TPC Harding Park is one of the best Golf Courses in the San Francisco Bay Area! Home to the 2020 PGA Championship, the 2009 Presidents Cup (where Tiger Woods had the ultimate club twirl) as well as many other huge golf tournaments!
I decided that hitting fairways just wasn't a lot of fun, so instead I stayed in the extremely thick rough ALL DAY LONG... Great place to play and can be very difficult if you can't keep it straight! Awesome driving range and one of the best First Tee programs in the country!

Awesome video series... glad you were able to play some of the best of N Cali courses... We had two 'boy's trips' to N CA... 2021: Harding Park, Half Moon Bay (both) and Presidio and in 2017 we played Pasatiempo, Spyglass and Bayonet. You missed a gem with Presidio and I hated Bayonet... waaay too hard and punishing of a course. Watching your vids reminded me walking all those courses. I'm currently a 4.7 HC but at the time of the trips, I was a 7-8 HC... great times
I agree! I’ve played pretty much everywhere in the Bay Area. Cal Club, Lake Merced and Olympic Club put the public courses to shame, however HMB and Wente Vineyards are two extremely good public courses! Presidio is cool as well. Wouldn’t rate that in my top 10 in the Bay Area though.
Bayonet/Black Horse are also good courses for a great price!

I think that Harding Park gets a lot of traffic as a muni course. They probably have to keep the greens a little slower just to protect the grass.
They definitely do. It is still in great shape even with all of the play.
They do it to speed up play (less 3-4 putts by the hacks).

Haha thanks! Recovery shots seem to be one of my best qualities because I am good at shaping the ball, it also makes me swing a little easier I guess!! Realistically, I’ve probably just had a bunch of practice playing out of the trees because I miss so many fairways 😂
Greens at TPC HP are extremely slow. Not sure why keep it that way. Possibly due to the amount of play the course gets but for a TPC course its too slow. btw...good round!
Got to say this but with golf snobbery in the UK the guy in the T Shirt with the cap the wrong way round would not have been allowed on most courses dressed like that also the the other guy with his shirt hanging out would have been told to tuck it in or he also would not have been allowed on the course Im not saying this is right but on premier courses they have a starter and he would have not let them play with the dress code.Some courses that are just pay and play perhaps but a major course not a chance ,
Harding Park is a pay and play municipal course, so you’ll get lots of people who just run out to play in whatever they have on that day. Private golf courses not a chance…
Who cares? Just get out and have fun. Attitudes like this are what turns away newcomers. Been golfing for 30 years and I’m grateful the stuffiness is slowly leaving the sport.
@whitefro024 it will take a while for this attitude to change but I think it is getting better

Great golf and great production. Only thing I’d say is to adjust your body language, it’s slightly distracting. I’d bet your shoot the round of your life when you don’t mope around acting frustrated after every shot (especially on the greens). Don’t forget golf is fun, and you’re probably near scratch and in the top 1% so enjoy the ride! Philippians 4:8
