He Is Still In Small clubs Because He Will Not Sell himself They Want To change his Style And Music,,,,i give Him Credit he sticks To Who he is at All costs, We No how Good he is...Just Awesome and i Very nice Man also
Most folks have no idea of what they will ask you to do. In the day having a contract was worth it, not any longer. TTB has shown the way to get your stuff out there on your own.
Other guitar players know how good he is. Just watch the Blues is still alive Cruise
No ots because its been done before and those acts never broke big either

Phil stays true to him self and God... He should be famous but he knows better... In this sick world it's better to be under the radar
He is a class act...
This is how Philip opens a show? Jesus Christ!!! It's crazy how good this guy is, just beyond...
Right?!? Just BOOM!
I know right!!!!!!!!
ua-cam.com/video/A6iV6fWViFI/v-deo.html look at this
It's Killin for sure, but the drummer need to do the right groove.. That's not the beat to driving south at all..
This guy is BEAST! AND A STRAT TONE FROM HEAVEN
What I like about this guy is that he's no copycat! He's original as he can possibly be while playing those familiar badass Hendrix/Vaughan licks that we all love to hear. I don't feel he's trying to be anybody but himself. A lot of people that try to emulate Jimi or Stevie act like once they start playing their signature "train" of licks, they don't know where else to go, but this guy.....JUMPS OFF THE TRACKS WHENEVER HE WANTS TO.
100% agree Sayce is is own thing.
Indeed! He flows like water, never a glitch or one bad note, he's untouchable! A monster player !
Does anyone know how talented this dude really is??? Like wtf is he still playing in small clubs??? Im telling you this guy is more gifted than some of the big cats out there. Just sayin
kandj he's a living legend
@@anthonygaribay1830 He toured the world backing Melissa Etheridge who, to her credit, gave him plenty of space to shine. But he wanted to do his own thing. Consider that guys like Kirk Fletcher, Josh Smith, Davey Knowles and even David Grissom are all playing similar sized venues most of the time. They're all equally talented (we may have out favourites but let's leave personal taste aside) but it's a crowded scene and not a big market. 😒
@@kevinjohnbetts You are spot on with Davey Knowles. I saw the Rory tribute show and he blew the roof off. Great to seen young guns keeping it going. Seems like yesterday Kenny Wayne and Johnny Lang were the new hot shots
I like him, he’s really good at what he does. But I will say SRV did it much better and had an extremely good voice, the reason I bring up SRV is because clearly this guy wants to sound like him. With that being said, we’ve heard this before by someone who did it way better, not to mention there’s about a million other fender players out there on UA-cam who can play just as good as this guy if not better. His songs aren’t nearly as catchy as SRV’s either. We’ve just heard this all before.. go to Tennessee in any club at night and it’s full of guys like this. Stiff competition for blues fender players..
Kevin Betts you hit the nail on the head. These guys are great. They could easily tour with big acts. And as you said Philip did and he was also with Jeff Healey. But he was also playing with Uncle Kracker. Remember him? And Philip was great. But what would you choose if it were you? They prefer to be up front. And they should be if that’s what they want. And blues sadly is not mainstream. We all know how shitty a lot of mainstream music can be. So I like that they stand their ground. Same with Mato Nanji from Indigenous, Chris Duarte, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, all the blues guys. Oh Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Well they’ve been around for over 30 yrs. they have their following that can support them to a decent degree. Then it’s all good. Because once these guys disappear so does guitar based music. Basically, the blues. So keep it up guys. 👍🎸
wtf man, he is really extremely good, I can't understand how people don't give him the credit he deserves
A buddy auditioned for bass (no go, oh well) and came back raving about him. My new favorite...
Two months ago, I never heard of the song Driving South. I found a live version and couldn’t get enough of it. I went looking for other people who played it and found Phillip. Since then , I have listened to everything of his I could. His stuff with Jeff Healey rocks. He is a fantastic guitarist, and still seems to be really enjoying what he is doing. 🎸 👍👍
One of the best living blues rock guitar players. Excellent vocalist too. And the rhythm section is tighter than a camel's ass in a sandstorm. Perfection.
Camels ass 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Made my day! 😀
I like that camels ass thing. Ha!
Holy shit! This mofo is the most soulful amazing cat I’ve heard since srv. I stumbled on this this am long time blues player myself very critical of all modern players- hands down this brotha right here is legit! He is the real deal!
god damn it the strat .i cant live without the strat.27 years on and still cant live without my strat god damn
Stop comparing. Just listen and enjoy! Great voice, great playing! Amazing talent! Keep rockin Mr. Sayce
Outstanding playing and energy! He's tuned down a full step
Real music made with real instruments. Before your very eyes! Damn, I miss live music!!
I can't get enough of this dude whAt a f----ing way to open a show. Found Phil by accident a couple weeks ago monster talent!!!!
THIS GUY IS SO UNDERRATED !!! TOTALLY BRILLANT PLAYING!!!
Just found this guy, man I'm an instant fan, another master of the stratocaster!!!
