I love the traditional firing order of the old mod motors vs the coyotes. They sound amazing, just need to mod them correctly so they can run fast. I got TFS 38cc heads for my 96 GT.
Yeah they can be sneaky fast, nothing too crazy but they are fun and sound amazing and are fast to have a blast. Check out some of the newer videos, it's come a long way!
@@TheRealKazmir I am a 2v enjoyer. I have a 04 GT and a 08 crown victoria. 2v culture is definitely a thing. One of the only engines you can show redline everyday and still get 300k out of. (Partly because they're a little anemic on power but that's OK they are the best sounding modular lol) And I did watch them the car is sick man! Love it
Nice! Yeah the all motor 2v can shock people, making mid 300s to the wheels is great for the weight, and the linear power powerband is great. I had a blown vortech 2v making 600's but this time I'm prioritizing a bit differently
@@TheRealKazmir I failed to mention I used the trick flow heads for that power. The only thing I changed boosting my car was a Victor Junior Intake and better springs in the heads. I run a 78mm turbo and e85. People hate these 2v but if done right they make great power and there very light compared to todays Muscle Cars
Good video talking about TFS heads. I couldn't find many a couple of years ago when I was planning my engine upgrades. Did a PI swap on my '96 with cnc ported heads(stage 3 porting)and stage 2.5 cams which were degreed. Heads and cams were from MHS who are top tier in my opinion. My car was dyno tuned with SCT and runs and drives with good drivability. Need to get it to the local track soon and make some 1/4 mile passes. These older 2v Mustangs sure are fun I agree!
Just for reference, I modded my 02 with TFS heads in October of 2011 . I bought the kit from Summit, heads and cams ( stage 1 /228/230 duration ,550/550 life .I have put well over 100,000 miles on this combo on the stock shortblock so reliability will not be an issue with regular oil changes.Let me see , bullit intake , long tubes, 30 lb injectors.Great reliable cars.330 rwhp and 328 rwtq, I run 4.10 gears.
Working on so many parts for my 2000, but cams and heads are coming this year for sure, trying to go boosted next year. LOVE the sound of these and your sounds incredible with the heads and stage 2 cams!
I want to make a point. I got scammed on some used ported pi heads so I bought the tfs 38cc heads. Already had comp stage 1s. Added a factory Bullitt intake. The car made 344/360. The 38cc bumped me to 10:1 compression. Later I added a vortech supercharger. Made sure to pulley it down to about 5psi. Car made 400/368. Mind you, this was all on 91 pump and a safe moderate tune. All that combined with a sticky tire and 4.10 gears made the car an absolute riot to drive. Destroyed cars at the stop light that on paper should’ve eaten it alive. Beat the living crap out her for years. She just wouldn’t die. I said all that to say, don’t fear the added compression. You’re only limited to your quality of tune and fuel. With moderate boost, 10:1 is nothing. If ya build the bottom end, e85 and let her eat.
@One Trick Pony Media awesome! Love my 02. If you wanna put up highest number possible then the larger combustion chamber will allow more fuel to be dumped into it with a Turbo but honestly both heads rock and are WAY better than stock in every way. Amazing build quality
@Noah I greatly appreciate the kind words! I'm gonna be posting more soon, I'm dealing with some life stuff but my build plan is laid out for most part!
Mines bone stock did a muffler delete don’t sound like a mustang anymore sounds more like a mopar how do I make it sound like a 5.o mustang I’m thinking the flow masters first of course
2v culture baby

Great bullit poihts . Great vid. I too would choose the trickflow beads and cams over a blower setup. Sounds great.
H/C geared 2v's from digs really surprise a lot of people. Wish mine had those things (other than 3.73s lol)

I made 333 rwhp with my 1997 GT with comp cams and the PI intake.
Car makes almost a 1000 now. But I surprised a lot of people with a NA 4.6

MHS is absolutely amazing, bet it runs super well!! Thanks for the comment and watching, love hearing about another 2v ripping
How much hp did you make??
@@matthewvarnam4302 331 rwhp - Now I am installing a d1sc Procharger on it!
Black is going to look great!!
Nice, i have the 38cc TFS on my 01 bullitt with stage 3 MHS cams makes around 345whp
Nice bet it sounds amazing and is a ton of fun. Quick too! Anything over 320 in these 2v is pretty quick for what they are

Have you changed the valve springs though? I've always changed the valve springs with aftermarket cams every so often
Yes, the heads came assembled and the cams came with the kit also.I bought it from Summit racing. It’s still running great still in October 2024🤙🏻
Check out some of the newer videos yo see the continued transformation!
This is great info, im putting one of these motors into my 2000 ford explorer
I’m in the camp of ported stock heads, mild cam, 10.1 compression & nitrous
That's a good call too, I'm gonna go nitrous this time around I think. Nothing wrong with ported heads, think it's way more cost effective!

I'd like to know where you got the heads every time I look for them all I see is out of stock including Trick Flow themselves haha
Check TREPerdormance or Summit, i know someone who ordered a set from TRE but summit recently had them in stock
@@TheRealKazmir ok thanks alot and subbed

Appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment! Figured I'd share what little I know and experience with them

Would you recommend swapping trickflow heads into a grand marquis ?
I mean if you just want a fun 2v Grand Marquis hard to say no. But it's a tough sell for the price if power is the goal.
@@TheRealKazmir thx I appreciate the advice
what part of tennesse?
East
This is exactly what I'm thinking about doing to my mustang. Did you do the install yourself? Or have a shop do it?
Head assembly I did, but I let the shop slap the gaskets and heads on there then put it straight on a dyno!
@Kazmir What about the cam? Been thinking about doing it myself but don't want to fuck it up lol.
@Kazmir hope you come out with more videos as well man your stang is sweet
@Noah if you aren't comfortable with cams then I would have a shop do it! I did cams for head assembly but I still do prefer a shop doing it tbh

I have a mix of bbk long tubes and h pipe (h pipe deeper sounding than the x pipe) and Pypes exhaust
I'd stay away from flowmasters. Rob horsepower and sound like a tin can
Drive it on over to Nashville
Hahah I'm fixing to paint it here soon! Maybe one day
0-100 video🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thanks for watching, yeah I could do that! I'm looking into trying autocross, not fully decided. I'll likely also run it at the strip too
What mufflers are you running?
Pypes. Everything else is just BBK. I'm glad I went with an H pipe, my other one had an X pipe and my personal preference on these is an H pipe
