Greetings Donnie D: It might be a good idea to get a wind baffle for your microphone and even a wireless microphone mounted close to you would greatly improve your audio. Happy New Year Sir
Hey Double D. Enjoyed the update & the new rifle. I been building me a 10-22 target rifle. Got the Brownells receiver, a Volquartsen trigger group and a E. R. Shaw target barrel. No stock yet. I want an ONYX, but they are $400.00!! Happy New Year!!!
Donnie, thanks for a good video showing how accurate these little 64 precision rifles can be. Seems that the young gun tuber crowd think they are some kind of tacticool toy and a good review show casing the accuracy of the rifle is hard to come by.
Thanks. It definitely is tacticool, and I'm pretty sure it is gonna be pretty accurate. Especially for a semi auto. I'll know for sure as I work my way out for more distance.
@@D148521 I've had good luck with mine but I haven't tried it past 100 yards. If I hadn't of broke my foot a couple weeks ago I'd be out chasing squirrels with mine but it's kinda hard to crutch around in the mud and pack a rifle for any distance.
If you want to mount the scope a bit lower monstrom makes a very good set of 30mm low profile rings that work great getting closer to the bore axis. But I do love those Savages, very under rated for just how good they are.
Multiple issues out of the box in the first 20 rounds. Gun jammed several times Several misfires Slide stuck and won’t become unstuck Emailed savage and have yet to hear back 4 days later.
Sorry to hear you are having issues, and hope you can get them resolved. As you can see in the video, mine runs fine. It of course did not cycle the 40/710 and I did not expect it to. Just a little experiment there. Anyway, the gun also does quite well at long distance (350 yards with cci 40/1070 so far).
Got one of those and it broke after a few shots, it's be with savage for a month and still waiting for a gunsmith, appearently there are lots of these awaiting repair rn🙄
I really do appreciate your videos. I have to say however, your shooting and jaw jacking in such wind sucks for the viewers. Not much to be gained here and not exactly good for listening.
Sweet rifle and awesome shooting table.
Thanks Mike. I appreciate that.

Good advice. That wind was tough today. Did a number on the sound.
Dang that’s a really nice rifle. Good shooting! Thanks. Bezepo
Thanks Bez, Hopefully we'll have another range day here soon, and you can try it out.
@@D148521 hell yeah!!!

Sounds like you will have a sweet shooter, and Happy New year to you too.

Nice! You got one. Congrats! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it.
Yep. Weather was quite a bit calmer today. Was able to work my way out to 275 yards and hit my 16" farm disc several times.
@@D148521 sweet! That is a surprisingly accurate 22lR. I love mine.
I think I'm gonna like this one a lot.@@BackatTheRanchSTX

Yep, Savages are probably my favorite rifles
And, thanks for the tip on the rings. I've used Monstrum products before, and I like their stuff. I'll take a look at those rings.

@@D148521 update: The gun store I got it from heard back from savage and they agreed to have it shipped to them for repair/replacement.

Dang! Sorry to hear that. I've had mine for awhile, and so far no problems. Thinking about taking it out maybe tomorrow morning for a few shots.
Waiting for mine to arrive.
I bet you'll like it.
Can't hear a word your saying with the wind in the microphone..
Um,um ,um,um,um

I'll try to do better in the future.
Can you pick a windy day and maybe use a baffle for the mic. LMFAO
Glad I made your day. I'll try to do better next time.
