The reading simulator reminded me of a Minecraft server. There's a server where some people made a library and filled it with real life books that you can actually go in and read. It was made to create access to commonly banned books since Minecraft isn't banned in any country that we know of.
Definitely gave off minecraft vibes, the books especially I thought looked a bit like books in minecraft. Pretty cool, I like minecraft lol so that definitely endeared me to the Reading Simulator a bit. I'm curious about this server! Do you have the IP address or like a way to join?
The first game's look would be great for a game where you're a librarian and you have to put the books away and go find books for people in a certain amount of time! Also, there's the Witcher card game video game on Steam (called Gwent) that you could try Jesse.
Am I the only person that discovered last year that I can play video games and listen to an audiobook at the same time? It’s not every game but like games with lite goals or lots of collectibles or sandbox games- so Animal Crossing, Assassins Creed, the Sims, Hades all work. If there’s plot, just pause the book. 💁🏼♀️
I think you'd really like the TellTale series of video games. They were story based games that played like Choose Your Own Adventure books where you would have to make quick, tough choices and your actions would affect future events in the game (and would carry over to some of the sequel games too.)
it would be cool to play a game based on Discworld. You would play as The Librarian, and travel across time and dimensions to save books. The Librarian is a wizard who got turned into an orangutan and has made peace with it. I feel like this would be the ultimate bookish game for me.
that second game was like if someone decided to base it off the aesthetics of 90s mcdonalds characters, for the purpose of letting out all the excited energy you have when finishing a really good book and want to throw it at everyone to read also! i love the hat, it makes you look like you're part of an idol group with a cute concept. like i stan JTR Dream (jessethereader dream) 😆💛
Was I reading a book when I got a notification about this video? Yes. Did I stop reading to watch it? Also yes. Do I regret it? No I loved this video❤ thank you for another amazing video Jesse📚❤
Me having flashbacks to yttd (Seriously if you don't care about the game you should play a certain part of part2, the characters are literally fighting books)
I started playing on switch The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince and it’s so beautiful it’s like a Japanese(? they speak another language so sorry if that’s wrong) gothic fairy tale. It’s mainly the beautiful artwork and a story you can read with very simple game play, so I think it’s perfect for that cozy reader video game. Obviously the genre wouldn’t be for everyone, but I think based on the art style previewed you can decide if it’s for you.
You are too nice about these games 😂, I can really see the difference between "normal" people that play games ocasionally and (almost full time) gamers
When you try to pretend that you like read "I was reading all day long... in simulator" 😂 The second game was a mess. And another looks complicated, we here for the books not for the economy 🤣 Thank you for the video, it was fun!
It's not exactly a book game but there's a minecraft server called the uncensored library that has books that have been banned in various real life countries
You NEED to check out Alan Wake if you want a bookish game that is EPIC. Basically you play as Alan who is a writer and you keep finding pages of a book you wrote but don’t remember writing and the pages are coming true around you. There’s more to it but I don’t want to spoil too much. Check it out. Trust me!
There are video games out there that are based on or inspired by actual books/comics like Spiderman, The Wolf Among Us, The Pillars of the Earth, The Walking Dead, The Witcher, Metro, dozens of Lovecraft games, Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor, Alice in Wonderland games and so on.... but Jesse is obviously playing the weirdest indie games ever that no one has ever heard about. :D
i would love to play some bookish games. That sounds fun. I should go search. I didn't fall in love the first and last games you played. The middle one picked my interested a little
Does 100 Classic Books for Nintendo DS count as a book game? I remember it being pretty good. It had background noises, a rating system, suggestions based on a short questionnaire, downloadable extras over Wi-Fi, short introductions to get you familiar with the books and authors, and had badges to show what books have been completed.
As I gamer and reader I was immediately intrigued. I am curious on if you play any visual novel games or visual novel-esque games? Personally a huge fan of Danganronpa. Also squeal! Dead By Daylight.
Jesse you need to know the joy of playing the Witcher 3 on PC/Switch cuuuuuuz 😘👌 open world action. It's great it's beautiful...I logged too many hours last year on it😁😁😁😁playing it the second time around is still fun
Pls try Zelda Breath of the Wild! But word of warning, it can be very overwhelming at first- it was for me anyway and put me off for a while, but when I got the ball running eventually I think it’s a cool world to ventrue in!!
There’s nothing wrong with going on a video game playing kick. It can be much more engaging than reading at times. Pitting hobbies against each other isn’t cool.

I need to know more

i am 100 percent on board with the librarian hunting you game. someone needs to make it!
Did I pause my audiobook just to watch Jesse’s new video? Yes, and it was worth it! 😁
I paused mine too 😂
Same!
Haha exactly what I just do 😂
I would love to watch a Let’s Play with Jesse playing the Series of Unfortunate Events game!

The vibe of game #2 is giving me serious stranger danger vibes.
LOL
The Nancy Drew video games are my absolute favorites!!!! I'd love to see you play them!
Jesse talking about how he wishes that a librarian would chase him while the building's on fire was like readwithcindy levels of humor! XD
I loved this😭 pls do a part two
You should film a play through of a visual novel! That would be fun to watch.

🖤
That first game could make an interesting way to organize and browse your actual ebook collection if you could add all your actual ebook purchases.
I recently discovered your channel and I'm binge watching it. Wish I had 1% of your energy .😅😅
AH so excited for this new era of content
Me having flashbacks to yttd
(Seriously if you don't care about the game you should play a certain part of part2, the characters are literally fighting books)
the hat looks really good omg!!
Omg I’m LOVING this concept! Love seeing you in your element and incorporating other things you love 🤍
The game about the library has a nice atmosphere
For the second game, I like to imagine that instead of making the humans disappear, throwing the books at them traps them inside the books.

