couple years old.. anyone still on this channel??? i installed this succesfully on my pc.. but now it wont install on my father in laws pc.. asks if my internet is working or if i have enough hard drive space.. yes and yes.....
I know these replies are old but for anyone new looking into this problem. The files are saved in the folder that you run the setup.exe from. It creates a new folder called "Office". Once that folder stops increasing in size and changing the create date/time then it finished. Also, it will return back to the command prompt where you can type again once it's finished.
when we finish installing, we won't see Click to run.exe in the background process right? I really hate that service. Please answer, I want install office 2019, but I hate C2R totally, because that f****** program running in background process, and usually eating much resources
I have one more problem, can I create a .bat file or other type that can run the "run app" and then paste my setup.exe path to it? It just seems like a chore to have to copy the link location, open up run, paste it in, then hit enter for every installation. The setup does not appear to run with elevated DOS or elevated PowerShell. It launches and does try, but the Office Installation window eventually just disappears and no second window pops up and prompts you to continue. Any help anyone can provide is greatly appreciated!!!
@@CarsonCloud its a manual installation. And the contents of the bat is just a path to the setup.exe with the switches needed to run with the config .xml file. Here is the file though: \\ityohami7z240\2020_Installations\OfficeSetup\setup.exe /configure configuration.xml So it's in a network location \\servername\shared folder\app folder\setup file /switch for config files Any help you can give is greatly appreciated! It's just with this new way of installing Office and I'm sure other MS products in the future, it sure would be great to just click on a bat file and have it install the way old .exe and .msi packages did!
@@CarsonCloud Thanks Carson! I did try with admin rights from DOS and Powershell directly and for whatever reason, Microsoft seems to only allow the install if you run it from the run app/line. Although I've only tried it on one computer so I'll try it on another one and see if maybe something else is blocking it. Thanks again for your input!

no. it should stop when installation is completed.
How long does it take to download when during your video paused?
Give it at least a half hour. There will eventually be a new command prompt.

can I see the contents of the bat file? btw, do you run as SCCM package or manual install?

the switch is correct. you need administrative rights to install office.
