Thank you so, so much! This is exactly what I was looking for. My notebook broke (dead screen) and I just wanted to save my old data. It worked perfectly the way you described it (and I'm not very technophile ...) - I really appreciate it! 👌👍
I was so thankful to find your video. My old secondary computer basically bit the dust and would not boot, so being able to remove the SSD and transfer files to my new computer allowed me to not lose any data that I wanted to keep. Thank you.
Hi there, thanks for the video, however I have a question. What if my external SSD does not recognise when I plug in to my other computer? Does it mean that SSD is fully corrupted and can not be retrieved data?
“ Put the SSD/HDD into a supportive enclosure.” You don’t mention the most important part of this process, what is the enclosure, name, part no., where to buy?
Thanks for the video it simple and straightforward and most importantly helpful.😁🤩👑 My laptop broke so I want to move my data into a safe space, because I had the same idea that they won't care about recovering the data when I send it in for repairs.
I did all this, but now when i plug the enclosure in to the new laptop it detects the enclosure being plugged in, but wont show the drive on "This PC". Cant get in the data in any way it seems... Any idea on how I can get it to show up with the volume?
@balaram krishna we had no choice but to send it in to data recovery, and ended up costing £2000 to recover the data, but those kinds of services are extremely professional and very worth it if the data is that important. Best of luck on your recovery mission.
My computer died and I'm trying to get the information from the m2ssd to load into the new computer and I'm having trouble with permission. Is there a way access the information? Thank you
right click the drive hit properties go to permissions hit advanced and then click enable inheritence. You need to click continue and then once it's running click OK on all the prompts - you should be able to get into the drive after a couple minutes
Hello! I followed these steps but I don’t see the user file when I open the SSD in a new computer. Also; my 512 GB ssd only shows about 97gb. Have i lost my data? Please help! FYI, i used a cheap usb reader from amazon; bot the fancy enclosure like yours. Does it make any difference?
This is exactly the information I was looking for, thanks so much!

Are you serious? He literally told you the name of the enclosure. Google it you lazy bum!
The box is shown in the video with the product logo on it, should be easy to find what you need from there
Spelling it out, he used Plugable brand, and as he said, its available on Amazon.
Very informative, thumbs up
