Who is Brusdar Graterol? | Stat Stories

- The 2020 MLB offseason has been filled with lots of drama. Most recently, the Mookie Betts trade to the Los Angeles Dodgers got held up for several days as the Boston Red Sox were concerned about the future of a prospect they were receiving: Brusdar Graterol.
Signed as an amateur free agent by the Minnesota Twins, Brusdar Graterol is a hard-throwing pitching prospect with the potential to be a frontline starting pitcher. In this video, we'll look at what makes Graterol such an intriguing prospect, as well as the concerns that caused the Red Sox to balk at his trade.
Now with the Dodgers, Graterol will be given plenty of time to develop into a star pitcher. Whether he ends up pitching in the rotation or out of the bullpen remains to be seen.

So when I was making this, Graterol was listed at 225 lbs but today I see him listed at 265. Did he gain more weight this offseason or did I just misread the number in the first place? If anyone knows I'd appreciate it!
Graterol has always been a big guy. Alot of strength and muscle. Rather than fat. Dude is a tank, and pumps 100 like it's nothing. I'm not happy with the twins.
I’m not sure, he was listed at 180 on his 2019 baseball cards. I would find it hard to believe he is 265 given he is only 6’1”, he doesn’t look like it. Weight can always be a very liquid metric in the world of sports though, so it is tough to say. Absolutely no way he’s 180 though
I saw he was listed at 180 for awhile and then I read he gained muscle after his injury. But i agree 265 for that height seems absurd
@@outtaherebaseball3205 in the MLB app he is listed at 265 lbs
@@bradenolson7640 he was signed as a 16 year old, and that was the weight he was listed when he signed. He had TJ surgery and put on a ton of weight in his year of absence. He hasn't been 180 since he signed at 16 though
I have the feeling Dodgers are gonna develop him to become an amazing closer. They’ll probably make him the successor to Jansen since Kenley only has one year left before free agency.
Congrats on the mlb shoutout
Mookie Betts and Brusdar Graterol. Next trade will feature CoolGuy SickName and Strikin-Yu Hout. Seriously, Baseball has the coolest names.
Hello, as a Dodger fan I appreciate this. Knowing how they operate, they will take their time with him. It sounds to me that he will likely be used as a reliever. The Dodgers always seem to pull a rabbit out of a hat every season. If nothing else, they are good at seeing potential. Thanks. See ya.
Norman Rowe as a twins fan you will love him there is a reason he was ranked as a top 50 prospect in baseball last year
As another Twins fan, I agree: he’s gonna be great for you guys! Looking forward to Maeda putting in some innings for us 😊
so he's on the Julio Urias track?
@@aarontelander Maeda is solid, Twins will be a better team with him in the rotation.. Graterol is a beast.. The movement we're seeing on his fast ball and his slider is insane.. I can certainly understand why there's some questions concerning the health of his arm but if he can clear those concerns and stay relatively healthy dudes going to be golden for the Boys in Blue..
@@aarontelander The stuff he was throwing the other night against Houston was absolutely filthy.. Hopefully he can stay healthy.
Watching your channel for some months now... Very good quality and underrated channel... Keep up the good work
Thank you these are the comments that keep me going!
High effort delivery makes sense with his injuries, but damn seeing this dude pitch this 2020 season with the dodgers, him hitting a 100mph seemed effortless every time
I simmed on mlb the show 19 and in 8 years when he’s 30 he became an 99 overall and was a beast
I didn't know how to pronounce his name when he first starting playing for the Twins...... I would jokingly call him Bruised Gatorade. If he becomes a superstar it'll be a missed opportunity by Gatorade if they don't endorse him.
He sounds like a fake drug name in a video game
Like Deludamol in GTA V
He got a chance to be a starter
I don't know when they're going to start!!!
🤔⚾
The future bright for he
Go Dodgers!!!
💙
I was upset when the Twins dealt him. Best of luck to him and hopefully Kenta brings us a ring.
Kenta almost threw a no-hitter
Kyber Jihan and he still didn’t get the win
@@aaronsadlo7990 yeah but he has a 2.43 era which is very good
Kyber Jihan oh believe me I’m not complaining I love Kenta and the trade now I just felt bad for him that the bullpen blew his lead
@@aaronsadlo7990 oh ok
Holy shit you grew this much in 8 months! Im so proud of ya dude. Keep up the good work.
Something about the passion and hard work small UA-camrs put into they videos is just 👌
I always appreciate hearing things like this :)
I can see this channel becoming big. With a great following. Only suggestion I make is background music with just a little more bass.
I have never seen this channel but it looks like a great channel
Yup another high quality baseball channel to follow
this channel is a GEM
Woah you're channel's really growing right now, congrats man!
Thanks it's been really cool the past two weeks. Yours is on the way too!
Everybody hype about the mlb shoutout, but they ain’t do it because your small, they did it cuz your content is some of the best baseball vids on yt, congrats, because anything you get u earned it man
I appreciate that. The slow grind is paying off!
