And just now I've seen the last page with the keys on the trees... Think that just could be my top favourite!! I can't explain why but there's just a really lovely special feel to it
I got the 15 set of neocolor ii last year for my bday. I really wasn't sure what to do with them until I stumbled across one of your videos. Now I am in love with them and today for Mother's Day my husband took me to blicks and I bought 30 more colors!! I am swatching them while watching your sketchbook tour. Thank you!!!
I think my favourites were the tree with the well, the Vincent Van Gogh one, the bird, the secretary bird (?)... The purple frog reminded me of Toad in Wind in the Willows, and the other tall frog shortly after the secretary bird and chicken was also full of character. The painting of the flowers at 14:17 was lush.
Your duck with the big eyes needs those eyes turned into glasses!! 🦆 It would be cute! 😅 You are doing square farm animals. Maybe pick another shape to do jungle or wildlife animals? Triangle monkeys, frogs, giraffes, etc? Or diamond flowers? It would be a fun theme! 🦒🌸 I love the square farm critters!! 🤗😍

I think it was supposed to be a chicken, but it kept getting in my boat and staying there so it definitely thought it was a duck. It was company on exploration trips, and I’d find a stack of eggs in my inventory when I got home 🤣

I’m so glad I was nosy 😂 love the way you use the Neo colours - the crab does look perfect I totally agree 🎉 I remember Debbie’s cube head - I didn’t do a drawing of it but it does indeed go with the crab! I think the cube head is a tissue holder as I really wanted to buy it when I saw it 😂❤

I love my neocolors. I learned a red generals sharpener works great for sharpening them if you want a point again. It is amazing how little they get used. Thanks for sharing.
The Van Gogh portraits actually look really great! Good job! You’ve inspired me to do quick warmups with watercolor pencils and then go back on them after, so thank you for that!

I bought a spray workable fixative to try, but I’ve been too chicken to try it. 😅 I don’t want it to make my sketchbook smell and you have to go outside to use it. I do recommend putting something in between the pages you don’t want messed up. I use pieces of parchment paper or wax paper for baking. It’s pretty cheap and thin, so the pieces won’t bulk up your sketchbook too much. 😊👍

I’m not sure what you mean. Maybe try quick brush strokes and don’t blend the strokes. Once you make a mark, leave it alone. I hope that helps! ❤️😊👍

Do you use a sealer with these water based crayons/pastels? I am just starting with these. Love your intuitive drawing pages.
