🐠🐞🐕
I took down curtains in my living room and dining room and washed them. I cannot remember the last time they were washed…..😫 They will need ironing, but I don’t mind that a bit. I got them down all by myself. I think getting them back on the rods will be more challenging. It’s always good to be more organized--I like the shelf you’re using. ❤-Brenda
One way I used to keep track of what I had in the cabinets was making a list of what I had and how much and then taping it to the inner side of the cabinet door where it won't be seen and then making a check mark or something next to the item I used so I knew at a quick glance what I had without having to shift through canned goods, or if I was going to the store I could tell what I'd used and needed to replace.
I have not used those laundry sheets .Still make my own. I do have a husband who is a welder so we have a lot more laundry to do. Maybe some day I can get some of those sheets. It's good to go through things ever so often. Glad you are reminding us folks.
I always enjoy a good decluttering/organizing session! Today I am getting my daughter's homeschool work ready to be sent to our reviewer. This is always a task for me and I'll be relieved when we have it sent and hopefully get the word back that it has been approved. I like to really stay on top of things with homeschool and keep our records up to date and on time. It's hard to believe another school year is just about complete! Have a good day!
Happy Monday Granny🙋🏻♀️ Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day!💐🌸. I’ve GOT to try those laundry detergent sheets - such a great idea! 🤩👍 I usually buy the larger containers of liquid because it tends to be less expensive, but the OLDER I get, the HEAVIER those jugs feel😆 I’ve got a list of household projects I really want to get done this year ( feels like my STUFFED to the rafters bedroom closet is just GLARING AT ME everytime I walk by🤦🏻♀️🥴🤣😂🤣) Sending Blessings from Maine❤️
Hi from Los Angeles! 🙋♀️ Being in Calif, the possibilty of quakes dictates my pantry arrangement. Lightweight items go up high with heavy items lower down. This way, I (hopefully) avoid getting a head injury as I try to flee.
USPS was supposed to collect bags of food this past Saturday for second harvest. They left Mail but left the food bag untouched. Sigh, I just took it to church. I love little winks from God. As I was lumbering up the hill to the reception hall ( which might make me late for the service ) the people who collect the food came out and met me at the bottom of the hill. I told her post office loss is y'all's gain. LOL.
I have pasta, rice, and old-fashioned oats stored in vacuum-sealed half-gallon mason jars. Stored in a cool, dark, and dry place (closet or cupboard) they stay fresh for years.
I just love to be organized, I like to put things in Jars that I can see. It’s easier. I’m learning things to make life a little bit better. Thanks for the tips to get organized. ❤
HI GRANNY,❤ Nice video you sure are keeping busy. Going camping sounds like fun. Driving 10 hours is really long and 😫 tiring. I hate driving myself only go very close. Going on a closer trip sounds better. I need a bigger house, no storage space for everything. Nice to see you as always. Hope your weather is going to be nice for camping. Its so hot 🔥 here lately 100-102 degrees already its insane.😅 Stays hot till end of September. Hope Gizmo is doing well. Have a fun time. Take care, stay safe. All my best, Mary -- Southern California near Palm Springs.😊
Hi Granny ! Long time sub, and always enjoy your videos ! I have tried the laundry sheets, and honestly, I do like them ! No more big honkin' laundry jugs ! I use a different brand, but I do try try to buy either USA or Canada made. Bless you, Darlin !!
I have use Arm & Hammer since I went to college in '72. It was what my mother used. It works for me. A half cap full does two loads and rinsed out completely.
So back in 2009 there was a laundry sheet that you could also keep in your laundry and throw it in the dryer and it acted like a dryer sheet. Boy do I miss them? Because at the time I had an apartment and I lived at the top floor. It was so much easier than carrying it jug
I did my pantry complete make over and you are right, it is quite a job. I must’ve moved mine around 5 times before I was satisfied. But it is a great feeling when it is done!
Just a suggestion, put those items on the bottom shelf in plastic baskets, and being glass those jars could go in baskets also. You've inspired me to do my cupboards now.
Granny I trying to fix my room up I just moved.in.a big house with My son And a friend We all are going in together to pay the bills I love you sweetie God.Bless See.you soon VA.❤🙌🌟➕️🌈
I have been in a cleaning frenzy this week . Cleaned top of kitchen cabinets since they don’t go all the way to the ceiling, countertops, and just yesterday cleaned out and rearranged pantry . You wouldn’t believe how much stuff was expired . Finding things didnt even know we had because everyone has a habit of just throwing stuff in the bottom and on top shelves . See how long it stays that way . Also cleaned out the refrigerator. Must be that time of year .
I bought a stand up freezer when covid hit and repackaged my meat and stocked it up. The freezer died after 2 years. I lost everything and because it was repackaged I could not file a claim. Never again. I waited for Mountain House freeze dried meat to go on sale and bought that for emergency food storage instead. Peace of mind is priceless.
I am on a declutter/downsize mission. Getting ready to move on in life after an unplanned early “retirement”. Keep up the good work Granny!

Granny
Good motivation video. Good luck cleaning out. I try to go through my food 2x a year and my clothes as well so others can get use out of it.
I donated three bags of clothes and getting rid of some dressers. It's always great seeing you again. I love you Granny 💜💐🦋☺️

I have been using only laundry sheets since they came out. No jugs to get rid of when gone. They seem to last a lot longer too.

You're working hard granny. Don't over do. Rest when needed.
The other day I ate 4year old spaghetti noodles. (from 2020) Taste great.

I recently decluttered and took inventory of my pantry & it's so much easier to deal with. Now, I intend to eat from what I have. 😊
The pantry shelf is great! ❤
Great video
Those laundry sheets are so much better for our environment than all the plastic jugs.
Where did all the jars live before you moved them to the laundry room shelf?
You are such an interesting and cool lady. Love your videos and it's a plus that they are not long.
I have pasta, rice, and old-fashioned oats stored in vacuum-sealed half-gallon mason jars. Stored in a cool, dark, and dry place (closet or cupboard) they stay fresh for years.
Ditto !😊

I have a similar set up in my laundry room. I have an old homemade, very sturdy bookshelf. I love it. I also use mason jars!
Thank you granny! 🙂

Good morning Granny 🌞.
I recently cleaned and reorganized my food cupboard. It looks so much better.

I've been rearranging cabinets also rotating can goods 😊 Have a Blessed Day ❤
you kick butt Granny.

I love those laundry sheets !!! I have been using them over a year now ! Ugh, I am always rearranging my cupboards lol !!
Hayesville N.C. is where I lived the first ten years of my life before we moved to Ga.
Always things to do! God bless you! 😀❤️
Just a suggestion, put those items on the bottom shelf in plastic baskets, and being glass those jars could go in baskets also. You've inspired me to do my cupboards now.
I like Tetley tea also. Do you like any other brands? On a different subject, I will look into those laundry detergent sheets.
Granny and Gizmo ❤❤❤😮😮😮😊😊😊
I love laundry sheets! I’ve tried quite a few. Enjoy your videos!
Hi granny good job

Thank you for sharing your ideas with us'
❤❤❤
I would put the laundry stuff higher up because you use it more often than the food+ you won’t have to bend over so much.
Good idea!!! Heavy jars should be on bottom
Have a great evening 🌆
I need to do this
🥰

Good morning

Be careful with those jars on that plastic shelf. They are very heavy.
Hi Granny I all the You show us today wonderful day 🙏🏻✝️☮️🥰🫂🌺💐🌹
