Thanks so much for this. If an agent is given access to a SharePoint folder full of excel files with raw sales data (for example), are we able to program the agent to provide the user insights on that data (like copilot already does within excel)?
Yes, they would indeed require a Microsoft 365 Copilot License to either create or then use these Copilot Agents, as they are built on Microsoft 365 Copilot 😀
I have a question... If you have created an agent and want to share it later or change it's permissions, how do you get back into it to edit? I have created an agent and it's working better than I expected. I now want to share it with my team members and can't get the share option back up. Thanks
Beautiful explanation! I was so happy yesterday when I found out that it was finally available in my region. However, no matter what I do, I always get the RAI error which makes it impossible to create or even test the agent.
Glad this helped and just be aware that when I created the Copilot using the 'Describe' button recently, it would not allow me to Create the Agent. It turned out that a few parameters exceeded the character limit, and when I opened the Configure Tab, I could change these and allow it to be created 😀
I can't see "create agent" on the right hand menu. I have copilot studio, and built all agent that way (using the same credentials), but when i publish it i can't see it anywhere. Frustrating! Any ideas? Thank you in advance!
Sadly, they do require the Microsoft 365 Copilot License to use the agent, as the agent is a unique Microsoft 365 Copilot, so would require the license.
Hey Scott and thank your an excellent walkthrough. At 8:06 in the video you mention that users will get access to Sharepoint site content through use of the agent even though they don't have access to the content in the first place. Is this for real? It seems like a major security breach to me and for certain a deal breaker in organizations where information is secured through access restrictions on Sharepoint. Glad to hear your thoughts on this.
So, it's a complicated topic - but I can try and outline my own thoughts and share some links to find out more. If the Copilot Agent is shared with 'Anyone' it will not grant access to the SharePoint / Teams Files that you have added in the knowledge of the Agent. However, if you share with a Security Group or Person, then it will add those Groups or People to the SharePoint / Teams Files, which cannot be easily un-done, as it applies those permission changes in SharePoint directly - using SharePoint Permissions not sharing links and that is a concern, if you didn't know that before you set it. So, in summary, it needs careful considerations on how the Copilot Agent Sharing options, but I will always recommend reading the below articles to be happy with the security of your Agent and what each option does, because things do change all the time... learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-copilot/extensibility/copilot-studio-agent-builder-publish
When i follow all of your steps and finally copy the link into my edge browser, and press open i go back into teams bischat, nothing appears on the right hand side... have i then done something wrong? Anyone else have this issue?
There was an issue this morning where Copilot Agents were not showing on the right hand rail - I think for some they have returned, so hopefully just a blip in the matrix 😃
I am planning to build a copilot agent for a project. here is my question: if I select a folder as knowledge source, does the copilot also include subfolder into his knowledge?
My understanding is that it would include content in any folders selected, as there is only this reference in the Microsoft Documentation "After you select a site, you can select several files and folders. Doing so adds the SharePoint file or folder to the agent's knowledge sources. " but there is more included here - learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-copilot/extensibility/copilot-studio-agent-builder-build#sharepoint-content
Mainly, you would need a Microsoft 365 Copilot License, otherwise it could be a regional issue but I believe this is available to all users and as yet, there's no real IT governance controls around this either.
Many organisations worldwide are using CoPilot and have banned ChatGPT for workers. Not as a commentary on which is better, more as their enterprise security monitoring and controls, document permissions, sharing etc are all Microsoft. I use ChatGPT at home and CoPilot at work, it's good to know both.
Excellent video, thank you. I made my first agent off the back of this and it will be powerful functionality.
Excellent and great job building your first agent too! 😄👍
Thanks!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that 😀
Very good video, when do you think the Actions will come boss?

Thank you 🎉
Very welcome 😀
Am I right in assuming that both creators of Copilots and all users that they are shared with will require a full Copilot for Microsoft 365 license?
Yes, they would indeed require a Microsoft 365 Copilot License to either create or then use these Copilot Agents, as they are built on Microsoft 365 Copilot 😀
Great video, Thanks!
Glad you liked it! 🙌😄
This was a great video. Is it also possible to create an Agent that can read/utilise all of the Teams messages/transcripts a user has access to?
Can I upload PDF files directly into my copilot studio agent ?

Hello! Please tell me if it is possible to use Microsoft Copilot API for python?
Beautiful explanation! I was so happy yesterday when I found out that it was finally available in my region. However, no matter what I do, I always get the RAI error which makes it impossible to create or even test the agent.

Can the copilot agent be added to a group chat?
Of course not lol that would be to awesome!!
there is no copilot icon on the left. maybe company doesn't use it?
I tried this, added to teams and the bot shows up but when I ask the bot anything - it doesn’t respond. It does respond in preview outside of teams.
I can't see "create agent" on the right hand menu. I have copilot studio, and built all agent that way (using the same credentials), but when i publish it i can't see it anywhere. Frustrating! Any ideas? Thank you in advance!
Does all the Team members need to have a Copilot lisence to use the agent?
Sadly, they do require the Microsoft 365 Copilot License to use the agent, as the agent is a unique Microsoft 365 Copilot, so would require the license.

So, this is basically like google's notebooklm?

Is there a reason why create agents wouldn't be visible in Copilot for teams?
Mainly, you would need a Microsoft 365 Copilot License, otherwise it could be a regional issue but I believe this is available to all users and as yet, there's no real IT governance controls around this either.
@@your365coach I have a Copilot license as well as tenant and user licenses for copilot studio fwiw. It disappeared for me a few days ago. :(
It's pretty cool, but this is exactly how to configure ChatGPT custom GPT.
