Hey all! In this video I touch on my experience with switching from testosterone injections to using a topical form of testosterone as a gel. This video is only meant to be informative to those who are considering medically transitioning (or already have) and is simply my first hand account of one of the possible methods. Those interested must take the topic and further inquiries to their medically qualified physician.

Absolutly agree about gel. I started with gel, changes occurs in less than 2 month. Constent level is the best for everything. Skin absorb it in 30’. No worry for anyone😉. I tried injections for 2 month and had some acnee plus feel sad and kind of depress.

First let me say. Amazing update. Got to put yourself first before thinking about uploading a video. Us fans will patiently wait. Second, not sure if it was just me. But the music was a little over powering and it was hard to hear what you were saying sometimes. But om glad your happy with your decision and doing great now.

When I started HRT I used gel, but I switched to injections after three months. I just find it easier to go to my doctor every three months than use the gel every day. It's different for everyone, but I prefer it that way.
By the way, I just wanted to say the music is a little loud, it's a bit distracting.
ur blood levels wont be stable if you get a shot every 3 months? or is the oil time released?
Going to your doctor to be injected is much easier than what he had to go through (self injection). Im sure if getting injected by a professional was an option for him he would probably continue to take the injections.

It is. Sure, it's not as stable as getting the same amount every day, but my blood levels are pretty stable and I've never had any problems like not feeling well when the three months are almost over. Some people have problems with that and then it's a good idea to switch to gel, but for me it's better this way.

Oh yeah, I forgot he had to do it himself. I probably couldn't do that, but for me that wasn't even presented as an option. I could either use the gel every day or go to the doctor every three months. But I live in Germany, maybe it's just handled differently here.
OGAesthetics there are some other options in germany, for example the t-shot every three months. It's called "Nebido" and it contains 1000 Milligramm of testosterone, so it's like a depot. It's very common in germany I think

Damn now I wonder if you have a girlfriend or boyfriend not sure how things work in the community. But you have changed alot since the beginning but it's so nice to see you in your transformation little by little.
I started on gel and I've been on it for 9 months. At my 3 month endocrinologist appointment, my levels were already at one of a cis dude. It does take longer for the affects to be seen, approximately 2 months for my voice to start changing and 3 months for an increase of facial hair. However, I do recommend this option to anyone because of what Ryan said; your t levels remain consistent and you don't get as much acne as those on the shot, also needles are the worst. I'm glad you are great Ryan, it's good to see you again

Ryan, your videos really helped me out when I realized I was trans.. unfortunately due to my current job I am not elegible for transition but hoping the policies change soon. Please keep on updating, please update how to put on the cream and more about taking t and top surgery, how’s your life after t. Just more videos. Love watching them, they keep me motivated even when I myself are unable to transition yet.

Enjoyed watching your update! I have been on testosterone for three years now and I’ve never taken a T shot bc of my fear of needles, etc. I’ve found the gel to be much more manageable in terms of mood regulation and the effects on T! Definitely be sure to take care of yourself properly when your bottle is almost empty. I tend to find that I get kind of blue and/or a bit anxious around that time. Glad you were able to self-advocate and get what you needed! :-)

Hey, great video, I have been on gel for 9 months now and feel my changes have been quite steady and I'm glad I started with gel so my body didn't have too much of a shock (with acne etc and balancing the chemicals out as I have a history of that) but I plan to switch to injections in the future so then I know the right amount of T is going in my body. So I'm basically gonna be doing in the other way around. Best of luck on the gel.

if u have acne problems, cut dairy out. 2 weeks without dairy now, all my acne is gone.

Hi Ryan! I'm a Brazilian trans man and I'm using a hormone that ingestions are done every 12 weeks and I have felt pretty good. I do not know if this hormone is available in the United States the name of the drug is Nebido but I think it would be interesting for some people who do not feel well with injections.

How long does the Gel last you with the pump? I never thought of doing Gel because I hear it’s so expensive.. but just checked GoodRx and $64! For one pump which isn’t bad at all. I know for some dudes use the box of packets it’s like $130 for a month supply. I’m a little over 2 years and the shots are painful now.. I’ll have some lumps from the T or even so sore when I walk it hurts now. I had a time that I was using a different size gauge needle and it was smooth.. but the 22gs hurt so damn bad lol. Last week I was pushing down hard yet the needle wasn’t going in! They even changed my dose to every 6 days versus 7. I’m definitely over shots.. especially on the days I prick more than one place in hopes the needle goes in. Once one spot doesn’t work out it adds to the anxiety cus more pain usually is involved 🤦🏽♂️
Good evening Ryan. So as faras the gel, it is sai it is not as effective as the injection. In result for you how much more accurate is the gel? Did you have to be on the injection for a certain amount of time? Also... You say it helped your acne, how so?

I was on injections the oil that was in the Testosterone was cottonseed and I got a really bad allergic reaction. Now I’m on gel “andro gel” and I also got an allergy reaction. It’s been a week since a I’ve stopped the hormones I’m much better and my anxiety and all side affects are gone. I feel much better and at this point I don’t know what to do. 😩

I don’t like taking my sub q shots, the whole stabbing my skin all the way never really pleased me. Cause of it tho I’ve stunted my progression by missing weekly shots. I still want to be on shots so I can feel fully myself but I really like the idea of gel. Is there anyway you’ve heard of mixing the two? A low dose cream w a 1.25ml of T a week?

I'm curious to know how trans males take trt as they obviously need even more testosterone than I do cos unlike me they don't naturally have testosterone coming from all over as unlike me they weren't registered as male from birth but they're as masculine as I am anyway cos they identify as male just as I also identify myself as male

gel is weak... stay with the shot..its cleaner.. it won't rub off.. and the shot can be done Sub-Q no problem.... .. many of my bodybuilder friends have been doing Sub-Q shots for many years.. and these guys compete in shows.. I do intramuscular.. .. butt that gel is messy and doesn't get fully absorbed..
Gel doesn’t work as well bro , you should’ve just maned up and sticker with the test injections , twice a week for a most consistent test level , I keep my T levels at around 800 to 1000

But does anyone else think it’s harder for MTF women to transition compared to FTM men? I’ve just been really struggling lately. I would love to hear someone else’s insight..
I'm going the opposite way, I'm doing away with the gels then I'm gonna go to the injections as I find taking testosterone topically to be such a faff every morning and would find doing it injectably to be a lot less hassle. I happen to be as society would class me to be a cisgender man who needs to take testosterone replacement therapy but I prefer not identify as cis cos it doesn't sound manly but instead I prefer to describe myself as a man who is happily registered as male from birth as that's what I am in reguards to my gender and masculine identity
