Fr. Michael Lim (Part III) - Conversion of a Buddhist to Roman Catholicism

Fr. Michael Lim is a Singaporean Catholic priest serving under the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn in Australia. His story depicts his conversion from a Buddhist to Catholicism as well as his personal journey into the seminary and life of the priesthood. A beautiful encounter of the power of the risen lord through the miraculous healing of his crippled sister became a life changing event that washed away all the years of doubts and cynicism about Christianity. Fr. Michael, I know the darkness you speak of. I experienced it many years ago. When I came out of it I was changed through no action of my own. I experienced no fear but knew I couldn't escape it of my own power. I became totally dependent on Christ. Thanks for sharing your conversion experience.

"La Noche Oscuda"; the dark night. Is the moment when GOD the Father distances himself from you. Only because like a father watches his child start walking; he knows your ready to strive and he wants to see how far we can go, but as a good father he'll be there to pick us up when/ if we fall. A father can't walk for you, but only watch you learn and learn to trust yourself by making your own mistakes. In GOD's name may everything be so.
