they meant the family didn't have any title... like Baron, Earl, Countess, etc. Well his ancestors did since Newby Hall was inherited by one of the daughter of Earl de Grey "Lord Grantham", so the current owner is the descendants of this daughter Lady ____ de Grey. i think Lady de Grey continue having female after female and they all married into non title family
The old place is still looking good, hope to visit one day, as far as our research goes ,we havnt found if the Newby family has title or not, we do know someone from the Newby family married into the Bowles family around 1780, im actually Newby-Bowles but my mother dropped the Bowles when i was born, im told im Bowles not Newby , ill take either.
Looking at portraits and plaques and talking, talking, talking doesn't do any justice to the place Very disappointed. You should know that one picture speaks 1000 words.More seeing the place, less lecturing,
Buildings like this will not be around forever, so we have to make sure to keep classical styles alive all over the world.
A breathtaking house in my view.
Can we talk about that murphy door on the staircase
“Not a titled family”.

It's an enjoyable video if you mute it.
A lottery winner 🤣🤣🤣
i don't think it's right😂 £20,000 back in 1711... couldn't afford this type of house... you need at least £5000 a year and cash of £30,000