Ready for another bookish video with Jesse! I'm loving all your content starting out the new year it makes me happy ^^!
🖤
The Nancy drew games are so much fun! They're good streaming games if you're looking for that.
Hey Jesse when you picked up a christmas carol by Charles Dickens in the reading simulator game I actually read that book already.
When you just delicately covered up that little blob 🤣 🤣
You are too nice about these games 😂, I can really see the difference between "normal" people that play games ocasionally and (almost full time) gamers
I hope Reading Simulator wasn't expensive. It looks like you're paying for a pretty background and books you can get free from Project Guttenberg.
Am I only one that seen Christine's (polandbananasbooks) 2nd book at the beginning of Jesse's video? And oh yeah another great video Jesse.
As a former librarian I can confirm we did walk that fast lol
I’m counting on Jesse to make us a bookish video game
When you try to pretend that you like read "I was reading all day long... in simulator" 😂
The second game was a mess.
And another looks complicated, we here for the books not for the economy 🤣
Thank you for the video, it was fun!
YAY! today is a Jesse day!
I had such a bad day yesterday... And now seeing you makes my day better. Keep going Jesse! Spread positivity! 💖❤️
It's not exactly a book game but there's a minecraft server called the uncensored library that has books that have been banned in various real life countries
ooh that sounds interesting!
This video was so much fun to watch. Love seeing you play video games! :D
This is the most hilarious things I’ve seen 🤣🤣🤣🤣
WE NEED MORE GAMER JESSE!!! 🎮

I have never clicked on a video so fast. Also don’t feel bad about wearing the hat. Wear what makes you feel good.
I was choking on my dinner watching this cause I was laughing so hard
You have to play DokiDoki Literature Club ;) even though it has nothing to do with books, it is just psycho, but good xD
I don't know why but I think Jesse would love What Remains Of Edith Finch
jesse you had a gaming channel i would totes watch it. 😱
Great video! 😅 Made me laugh and I love the matching sweatshirt!
You’ve made me want to try publisher tycoon lol!
I don’t know if this will help, but Skyrim has a lot of books you can read in it, just as a idea if you want to do a part 2
You can even bring books home and display the favorites on a personal bookshelf. I thought that was pretty cool when I played.
i would love to play some bookish games. That sounds fun. I should go search. I didn't fall in love the first and last games you played. The middle one picked my interested a little
I'm watching random Jessie videos. And everyone I have clicked on, he has mentioned You've Reached Sam😂. I need to read it now
I love your channel! ❤️
I don't think I would plat any of these games but if there was a cooler bookish game im down!
Welcome to the video where Jesse gets repeatedly disappointed
😂
u should play choices or episode and film it it will be fun
Love you Jesse, hope you are well 💛
YOURE SO HANDSOME AND BOOK SMART I LOVE IT LETS GOOOOOOOO
Omg imagine if Jesse starts becoming a dbd streamer. I would not hate that tbh!
lmao you playing the publishing game was a mood :-P

Omg!!! I looove this, I laugh so much. THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO!!
Ay! Boba and Jesse?! My exam procrastination is going STRONG
As I gamer and reader I was immediately intrigued. I am curious on if you play any visual novel games or visual novel-esque games? Personally a huge fan of Danganronpa. Also squeal! Dead By Daylight.
I have played and almost solved pretty much all of the Nancy Drew games. You might like Shadow at Waterlily Edge
I just saw 'uploaded a few seconds ago' and jumped to the click option
Same
This was so funny! 🤣
that shaky guy looks like darian bestie on lots of caffeine
When I saw you upload this video all I thought about was ps1 hagrid
I love you're video's 🥰🥰
I'd like a prime book game.. But I'm not sure what I would like the goal of it to be.. But I think there should be one!
Not Jesse getting a virus from downloading bookish games.
I want to make friends...not hurt people! *throws book at someone*
I couldn't stop laughing 😂😂😂
Jesse you need to know the joy of playing the Witcher 3 on PC/Switch cuuuuuuz 😘👌 open world action. It's great it's beautiful...I logged too many hours last year on it😁😁😁😁playing it the second time around is still fun
This was so funny 😂
this is amazing!!

Jesse the gamer
5:08 imma need some context for this one lmao
Great video!!!
I want to play the last one!
Maybe play Skyrim, but just read all the books
Play Alan Wake Remastered!!! 😄 It's pretty darn good!
And the protagonist is an author... bokkish enough?
@@Notfallkaramell Haha right?!😂
This game is amazing!
I am also a slave to valorant and other various games lmao ummm I haven’t finished a single book yet this year either
Fun video!
I am a librarian and I might start shouting at people who run around...
wait i love the hat
There’s nothing wrong with going on a video game playing kick. It can be much more engaging than reading at times. Pitting hobbies against each other isn’t cool.
I thought Jesse was gonna play games based on novels.
I didn't even know book games existed.
what is that golden Scythe cover? 😭 I want it.
The drawings on the wall in library were giving controller instructions i kinda want to see what they do now...
Early!!! There are book video games?!?! 😮😮
The first game looked fun, but the second, idk if I would play that.
that's a nice hat :0
Gamer era 👁👄👁
i want to know who made these games. like who legitimately spent time and maybe money on these games. who?
I’m kinda intrigued by that last game? 😅
Hi Jesse 👋
Second comment 🖤✨
All the love from Egypt, Jesse