The man is a great singer with a great voice too! A rare combination
Man, that vibrato is massive and so well controlled!! Sauce is a great player with speed, technical ability and feel. He has a really good tone and continues to push the boundaries. 👍
Perfect tone and sound-picking. Wow!
The tone he gets is magic.
watching his fingers dance on that fret board inspired me big time loving it
This guy is one of the greatest guitarists that have ever lived, so why the hell on the earth is he playing the 2 frogs grill in ardmore? What a bizzar world we live in.
Because Taylor Swift rules the airwaves. Lol
Keep it that way. Mainstream kills creativity.
True that. He kills it on Driving South
I'm enjoying every minute I get of Sayce in small clubs it's the best!
The same reason Coachella had NO rock acts in its two week line up.
Thank goodness for guys like Sayce. Love to see him live.
Can’t wait to see this guy this weekend
saw this guy as an opener about 7 years ago, Phil is doing stuff on guitar that nobody doing and he blew me away. He a bad man
That left handed drummer! Everyone is awesome as usual!
Philip doesn't hide the SRV or Hendrix influence he embraces it. Stevie had a pretty big influence as well that shined through his playing from a guy named Albert King also Jimi. I've been watching Sayce live since 2005 I've seen him do stuff I've never heard Jimi or Stevie do. Sayce is his own thang he's spot on for what he's doing and most importantly he loves what he's bringing to the forefront. I love him just the way he is. Year after year I'm surprised by what he plays, blows my mind that he keeps getting better and better each year, pretty each time I see him he's laying something crazy down lol. Plus he's the most realest kindest humblest human being you'll ever meet. Philip is the man ✌
THANK YOU so very much Natasha for capturing Phil and sharing with us all. I live in rural BC, Canada and may never get a chance to see him live but you keep bringing him to me. Bless you Natasha, bless you!
Jimi Hendrix' influence is unending on guitar players. I'd like to see him and Randy Hansen share a stage.
Electric what a concert that would be
How hard he's hitting the strings is unbelievable! His storming the sound out of that strat!
It’s hard to play blues thru a Strat without getting Stevie Ray comparison but Sayce is still an incredible player.
Rory Gallagher Strat :)
@@electricchurchmusic4298 It was interesting to watch some of the videos of Davey Knowles playing Rory Gallagher stuff on the 'Bands of Friends' tour. I appreciate Knowles is a Manxman but I think there is something about the Celtic/Gaelic heritage that leads to a different approach to blues. Gary Moore shied away from using a Strat when playing blues to avoid that SRV/Hendrix comparison, although listening to him play Hendrix material on vintage Strat makes you realise that such comparisons would have been pointless as he also had that Celtic/Gaelic thing going on.
@@kevinjohnbetts Absolutely !!
It's actually an original 60's Strat
@@1AnitrasDance '65? I know he talks about it at some length in the DVD that goes with Melissa Etheridge's ''The Awakening'. But it's been a while since I watched it. He was using heavy gauge strings back then, at least compared to what he uses now. 😎
He being himself and paying tribute srv ,hendrix moore and so on thank god magic is alive blues keeps on going on
I am so happy you posted these shows of Phillip Sayce. I am hooked! Incredible!
Saw him in Manchester some yes ago. Loudest thing I'd seen since my heavy metal days. He came out into the audience and played. Amazing stuff.
Pure Power, Sayce always delivers👊🏻 Top Quality footage. As always. Thanks!👍🏼
THANK YOU !
Nice to hear someone carrying the Hendrix/SRV legacy on.
Hendrix and SRV are influencing players till the end of times my man
Oh my god ! Discovering him, SRV is not dead!!!
OMG, just discovered him! I'm still reeling from the awesomeness!!!!!........Of course I guess most of you have already noticed the SRV/Bonamassa/Johnson influences. But let me ask everyone, have you noticed the Lenny Kravitz vibe going on in his music, or is it just me? Would really appreciate some feedback on this one!!!!!
David this is my first time watching him and Yeah right away I was like damn there's some Kravitz influence here..I was reading something else and someone wrote check out Philip.. Outstanding! I'm a huge Bonamassa fan we've seen him 5 times over the last 7-8 yrs..Was lucky enough to see Stevie 1 time.
We want more!
Just when I thought Ive seen and heard Everything! -And Along comes Philip Sayce.
A player like this isn't taught, it comes from them pouring their emotion into it. Its what sets players like Stevie, Clapton, Gary Moore and others apart from us that can't seem to tap into that inner part and just let it flow
I just love u, Natasha!! :))) Thx!
Best I've heard in a long time. Idk how I'm just finding this guy this is amazing
Dude really tears it up 👍👍👍
awesome footage, give us some more of this...
10 seconds in playing guitar, and im like "oh yeah baby " .woohoo
Two people gave this a "thumbs down". Another sign that humanity is in a rapid decline.
yea... why they even click the link?
Some folks just don't know nor appreciate good, from the heart and soul all round badass music when hey hear it. Shame those folks have their heads so far up their own asses the only music they hear is the sound fecal matter being manufactured. Love me some Philip Sayce any day of the week.
Sayce is a power to be reckoned with. Playing with Jeff Healy right out of high school schooled him and he is taking it further than he found it...you go Philip...👍
They're bots. At least I hope so.
