Bee Gees Alone Reaction Reaction starts at 02:42 1. Not my favorite 2. Written very well for the late 90s for sure. Fits in perfectly. 3. I think I hear bagpipes but that's not normally how they're deployed. It's normally a feature instrument or it's an Army of Bagpipes.
When this song out in 1997, we were like the BeeGees still have it! ☺️ I love how you intently listen to the songs; Appreciate your honesty. Yes they are bagpipes to my understanding.
This is one of my favorites. Bagpipes come in the very beginning and it IS many bagpipes, and in between verses. That is not an organ or synthesizer - it's bagpipes!! Easy to miss since we Americans dont hear them often.
The MAIN reason the song didn't go that high in the U.S. is because the radio stations here DIDN'T PLAY IT! 😡 American stations NEVER really got over the "Disco Sucks/We hate the Bee Gee's garbage" that happened after the disco explosion and Bee Gee's songs were literally, seriously being played EVERY 20 minutes 24/7 ACROSS THE DIAL on all the Top 40 stations, and even more on the Top 20 stations! That's what triggered the Disco Sucks Weekend at Cominsky Park with blowing up a dumpster of Disco records @2nd base and a moratorium against the Bee Gee's for the future! 😪
I like the feel of the song. I like the video too. The three around the mic in the studio 🙂 I think it was maybe a sound Maurice played with. Now that I know it's bagpipes I can here their "voice" in the opening music etc. I do like that sound however they came up with it.
I believe the notes you read from Maurice states that they were messing around with “bagpipe sounds”. I am thinking it was not actual bagpipes?! I like this one. Thanks for your honest reaction. House of Shame is also a 90’s song. Give it a listen. 😎
Always liked this tune even if I am a huge fan of their 70's playlist - there's one track which came out in 89' which you should check out '' BODYGUARD '' very soulful ballad with that Rnb flavor - check out the longer version 5.24
Love this song and the album, they give us another gift to the big fans doing their superb harmonies and melodies... I would like you go back to a very "obscure" time of transition, the albums "Life in a Tin Can" (songs like I Don't Wanna Be The One, South Dakota Morning, While I Play, Saw a New Morning...), and the album "Mr. Natural (songs like Voices, Mr. Natural, I Can't Let You Go, Heavy Breathing, Throw a Penny/Down the Road, the last two are hooked, so you may listen together), that 2 pre-disco albums were so criminally ignored, but are in my top from them, just like another superb album, the follower of the disco backlash "Living Eyes", another hidden gem (only one song here dont't like, Soldiers)... Give a chance, I'll be waiting for your reactions!!!
Its a good medium tempo pop song. Its nothing outstanding but still a solid Bee Gees 90's effort. Robin sounds on good form. I wish there was a stronger chorus or theme to the song - that would have made it a far stronger song. The lyrics are great as you say, Jay. Its not a strong song for sure. Try Above and Beyond - think you'll enjoy. ua-cam.com/video/dtqmt5YbnF4/v-deo.html
My ONLY critique of this track is they fill way too many LYRICS in the simple pop ballad. It's a beautiful melody but too poetic in it's lyricism. Robins verse is the payoff. Barry's verse is just too wordy imo.

This is one of the most beautiful songs they ever wrote, regardless of what you think of it. Their harmonies are off the charts.
Jay, i really like watching you enjoying the BeeGees you always have such a cute smile and I love your face so handsome
It's one of my favorites for sure.. Robin's voice❤️❤️❤️
Merry Christmas!!!
Awesome song, love all the video of them.💞💞💞
I always liked this one. It touches an emotional chord with me. Listened to a lot when my marriage was unraveling-good for a cry....
ohh man, I'm sorry. But at least it made you feel better.
Yes I know the feeling I had just got divorce around year prior to this when this song was released.
Thanks Jaybriel, you are so cute, love your hair
The highlight of bee gees greatness?
Las Vegas 1997 one night only..

I've always enjoyed this song. The harmonies, Robin's voice...And now I really notice the "bagpipe sound" throughout.
Agree. Say what you want its a damn nice song...and my fav lyrics of theirs

Life long bee gees fan - and I think it might be my favorite. Feels so personal
When I see the word bagpipes, I think of "Amazing Grace" immediately.
I never thought of this one being a bagpipe. For me it's just a synth.

Good thing these days with the internet everything is democratized. If you're good people will listen and share.

The live version of House of Shame is the best!
Like nobody is following me so I can say whatever I want and be honest lol
for me its 3.....fanny be tender, spirits having flown, love you inside and out,,,which were 70's

70s is where it's at for them.
@@jaybrielakoi7747 In that case ''IF I CAN'T HAVE YOU'' off the 'Staying Alive movie soundtrack is a must reaction - big tune.
I’m not at my computer so I ain’t keeping track of songs to do. So remind me about bodyguard again please in a few days. I’ll do it.
Robin - as he often so did - makes the difference
She KEEPS ON COMING by the beegees please thanks
The bagpipes were right at the beginning of the song but they were equal with the other instruments in terms of level of volume .
The "bagpipes" were done on the keyboard. It's a must softer sound than actual bagpipes, which to me, hurts the ears.

Wedding Day
React smoke and smoken Maurice Gibb vocal...
It's a good song. the harmonies sound great, but it's not on par with their superior mid and late 70's stuff. nice reaction, though.
ya not bad just not at the normal level I'm used to for them IMHO
Dude you talk like 90s music sucked. Was awesome

Man in the Middle is another good one

Bagpipes? I guess I thought it was just keyboards.
the wikipedia says bagpipes.. Unless it was taken out.
