    His game and Morikawa's are remarkably similar right now. Similar distance. Similar emphasis on precision with the irons and putting to win. Ability to hole shots in the short game to break through. I'm sure Morikawa molded his game off Tiger's. Also, Tiger can still win multiple majors from here.

    I would watch tiger all day. Still has wonderful hands and touch. There is still the feeling of, he is the Man, wind was getting up a little as he finished, and at -1 for 4 rounds ended up in a tie for 37 th. Pretty good considering all the missed fairways and bunkers etc. watching this round here i wish i was thare. Hardly any spectators following him round. Could of walked every hole with him without the masses.( i no covid 19 has kept everybody out ). But Man i would have loved that. No covid, the place would be heaving with people. If he can defend his masters. Oh my goodness. (The Boss.) It would be awesome. Augusta is good for him. Also trying to equal jacks 6 masters. That will be talked about alot when it comes round. I really enjoyed all 4 of tigers rounds here at the PGA. big thanks for showing them so well. Vids run great. I would add that i hope you cover ever round of tigers as your channel is brilliant. Who is the announcer who keeps having a wet dream over Tiger's square set ups? Within the first 3 and a half minutes the same announcer has already talked about Tiger Woods' square set up three times. Perhaps this is what the announcer does on Saturday nights alone - reviewing player's set ups to confirm if they are square or not.

      If u ain't square than u dont care

    • @RedGrant2008

      Some folks, like this announcer in particular, are happy with a bottle of red wine by a fire place, dim lighting, laptop in hand, left hand on the pause button, right hand holding a protractor to measure those perpendicular 90 degree angles of the squareness, and some kleenex in proximity, if that square set up, like Tiger's becomes too much to handle.

    To me he looked really good there. That golf course was a real oddball. I don't know what it was but the areas in front of the green seemed uneven and the greens themselves were hard here and soft there. He putted very well, around the greens he was as good as ever and the sand was wet...so, .....I think he is ready to take another Masters in November.

    Tiger should have played more competitive golf before this, just to get rid of the rust more than anything, because once he is on his game he is so much better. Watching his previous rounds he just reminds me of someone shaking off some golf rust. In some of the interview's I've seen he looked like he was under the weather slightly, I am not making excuses for him but was he recovering from a cold or something? It's amazing to watch him playing again after all the surgery he's had. I never thought he would ever play competitive golf again . It's been really painful watching him miss those putt's, in his prime he would have been putting those putt's away!!

    Tiger plays less pga golf than those at the tail end of their champions tour careers.
    If he thinks he can just show up once every few months and contend , he is conceding that jack's 18 majors are out of his reach.
    He can keep getting reps in his home golf club , but, as results have shown, those are not the swings, the chips, the putts under tournament pressure , and golf ball doesn't care if you are tiger woods.

    • @lassepleb3258
      @lassepleb3258 4 роки тому

      Only problem this week was his bunker shots. He almost didnt make any up and down from the bunkers.
      If he had made the same bunker saves as he usually do, he would be 7-8 under par.

      @@lassepleb3258
      Just poor bunker shots?
      How about poor driving, poor putting ?
      If he would have, could have , should have - we can conjure up all these speculative scenarios for all players.
      Bottom line: He is playing so little that there are no substantial tournament reps, and without that he can always continue to say he needs more reps .
      What a nice vicious circle of fallacy !
      On top of that he shows up at a major with a modified putter and expected good putting on 4 four consecutive days. It got progressively worse from the second day until the leaders were out of his view.
      On the driving front, how many fairways did he hit ? He was at the lower end in the field constantly hacking out of the rough could have given out his back of the 44 year old tiger whose body is in worse condition than a 65 year old .
      Bunker shots ? Well, you admit the ugly week he had in the bunkers.
      All this poor play and inactivity has put him in a position where he may not move past the first round in the playoffs. He might as well shut it down and just play the masters.
      Jack's record is out of sight .

      @@reimannx33 In 2019 he had 13 appearances and won a tournament and a Major. I don't think he's playing too little.
      With his back, playing more won't benefit his results at all.

    • @reimannx33
      @reimannx33 4 роки тому

      Yes, in 2019 he played several leading up to the masters . He admitted that needed several tournaments to be ready, which is exactly my point.
      .
      By contrast, this time he showed up playing only 1 tournament when he had several chances to add at least one more tournament before a major and he did not despite being 5 months off from tournament play due to covid.
      Result : barely made the cut .
      This is not too difficult to comprehend !
      If he cannot come into a major having had at least 2 tournaments worth of reps in 6 weeks prior to a major , Jack's record of 18 is even more unattainable .

    Tiger... must now accept the fact that he is human like the rest of us...much better round today... but he is a club short on the majority of his approach shots... we all lose distance with age.. I notice a lot of the Pre Haney too upright and swat at the ball.. yes he get the distance that seems to be stuck in his head , but Tigers control is suffering terribly...at least this round he was more square to the target with the driver... the back swing was on a much better , flatter plane too... It’ll come around but these last four rounds make it hard to believe this is the same guy that just won the masters..also, he has got to make those putts for birdie that are outside of 5-10 ft...

      Jesse Brook Taylor I never said I could.., but I would love to play a round with him.... I didn’t even mention his sand Saves were also terrible... it just seemed like he was on Autopilot par mode... not kill them all Major mode.. Don’t get me wrong .. I’m a huge Tiger fan... it’s hard to watch him play like that... I was mostly pointing out that he is struggling with an issue that even Hank Haney couldn’t beat out of him... In the last 8 years or so .. He is not the guy with massive drives anymore.. I think this really bothers him... you can tell when it is because his posture will slump and he will be way more upright with his takeaway... and he will set up much more open at address...this causes him to be too steep with his swing and he has to flip his wrists and catch up before contact.... it gets him the distance but his control is greatly affected... that’s what Haney tried to teach him for years.. lose a few yards , keep the ball in the fairway, and never 3 putt..
