Looks pretty nice I like the front. Like those seats they look comfortable. 170KM/H is perfectly fine for the average person . The interior is pretty nice for such a vehicle at the price .
That moment at 3:05 where the dashboard screen shows the booting spinning circle drives me mad. If you're going to make us use digital gauges, you CANNOT have them have boot lag. Also, yes, I spotted the 1/2 Renault logo. ;)
It cost them so much to do a half-facelift on the Captur to adopt the entire Symbioz design... Let's agree that at least it doesn't look like a Peugeot anymore.
I just test drove one today. Some good points and less good. Positive is that it looks great and is also lovely inside. Decent views in mirrors and rear. Light steering. The infotainment display looks very good, is linked to Google and the car has it's own SIM card so Google services are always on. However I won't be getting one because: - the back seats will not comfortably fit 3 average sized people, it is a very tight squeeze. Two adults and young child is ok. - I did not find the pick up to be that great, there is some delay and felt it struggled a little uphill. - the suspension is not so good, you do feel the bumps and potholes in the road a lot. This was unexpected as it is brand new, but this was disappointing.
Compared to captur, symbioz is marginally more expensive...but I think it's problem is zhe hybrid power train. Symbioz is seemingly not available with normal gasoline engine. Captur 140 tce in HT is around 24k eur, and 32k with hybrid engine 145ps. If symbioz were available with such engine for ca 25k, such a car would make sense. 7-8k eur difference for the hybrid does not make economical sense, in the best case one makes breal even after 200.000km. It all depends on the market and tax brackets. In NL the marignal eco bpm co2 tax is so high for pure gasolinethst hybrid would make sense. In thr marlets like HR hybrid version does not make much sense, especially when compared to tce lpg engine, which lowers running (energy) costs for 30-60% compared to standard gasoline.
I would probably pick the 1,33 petrol engine with 160 hp and EDC for this one. It's way quicker, refined and also cheaper. I would go for the hybrid only for fuel efficiency or if I used my car mainly for short commutes because of the indirect injection.
To me the Symbioz seems like they realised the Austral went too upmarket, so they needed a cheaper car of similiar size based on the Captur to keep competing with Qashqai etc. Edit: Also the Arkana already served a similiar function to this as it had more space than the Captur on the Captur platform, but I guess it hasn't seen wide scale adoption and won't see a facelift?

A beautiful color. Competent modern design. Sadly we don't get these in the USA. A nice, what should be, a cheap car. However 35k Euros to 39k Euros is a bit high. I can see why this product is not sent here; it would be uncompetitive at the price they want. The Chinese are going to crush Renault; I don't see how they are going to survive. The auto biz is going to get very ugly; with worldwide manufacturing capacity at double the current market, someone has to leave this game of musical chairs.

It is interesting to see a French take on what such a car should be like, so spongy and comfortable. They had the megane hatch and estate and they killed them for this... Another boring suv. And the 2019 interior from the captur is showing its age. Thanks for the review though
Because this is in fact a Renault Capture with bigger trunk. Even the wheelbase is the same. Just wondering if Mitsubishi will again do the rebadging with e.g. a Pajero badge on it...

you are always speaking about animal leather, and we have the same view, yet tell me how many kilos of plastic in that car? part of it will finnish in ocean ...
Thank you very much for your interest in this topic. I also bought cars with animal skin leather seats before I did my research and got to know the industry. The most important thing is: With today's modern materials, you have nothing to lose, just to gain. You achieve the same kind of luxury and comfort or even better while having the same or better durability with less impact on humans, animals and the environment. You can use fabric/cloth, microfibre or leatherette. The classic approach is using oil/plastic as source material. Overall, a vehicle contains about 300 kg plastic. A car seat needs about 5 kg plastic. So the overall plastic share for the seats is very low and it is at this moment the most efficient way to produce a car seat. A couple of litres of fuel equals a car seat basically. So if you want to save oil/plastic, rather look at consumption for energy, fuel and heating and to other car parts than the seat. Note that animal skin leather also always contains a plastic coating for durability. However, long-term we should of course find raw oil alternatives. So going further, seats can be made from recyclables (e.g. from PET-bottles or old fishing nets) or even increased share of plant-based materials (like pine oil, canola oil or start-up materials like Pinatex from pineapple leaves or Desertex from cactus fibre or the mixed-plant-based Mirum, so be seen at ua-cam.com/video/S1aNZeoatmE/v-deo.html). On a calculation base, by ditching animal skin leather from car interiors, the amount of emissions (CO2e) is reduced by 85 (!) % (www.press.bmwgroup.com/africa-dom-easteurope/article/detail/T0403389EN/on-the-market-from-2023:-bmw-and-mini-models-with-vegan-interiors?language=en) - and that is a very conservative calculation. So it is at this moment the most important thing you can do to make car interiors more sustainable. A good example for high-end luxury with ventilated animal free seats is the BMW X7 with Sensafin: ua-cam.com/video/1pRNkW9nrrw/v-deo.html And the Kia EV9 with plant-based oil share: ua-cam.com/video/6vXePQi_MAk/v-deo.html New leatherette materials can be superior in every aspect, even for cleaning: ua-cam.com/video/u94YXJ72UTA/v-deo.html More and more natural materials are rising: ua-cam.com/video/nRSsXEnwHDo/v-deo.html Also check out what the animal skin leather industry tried to with our channel: ua-cam.com/video/nP_CvLlaFlI/v-deo.html For seeing how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ua-cam.com/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/v-deo.html Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally. Also a group of researchers and German journalists from public media could recent directly trace the connection between car animal leather production and illegal burning down Amazon rain forest: www.daserste.de/information/reportage-dokumentation/ard-story/videos/illegales-leder-video-100.html In a high animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat is the "first" misuse case, the hide remains a profitable body part. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you demand it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and harms the environment, you make them more profitable. Alternatively, you could support industries with your wallet which try to improve the sustainability of materials. Also, if you turn the argument around to "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize that it doesn't make sense (and is ethically doubtful) to discuss the primary use of individual body parts of mammals. Mind experiment: You are getting slain down on the street; would it matter to you if it was for your smartphone or for your purse? Remember that animal skin leather is no different to fur, fur is just leather where the hair is still on. And fur is widely not accepted for clothing anymore, and of course not for cars. We cannot change what we have bought in the past, but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future. For a great insight into sustainability in the automotive industry, you can also check out our extensive documentary: ua-cam.com/video/-8gNXlRGngA/v-deo.html
@@paranoia0like0hell You don't need to be an expert to understand that an electric car is better than a petrol car, just a perfectly normal gifted person.🙄🙄🙄

