My Dad was left handed. His Mod11 had suicide safty which worked great for him. I grew up with it and still love them. Walked around pulling on safety. Birds come up, just thump the safety off. By far my favorite. Everyone to his own i guess

Did any of the shells hit him in the face? My uncle was left handed and he had a Remington Model 10 pump that ejected the empties out of the bottom like an Ithaca Model 37.

I have a 1919 model 11. It's engraved identical to this one. And missing half the gun. My grandfather gave it to me with some other old gun parts a couple years ago. The other day while in my shop I came across it, and decided to actually give it a serious look. I'm not a gunsmith, I'm positive my restoration won't turn out as beautiful as yours. But I'm going to give it a go anyway, I'm starting with a non-functional gun, no stock. No foregrip. Not even a barrel. Some of the internals are even broken, or missing. Still I'm confident I'll take my sons in the spring, to shoot it with their great-grandfather.

The action spring pin on mine is stuck in place and I cannot get it out whatsoever, I've tried as much as possible without damaging the gun. Thinking about drilling out the pin and replacing it. Good video as always!

The R11 came about as Browning didn't sell the Auto 5 stateside in the beginning due to Belgian manufacturing.

What did you use to finish the receiver shown at the end? What grits of paper, etc. I’m redoing my old 1947 model 11 as we speak. Appreciate any info. Thanks!

I have a model 11 last time in the field while trying to unload to go home I was able to remove shells from the magazine but could not remove the chambered shell with out firing the shell. Prior to unloading the gun is able to fire and eject. Do you have any idea what might be the problem?

I recently bought a Model 11 off gun broker and its over all seems to be in good condition. What would it typically cost to send it off to be inspected and cleaned up a little? Not really wanting to refinish it but more or less cleaned and any badly worn parts/springs replaced.

We have a Model 11 in 20ga in very nice shape. All the springs have been replaced and functions flawlessly to function test but will not lock to the rear on the last round only when firing live Ammo. Any ideas what the issue could be?

The safety design was browning's original design. The earliest A5's had it, too. Remington used it into the 1920's

My Model 11 has retaining screws for the carrier, the dates are fuzzy on all the forms I've read, but the serial number is 283xxx so between 1921 and 1924. Also it has on the barrel remington umc, which to my surprise was change to remington arms co. In 1920. Numbers matching barrel by the way. The model 11s are just strange.

Can you please show how to remove locking block from the bolt carrier for A5 FN Superlight version? There is no hole on the receiver to punch through the pin. Thank you!

I have a Remington Model 11, the carrier spring pin towards the rear of the gun has broken, what would be the method that you would use to replace that pin?

art have you ever seen a remington model 11 with a magazine cut off lever installed like the auto 5 I have one it is in 20 guage I have several others and none of them have the cut off lever on them but my 12 light auto 5 and my sweet 16 do I bought the gun because of the lever as far as I know they did not come from remington with them and this is not a wartime browning made by remington this is actually a model 11
