Born in the 80s I heard some of the oldies growing up but not all of them. Now's my chance to figure out what happened with music right before I was born.

Frida - I Know There's Something Going On Reaction
Insightful commentary.
I was 18 when this song came out in 1969. It hit #2 on the billboard 'hot 100' charts. Wish I could remember what was number 1, lol. Beautiful song then, beautiful now, Thank you for your reaction. Eddie Holman is incomparable! Ah! #1 was Sly and the Family Stone 'thank you falettinme be mice elf again'
The twins were 16 when this was written in Austrailia they were not writing for the charts but clubs and Aussie TV who wanted a specific sound. That is why they left.
How can you not have heard of Donna Summer? I understand. Take that !! Maybe you're biased towards Clasical music. Yes, you are younger. So I guess that's an excuse. But you should listen to some Donna Summer tracks. This song is a masterpiece, with a haunting melody and full of emotion. I never have enough of this song and listen to it often.
This time a good election in main voice: Frida voice, magnific and elegant, match really well with the music.
Great reaction! ❤ I appreciate your appreciation!😊
Mauice is lead singer on Wild flower.
It's today <3
Las voces suenan a angeles cantando😊
Not sure I saw it at the time. I was too old to worry about parental approval - 30-ish - but I probably would have been shocked at it being from the Bee Gee's. I don't know what today's vids are like.
I don't know much Pink Floyd only The Wall and this is not that. When they travelled to Australia and from Australia to the UK as Children and Young men they went via India, S Africa and Egypt I believe and many of these sounds seem to me to be influenced by sounds /music they may have heard.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The beat is so tight, and then there are these secondary rhythms that come in the ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh....ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh. It's sort of ecstatic.
You are going to like this song but Saturday night is even better you need to do the first time on Saturday night
Johnson Elizabeth Williams Christopher Lopez Barbara
This is one of my favorites. Bagpipes come in the very beginning and it IS many bagpipes, and in between verses. That is not an organ or synthesizer - it's bagpipes!! Easy to miss since we Americans dont hear them often.
Barry was in extreme pain with his back needing surgery on this. I like this live version but you might find the version on Arsenio Hall even better, the music and Barry wasn't in pain then. It is paired with When He's Gone which is also a wonderful version live.
have a look at the live version 1979 raw with the brothers singing ...and if that dont help..then yea you are a disco boy....who cant grow
YOU ARE CLOSED.......EARLY BEE GEES IS THE BEST...DISCO BOY ,,,HEARS A SUGGESTION ...GO BACK AND LISTEN AND OPEN YOUR EARS TO THE HARMONY OF FAMILYVOCALS and how sweet they can be ...the bee gees didnt come from disco...they came from soul
45's are song singles from an album. It has an A side and a B side. 45 refers to the speed of the turntable to play it, 45 rpm. Albums speed is 33&1/3. 45s originally designed for jukeboxes
I have my own set of 3 comments about this song. 1. It is only Barry singing with Samantha. The airy "and where are you now" are both of them singing. This is like the song subway where Barry's vocals mesh with the sax. 2. This version is a lot better because it was produced by Gibb-Galuten-Richardson. That collaboration had a unique sound even if the Bee Gees are not singing (like the Andy Gibb song "I can't help it) 3. The Bee Gees only song sounded like a demo because of the drum machine and synth keyboards. It felt lacking compared to the intrumentation of this original. The rhodes piano, guitar, strings and drums here are so legit.
❤❤❤💯
My favourite ABBA song.
It’s also an intro.
Are you 9 years old?
Simple fun and joys of childhood! AdoraBle giggling!❤
PERFECCIÓN ABSOLUTA.
Three brothers. Best harmonies ever. Barry has written over 1000 songs ❤
This is the first Bee Gees song for me... I finally become their die hard gams😊😊
Barry sung this song so effortlessly... angelic 🎉🎉❤so unforgettable voice... every day I love to watch and listen ❤❤
This incredible beautiful song sung by the talented Gibb brothers 🎉❤ I loved to listen and watch Barry (gorgeous and handsome)... He looks like Jesus ❤❤
After To much Heaven, this song is a master piece. Shows all the brothers' amazing vocal ranges. There is no other group close to the Bee Gees.
Get yourself a pair of roller skates and skate the night away to this.
They hated the hair. Nancy had a cold when this was recorded, so the raspy sound.
Its so fun to listen to this one with someone who appreciates it. It is such a fun song. For me, the lyrics explain the music too ! The repetition of the melody & bassline MIRRORS the repetition & grind of all the sex in his life. Is his partner a nympho? The tiger growl mid-song says yes. 😂 The verses overlap when one starts and the other ends - another reference to serving his girl never stops. Great reaction.
You need to stay a small youtuber. You need to maybe react to something other than music.
I loved Barry’s voice!❤
Neil Sedaka and Phil Cody wrote Solitaire for the Carpenters in 1975, It's by far one of my all time favorite Carpenters song
Thrre is so mich great music back then in so many genres
Imagine criticising this
Four years later, thanks for posting this beautiful music. Your reactions are great
your preoccupation with dollar bills in the video is a bit tiresome, sir in 1976 things were a bit different, in terms of the value of money (it could well have been the now-long-gone British pound notes) considering the video was made in 1976, the fact there's dollar bills is hardly worth even mentioning & wasting your precious time (& breath) in an otherwise serious musical analysis
I love all their voices . They sound so good together and alone.
This song is very sci-fi IMO and it is very awesome, in billions of ways and well sang.
The song the Visitors is well awesome, in billions of ways and also the year it came out grotty 1981 I was only grotty 12 and stuck in grotty school and I had to hang on 4 more year to become 16 then I quit grotty school to find work which was for me a bloody struggle I did not get e proper job until I was aged 20 n 1989 the year classic Dr Who which entered its 26th and final year on the box and went into limbo for 16 years when Dr Who returned it was nothing like how it started out back in 1963 in monochrome with Bill Hartnell.
Love to see Pennsylvania stepping up to save us all from Socialism.
Amazing! And his pitch? Wow!
She was before the carpenters
When Frida sings you always hear clear and beautiful lyrics, and the most professional voice in the group. Wonderful Frida...Absolutely adore her!!!!
