It's just a good depiction of puberty and not over the top in your face spicy moments that are forced in without it connecting to the overall storyline.
Wholesomely perverted is a good way to describe it. It takes me back to my teenage years, and the depiction in this series about how relationships develop between teenagers is pretty accurate. It's much more realistic than a lot of relationships in other anime. Minus the love hotel setting since those aren't a thing here, I was definitely in a situation like that with my high school sweetheart where we liked each other but hadn't said anything directly, we were just hanging out, and things just... happened. I'm not even the kind of person that likes romcom or slice of life anime, but this show feels super natural and is really refreshing.

I don’t think it was made super clear in the anime, but Marin did pay Gojo properly (like material + labor cost). So they’re on equal footing financially speaking
