@@LivinginManhattanKansas It looks like a great town! Glad to see it looks like the old brick downtown shopping districts are still standing and full of shops and restaurants in Manhattan, KS. Whenever I see a town surrounded by strip malls but the old downtown main street is little more than an abandoned husk it always makes me sad.
@@Strideo1 it is so true! I actually have a video coming up soon that should give you a good idea. We have a walk about here in Manhattan where I walked all around town. So definitely keep an eye out for that one!
@@LivinginManhattanKansas yep up by the stadium I hate it when there a game tons of people coming down my street and after they win they party until 12 which I hate but over all love it here not a bad place to Iive.
@Cagney Walker we had a tornado on December 15 I think it was but we are finally getting snow I think it’s weird that on the 15 instead of snow we got tornados and we are now just getting snow but over all it’s nice here people are some what nice and it’s not a bad place to live in. It’s not perfect but it’s fine I like it here.

I’m about to accept a job offer from caterpillar in Wamego but don’t have any idea about the area…I know Manhattan is about 15 miles away but do you have any advice??
@@LivinginManhattanKansas for the first couple of months while getting settled in I really need to find something I can rent month to month in Wamego that’s close to the caterpillar plant. Once I get settled in and if I can get my license I want to move to Manhattan possibly. Would also like to find a place where I can keep my pitbull…from what I hear Wamego is a place where Pitbulls aren’t allowed…
I don't know about the pitbulls. But give me a call I can see if I can help you out with getting things going for you. I know we don't have rentals in wamego. But I am sure we could find some

I am a CSCS and have equipment to start a private gym, so the ideal setting would be a live-work space (something like a studio in the back and ~2,000 sq/ft in front). I lived in Wamego for several years while my ex was going to K-State and I really liked Manhattan. It will be between that and Junction City. I am currently in the Killeen, TX area but I am leaving for Kansas tomorrow :) There are little barndominiums all over the place down here and something like that would be perfect (if the shop-portion was also insulated / climate-controlled). Wasn't sure if this fad has caught on up there in recent years.

@@steveparker2938 Went to the World's Fair in 1964 and the underground house exhibit was so awesome I remember it to this day. It saved on heating and cooling as well as provided wind storm security. It had no superstructure above ground. Would have one, but we live on the Coast where basements aren't an option. Thanks for your tornado correction.
From Topeka, went to school at KSU. I loved walking all the way home from aggieville drunk and not having to worry about getting robbed
