This method isn't working for me. The copilot is unable to access the Sharepoint data and chat about it as it has for Steve. Has something been changed by Microsoft since this video was released? Is this method working for other people and it's just me facing this issue?
Does anyone have an idea as to when the connecting sharepoint functionality / authentication will work as intended instead of having to follow this manual process?
Thanks for this Steve. The 3MB limitation is quite significant. Do you know if it is on the roadmap for this product line to be able to overcome that? I know this video was recorded a while back. Is this still a limitation ?
Can Copilot read text that has been converted to a PDF as an image? If I am correct in my understanding, please clarify whether Copilot can process such text.
DUDE! Thank you for help! Scrathced my head for days guessing why does it show error about authentification... Turned out auto Authenticate just doesn't work
Can I add a copilot to my sharepoint communication site so that it can be linked to one of my teams in the MS Teams app So when someone asks a question, it can take data from the sharepoint page rather than a document in sharepoint?
Yes, SharePoint page content is supported. You just need to include the URL to the SharePoint site in the knowledge locations when configuring the Copilot. Once done you can access in Teams, you'll see a link when you publish.
Great walkthrough. Copilot Studio doesn't allow for seamless integration with .aspx file format as seen in Sharepoint. Do you have any workaround for this for wanting to include +1000 Sharepoint documents in the Copilot's knowledge base that are .aspx format?
I can see that I kept writing the .aspx file extension in the URL, which is not supported. We also run on classic pages and have a ton of documents there, but might need to look into modern then
You need a Copilot Studio license. Cost is approximately $200 USD per month which allows for 25000 questions. You don’t need any per use licenses except & M365 license.
@@SteveKnutsonNZ does the developer/designer who needs to create and manage the created copilots require a Copilot Studio user license? That's the way I read it on the Microsoft site....
Is the copilot supposed to be able to read the files in the Sharepoint where it's been added? From how it was linking a "Leave policy.docx" file when replying to your questions, I assumed it would. I managed to configure mine, it's already answering my questions, but it's telling me it cannot read folders or files.
It didn't take long for it to appear for me, but I have be working with someone who can't get it to show up either. We have a support ticket open to trying and resolve the issue.
@@SteveKnutsonNZ Sorry to bother you again, not sure I understand what you're referring to. For.. what to appear? Do you mean the chat window in Sharepoint? I already got mine running and authentication is working too. It's just, it says it cannot interact with folders / files, while I assumed it would. Is it not supposed to? am I perhaps missing something? Thank you for your help.
Does the copilot studio respect permissions within the sharepoint site when it recieves a question? For example document libary folders which are restricted to a list of users?
Permissions are delegated from the user making the request, and are restricted to the content they have permission to see. I still recommend using this particular solution with specific sites where you have control over the content.
Thanks Steve, you are a lifesaver!

I am not aware of any changes to this limitation in the roadmap currently.

I have this up and running. However, once you add more files it degrades. and returns inaccurate results
Thank you for sharing Steve. I have a question, how to get rid of the To continue, please login step? Thanks.

Thanks Steve, I am not sure why my copilot studio theme and options are different, even the new button navigate to a different page :(

Took me a while too! I’m glad I wasn’t alone in that one!
Thanks this helped alot !
How do we fix SSO , entering the code is annoying...
Glad it helped!
Same question, how do we setup SSO? I can't deploy this with a code, it won't get adopted.

Copilot Studio does support Modern SharePoint pages. Are you using classic pages?

Do I need any form of subscription within the Microsoft Azure service? It seems so.
You will need a Copilot Studio subscription, but you can get a 30 day trial to test things out.
Can this work for Microsoft Loop also?
Unfortunately Loop isn’t supported at this stage.
thanks for the video