@@draspek6254 Tesla a real car you must be joking ! Tesla has crappy quality inside /out a big slab tablet for a dashboard no sound ,no feel ,no character. Just because it accelerates quick does not make it a car . More like a big computer with a battery on wheels . Definitely NOT a car . Tech nerds love it though .
Great...a lot of cash for R&D of a model which will compete against other similarly sized Renaults. The front part looks like it was copied off a 2nd gen Citroen C4. Long gone are the days of the bold design of Le Quement...
It blows my mind why Renault would do this car? Like, seriously, why? They have the Austral and Conquest already, which are the same size, about, and they all cost about THE SAME, plus minus 1000€. Even the Conquest has no point existing after Austral came out because the cost literally 1000 € plus/minus, but the Austral is a far better car inside and out, no comparison, so why would anyone even buy the Conquest? I don't see the point of this car, or the Renault Conquest, and now there's two cars that make no sense. They cost like Austral, but are obviously nowhere near as good or modern. So why do they exist? Who buys them? Austral is enough on its own. It's like Renault has several teams inside the company who all develop their own cars totally separately and never communicate with each other.
It's direct competitor with toyota corolla cross hybrid. Renault is having much better design, but i would rather Toyota hybrid system and their 10years/200000km warranty, than just a good looks.
Renault's lineup is getting very confusing. I'd prefer a single model name in each class and a choice of ICE or electric I don't really understand why the ICE cars get this dated interior whereas the eTech models get a better interior.
Harman kardon is just an average audio system. There is a lot of hype around it. Also, they've put that expensive roof while they ditched the arm console in the back and did those 💩 back plastic for the front seats. Renault is loosing the essentials
Nice family 'hatchback' review both; not an SUV Renault. I applaud their animal skin-free interior, but it has many design flaws, imo. Typical French design over function. I think the same engine and transmission that is in the Dacia jogger would be better value for families.
I like when Renault offers a car that the interior looks more conservative, everyone here instantly points out the "outdated" design while at the same time almost all Toyota & Honda interiors that look way more outdated than this Renault, no one would have a problem with it!!😂😂😂
Greetings for you Thomas, you are a true automan ua-cam.com/video/kA1NT4I0s34/v-deo.htmlsi=kEckXlwmsgK3FE6D 😎 and also at the beginning I thought that your reviews were too long, but after a while I have realised that your reviews are seriously detailed. Yes, and the same "nice" quality...😂😂😂
They had the megane hatch and estate and they killed them for this... Another boring suv. And the 2019 interior from the captur is showing its age. Thanks for the review though
Cheers!
Because this is in fact a Renault Capture with bigger trunk. Even the wheelbase is the same. Just wondering if Mitsubishi will again do the rebadging with e.g. a Pajero badge on it...
@@Piorunowskigood point, they might just do that if they have the budget. I've seen a few of the new "ASX" but no new Colt, I really can't tell if they're selling enough to survive or not
What is the material on the gearshift lever?
Leatherette
@@autogefuehl Thank you for answering. Nice to hear it has a fully vegan interior.
indeed all Renaults have it now! 🙌
you are always speaking about animal leather, and we have the same view, yet tell me how many kilos of plastic in that car? part of it will finnish in ocean ...
But probably 80% of the plastic is from china ,India ,Africa that ends up in the oceans
A good example for high-end luxury with ventilated animal free seats is the BMW X7 with Sensafin: ua-cam.com/video/1pRNkW9nrrw/v-deo.html
And the Kia EV9 with plant-based oil share: ua-cam.com/video/6vXePQi_MAk/v-deo.html
New leatherette materials can be superior in every aspect, even for cleaning: ua-cam.com/video/u94YXJ72UTA/v-deo.html
More and more natural materials are rising: ua-cam.com/video/nRSsXEnwHDo/v-deo.html
Also check out what the animal skin leather industry tried to with our channel: ua-cam.com/video/nP_CvLlaFlI/v-deo.html
For seeing how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ua-cam.com/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/v-deo.html
Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally.
Also a group of researchers and German journalists from public media could recent directly trace the connection between car animal leather production and illegal burning down Amazon rain forest:
www.daserste.de/information/reportage-dokumentation/ard-story/videos/illegales-leder-video-100.html
In a high animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter.

