Yes. Its often confused with fake dating and has so many different names. I've also heard it called the 'Contract' trope too, forgot to say that name in the video but there are so many great books and movies out there with it. Another awesome book rec that uses it is the Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang but that one focuses more on a smexy arrangement lol

So have you seen Singing in the Rain? Would you call that the OG Dating for Convenience? It's really at the behest of their employer, which complicates it a bit...

I like the dating for convenience trope. Would The Wedding Date count? Because I loved that movie. It is so funny because while I love this trope, I can’t imagine taking a stranger to a destination wedding or something like that.
I’m going to have to watch Holidate this weekend. Looks so cute!
I've also never watched this one but I just watched the trailer and it seems like more traditional fake dating as most people don't know they're faking. This looks like fun movie though so I'm definitely adding this to my watch list 😆
