Right guys , I didn’t even realise our first bird flew back up , I thought it had trapped so that’s frustrating. We win the club but as expected on a fast day we were 5th fed , I counted the seconds from seeing the bird to it hitting the trap and it’s 30 seconds but because it went back up it’s slightly more than that lost , if it rocketed in it could have been 2nd fed but there is a bird in our federation 1min + clear in the whole section which is quite remarkable. South Shields as a federation has flown great in the section around 4000 birds so even though we were 5th fed I suspect we might be in the top 12 of the section which I’m happy about . Head wind next week thank god and only 5 days till the race and then the week after the first national . Full returns today 👍
Well done 👏 👍 loved the video as always. I must admit I thought it had gone back up but rewinded it and convinced myself it was a trapping bird 🙈 Never mind that good bird would have won anyhow. Likevyou can't wait for the first headwind and a bit of a test. Keep up the good work 👌
Loved the video guys, those birds trap brilliantly. I helped my friend with his pigeons when I was young, it doesn't leave you, I 22:46 picked up a Red & white pied in Jersey 20 plus years ago ringed S Nordstrom & Son Bradford !! Also fed a blue and white pied on the rocks in Tenerife Las Americas( Spanish bird) ( have got photos) just taking water from my hand. When I was a Kid 40 years agp a blue and white pied would fly from the roof of a council house onto my hand so I Do know a bit about pigeons !!
Well done lads ,overall a great days racing ,5th fed with that wind today is top racing really ,to pull birds out of a bunch so high up isnt easy ,well done great video ,enjoying watching the racing so far ,just need the wind to turn round ,all the best lads
Well done lads the birds are coming well and finished very good, me and my daughter couldn’t send this week we were both at work so this week same race point. Well done great watch
Well done Richie trapped a hell of lot better this week ours were the same good luck in the results them speeds don’t do us any favours bring on the national 😊
awful mate, and I know it’s good for getting them home and experience but they’re not getting the hours on the wing they need for a Maidstone head wind if it materialises. That happens and done of these yearlings will not face it.
@@jock2109I couldn’t agree more , see we’ve never been in a situation like this before , normally we would have some top older birds but as I said last season it’s knocked us back 2 years as all we have is yearlings this year , as much as we need a head wind it’s extremely difficult to win them with yearlings . Next week looks like a head wind so we will know a lot more after that race as to exactly where we are at but I’m thinking a tail wind at the national might be our best hope as it’s a 100 mile jump
Hello Richie, great trapping in this race with the strong wind, to trap from that height could of easily have gone past so a credit to you both for the hard work put in. Regards Dave.