10-20 Car channels review Renault symbiosis
Just go for the Renault Scenic electric instead. Much better and quicker. It's a bit more expensive, but you save a ton on fuel and maintainance!
@@shreeshsaurya4203Are you an expert?
For that money you could buy a real car instead, Tesla model 3 el y...😁😁😁
@@paranoia0like0hell You don't need to be an expert to understand that an electric car is better than a petrol car, just a perfectly normal gifted person.🙄🙄🙄
@@draspek6254you do because electric cars are still causing the same amount of pollution to make as fossil fuel cars and do you know where the power is coming from is it natural power or is it nuclear ☢️ power the batteries cause extra pollution when being made also. these things need worked out properly before anyone can say electric is better along with faster charging also.
Another fecking suv… Ffs. Remember when Renault made innovative and interesting cars? It’s been a while….
Great...a lot of cash for R&D of a model which will compete against other similarly sized Renaults. The front part looks like it was copied off a 2nd gen Citroen C4. Long gone are the days of the bold design of Le Quement...
A tip, add SEK 100,000 and you get the cheapest Model 3, a real car instead of that junk. Much cheaper in the long run...Just a little tip.👍😁🇸🇪
No thank you a Tesla I'd rather take a Toyota Corolla from the 80's instead of that electric junk !
@@gregorygant4242 God, poor you, good luck.
Nice to know so Renault almost catch up wit toyota rav4 2.5 2016 awd hybrid.. 😉
Isn't it true for all french cars? It seems like, all french cars are the same suvs, same size and look these days
Great looking, seems extremely functional
It’s just a slightly upgraded version of Arkana
The otherwise great design is ruined by atrociously ugly tablet in the middle .
👌
Nice car! Odd name :P
I have lost count how many SUVs renauls has right now. They all look the same
It's direct competitor with toyota corolla cross hybrid. Renault is having much better design, but i would rather Toyota hybrid system and their 10years/200000km warranty, than just a good looks.
Yap. Also has some pretty strange choices in interior
Renault's lineup is getting very confusing. I'd prefer a single model name in each class and a choice of ICE or electric
I don't really understand why the ICE cars get this dated interior whereas the eTech models get a better interior.
So they can compensate such high price diference.
Do you know why a plastic bag flies around in the motorway? Because you are in France 😂
Definitely looking at fully electric bmw sedan next year for family
Harman kardon is just an average audio system. There is a lot of hype around it.
Also, they've put that expensive roof while they ditched the arm console in the back and did those 💩 back plastic for the front seats.
Renault is loosing the essentials
What a Hit and Miss case whereby they can't even design a proper dashboard tray large enough to contain latest large flagship phones! 🤦
Who the fu c k cares about a phone tray
Don't buy one and your problem solved
@@Mike_221you act like you designed the car. It's a valid criticism, you must be one of those ppl who accepts ow't no matter how poor.
Топ! Сумую по тим часам коли ви самостійни робили суміш спецій, а не брали готові
What a pointless car, emptying the interior parts bin from last decade and the size of that bezel on the screen, old, ugly tech!
Когда уже французы показывают в новом поколении renault grand coupe
It looks like Dacia Premium 🤫 Too expensive, too plastic interior.
that interior design looks low rent
Ha ha, Renault is for two, one sits in and one puts on...😂😂😂
Too expensive. It's a Renault. Should start at max. 25k
If ever Ali Express would release a car, this would be it.
Nice family 'hatchback' review both; not an SUV Renault.
I applaud their animal skin-free interior, but it has many design flaws, imo. Typical French design over function.
I think the same engine and transmission that is in the Dacia jogger would be better value for families.
🙏👍
Nice car, wrong price
Renault is going backwards
Johnson Brian Harris Scott Anderson Laura
i do not see the point of this car at all
That key! What! Come onnnn. That’s a joke right? 😅
Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid much much better SUV
Karoq, ateca
Dab of oppo
Dashboard looks like from the nineties + infotainment.
It has flare, but I’m a BMW driver 😂
way too expensive
Shit happens
Когда французы уже покажут новое поколение renault grand купе
Французская машина это на полгода или максимум 50.000 км
The cockpit looks outdated and boring...
I like when Renault offers a car that the interior looks more conservative, everyone here instantly points out the "outdated" design while at the same time almost all Toyota & Honda interiors that look way more outdated than this Renault, no one would have a problem with it!!😂😂😂
Please buy some clothes for this little girl :) :) :) :)
Renault? Nein, danke.