I have no proof but I have a funny suspicion that the one may be Joe Bonamassa?
Stay away from helicopters!
And private planes for that matter
Adam and Barbiturates
You win the interwebs!
Yeah, don’t do a Randy Rhoads
Omg i was thinking the same thing after hearing 30 seconds.
This dude is the real damn deal man!!! Hendrix / SRV wow!!
That drummer is crazy fucking good. I’d kill to have someone like him on the kit!
Thank you!
Blues rocking the USA
21st century man
Keep the spirit rolling
that remember me ten years afters , Hendrix ... and the spirit 70'
Phil is like a breath of fresh air to Blues/Rock incredible.
my only regret (lately) is only giving one thumbs up to this.
This is so good, so very good. Turn it up !! An extremely talented musician, extremely.
HS! This dude, and band, is so freaking good! I hope he's got some Florida concerts coming up, 2020.
Been watching him since I was 13/14. Most amazing player. Needs to be selling out stadiums
Great video quality and awesome playing.
great work once again Natasha, just smokin
I heard about him from a Satriani interview and I must be honest. No, he does not have the precision of Vai or speak to me the way SRV or Gary Moore does, but that fool is putting in 110%. I cannot deny he's passionate and a hell of a player. One thing that stands out to me is his tone. He's nailed that holy grail of Strat tone. I'm a metalhead, but there is something special about that snarly, raunchy tone of a Strat turned up to 11 through blues oriented tube amp (Fender, Dumble, etc) that puts lead in my pencil. Good on you, mate. You deserve a bigger stage!
Exactly.
This guy is amazing! I would love to see him and Frank Marino together on stage.
И мысль , и техника , и драйв .. Всё на месте . Класс Филип !
this is fantastic
He makes Toronto proud x 1000. IMO one of the best Rock/Blues guitarist today. Check-out use of all 5 pickup selects, plus Travis/Albert Collins strumming/picking. Crazy. Love the Princeton tone tucked away next to the Zeeee🎸🎸🎸🎸👍😎😎😎 And great vox to boot a la Lenny Kravitz on 2nd song...
Runs thru a Fender Super Reverb.
Too Good, so underrated it's pathetic!!
Can you believe this guy's name isn't a household word?!! This guy should be the catalyst for a rock and roll revival worldwide, especially compared to the SHIT that passes for rock and pop these days... and for years now!!
Fantastic!!👍
Dude your killing it , love it man !! Stevie ray Vaughn spirit is alive !!
Wow !! That was Cooool !!!!
He is on fire!!
Phillip is Fookin Awesome Love the Tone !!!
Waiting for him to come up for air.Wow.
Excellent blues playing....
This guy's vibrato is beyond perfect.
That Hendrix jam is a cool one man. Not a popular song, but the perfect jam. Jimi knew a good jam and so does this dude!
First I heard of him,I dig it~~~~~~~~~~~~
theres a live version of this on soundcloud. who ever played the drums for him on that day has made me unable to listen to any other version of this song its absolutely incredible. stayed in the pocket and the entire song worked up to a climax it was insane.
PLEASE COME TO THE BOSTON AREA!!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!
I love Philip Sauce. He plays every show like it's his last. The way he attacks his guitar makes you wonder how it stays in tune!
Nice tune Kealan, thanks champ.
este es el HEREDERO. Saludos from 🇦🇷🔥🤘
Inspiring!!
This is one of your best shot Natasha thank you !!!! I Want t shirt with your avatar logo Natasha much love peace
Can only love him!
Killing it.
sounds great!!!!!
from japan
Wow! Definitely channeling his inner Stevie Ray, and knocking it out of the park!
Faaaantastic!!!!!!!
Beautifully done 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼✊🏼
Wow Wow!
Awesome.
Brute Force and precision is a lethal combination.
OH MY GAWD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This guitar was brand new a year ago😅😅...I never seen anyone attack a Strat like this...Brutal!!!
People don’t realize that Phillip is the greatest guitar player today.
I'm realizing it right now.
He’s so cool maaaaaaan
When SRV came around he was mentioned as a Hendrix copy, and now when Philip is around, he is mentioned as a SRV copy. When shall You critic people understand what great music is all about? Does they have to die before You get it?
He sounds nothing like SRV. He's got his own groove.
@@HigherPlanes Hell yeah. I agree 100%.
HigherPlanes And stevie had is own groove to hendrix. his point still stands, i think. but agreed regardless
Crunchyyyy babe!
It’s funny how people think Phillip is the only world class musician playing smaller venues. Guthrie Trapp , Andy Wood , Johnny Highland, Jack Pierson , Trey Hensley, Eric Gales , Josh Smith , Matt Schofield, is literally the tip of the ice burg. All my favorites do it. Just go to Nashville for a weekend and u can see it for yourself. This chicks channel has all of em on here I’m sure. She’s a total bad ass and gets the best footage of the best players Good to see her close on 100k subs. Share vids folks!!. It’s the best way to get these players their due!! It sure as shit won’t be the pop charts.
very very cool !!!!!
