theres so much prince inspiration specifically in his songwriting, notably "Beautiful" and "Lady Love Divine" in my opinion.. i saw this guy in Manchester last month now I'm addicted
Wow!!!! incredible talent. How cool would it be to just wander into this random bar and hear that.. I would immediately throw my guitars in the nearest body of water!
Absolutely a professional level of playing. They deserve success, it’s a shame that they haven’t been fully recognized but others put out crap and it’s mainstream.Phillip has definitely payed his dues .
@Thomas_ - string gauges may shock you... and I wouldn't give it too much for granted. just check out what he says at 5:15 on this video: ua-cam.com/video/NE99lNVUQJY/v-deo.html&ab_channel=guitarMagazin
Robert Bolognese WOW! Don't recall any of your performances on Austin City Limits 🎸🤔. You're Not on Diamond's Dozen nor Public Access Channel LUV from-ЯUSSIA. Maybe stuck in the back on the discount rack at Big Tony's Emporium of Wasted Space-Celluloid-Vinyl & Digital Media.
Phil always caught mad hate cus he’s so humble and such an amazing player. He may have heavy srv influences but he has more Jeff Healy in him than srv and he’s def his own dude. He plays like Phil Sayce when it comes down to it.
@@bigtsshackfestival9563 agreed, I hear more Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Healy. He reminds me of the Zakk wylde of blues. Phillip is a monster player with awesome tone . Peace brother 👍
This dude is the truth. I'm so happy I stumbled on this video randomly from the UA-cam sidebar, it really does hook you up with some gems 👌👌
He plays with the aggression of SRV and has the confidence of Jimi... B-E-A-utiful!!!
......and yet, he wont probably make any classic hit, compared to two guys you named
@@picajoool neither will you
@@Sunny-yg2pq :-))))))))
@@picajooola classic hit is decided by the audience, not the artist
@@Kallum I think you understand what I mean....Shreding blues gets boring very soon.....
Literally just discovered this guy. Phenomenal!!!
I am in the same boat. Wow.
This guy is ... a trip ... he's got it ... He's on one Level with Vaughn, Prince and Hendrix

The great perfection. Buddy Holly with Steve Ray ´s fingers
I wonder what string gauge he uses ??
69
I think they're as light as 009 and he plays in e flat
My sister's cousin's uncle's best friend who once met him at a taco stand in San Diego, said he uses 15-72
he uses 11-59 d'addario strings E flat

Such a shame this guy doesn't put MORE effort into his playing... Tsk-tsk... GTFOH...