Bro, I love your videos. The research and pure passion you put into your work is something that shines through every single one. I really enjoy them!
Fantasy baseball addict since the late 90’s
High quality videos! Hope you get tons of subscribers and you can do this for a living.
I would love to do this for a living one day. They're fun to make and people enjoy them which is an awesome feeling
So my fav team gets a realiver thanks 😊
And Nice vid👍🤙
Great assessment Bobby! Thank you!
Fantastic video, really appreciate the work you put into this. I'm a big dodger fan and I actually think the Mookie trade got better for them by keeping Graterol and sending Downs and Wong to the Sox. This video made me really excited for Brusdar's Dodger debut. One suggestion, don't know if it's possible to do, but some clips of him throwing would have been great, particularly when you discussed the effort in his delivery. Thanks for putting out quality content!!
Thanks for this! I'm not able to put video clips in the program I use unfortunately
@@outtaherebaseball3205 Gotcha, great work regardless. Liked and subbed.
So funny story, I spotted your videos about two weeks ago and watched a few and I was like “Damn, these videos are great; how come he’s at only 500 subs?” Then you were shouted out by MLB lol. Another solid video here. Here’s to continued success :)
This sudden growth has been awesome! Hope this continues :)
Nice job...you get a 👍🏼but more important...a new sub. Keep up the great work.
I’m a huge Twins fan and appreciate your analysis. Keep up the good work! (And maybe make a video on how the Twins rebuilt from 2016 to HR leaders 😁)
You’ve earned a sub. I enjoyed your detailed stats breakdown and the bullet points to keep the videos moving and tied together. Keep up the good work.
I'm from Taiwan, I watched all of your videos. I really love all of them!!
Just subbed from the mlb shoutout.
fantastic breakdown. earned my sub. way to support and enhance the rep of a player who got unfairly treated in the media's light during a mega deal involving MVPs and CY award winners. I am a Padres fan so I hope this lad isn't too great ;)
But best wishes to him and his future.
Thanks! That's pretty much why I wanted to make this video. He has some real talent and deserves to be more than "that guy who held up the mookie trade"
I'm a Twinkies fan, I was sad to see him go. He was the first Twin to throw over 100 mph in a long time. I hope Maeda was worth it. 🤔⚾
Bruh. Great content. Don’t worry. Your Chanel will grow. Do more team analysis like you did on the white Sox!! Keep it up bud
If I could buy stock in a UA-cam channel, this is it. You’re going places big man
Haha I appreciate that! Things have been blowing up so fast lately
I just found your channel and subbed. No doubt you’ll be at 1k by the end of the day.
That's my hope!
Congrats on 1K.....on to 2K. Nice work; great content.
Solid content
Congrats on 2k!
Your vids are well made and informative hope you stick with it and are rewarded
Ever since he threw 101 with a killer slider against the Astros on 7/28/20, Buster Gatorade has been going downhill. I expect him to go on the DL soon. For the Dodger fans and organization though, it was worth it. That was the 1st of 2 wonderful days in Houston. Making them look that bad was worth every bit of him probably injuring his arm.
Love your videos dude👍🏼🙌🏼
Looks like you'll make your 1k subscriber goal by opening day!
how does this guy not have more subs?
I had around 400 subs at the start of the month so I really didn't see this sudden growth coming. Hoping it keeps up!
Just subbed 👏🏼 hope to start up my own channel and blog as well. Good luck to you man
If the Dodgers face the Astros in the World Series, Graterol's inside fastball to the ribs could be very valuable.
Good vid man.
Great vid, keep going!
Well made
How is this content under 1k?
Hopefully for not much longer!
You’re at 6K now!
GF Piano Productions now over 7K. damn
So glad I stumbled upon your channel! Fantastic content and top notch quality, brother. #notyourlastsubscriber
one of the few revlievers (not closer) that you probably know the name of
Future closer???
Graterol is probably the best common player in mlb the show 20 he has 99 velocity and a great pitch selection.
Crazy how u said he won’t be a key role in 2020 but he’s probably the best piece in the dodger bullpen
He reminds me of Felix Hernandez but with a ton of velocity😳
Ptanium 1 I feel like that’s a pretty good comparison
Can u do a video on how the cardinals still haven’t done ANYTHING this offseason!
Boughton Big Moose they don’t until everybody is gone we get the leftovers
That would be a short video 😂
@@outtaherebaseball3205 lol
Maybe they'll get Yasiel Puig? I think he's the only big name left if I'm not mistaken.
Just subbed to you!
congrats 1k subs
Can you do a video statically analyzing bregman? that’d be a good video
I would’ve thought you had Atleast 100k subs
Here because of mlb shoutout
Can you make a 2020 season predictions plz
Probably better when spring training comes of after spring training
you’re so close to 4k bro
It'll happen today for sure!
Great video! Do you mind me asking what editing software you use?
I use a software called videoscribe! Not many people use it so I figured it would help me stand out
FLAT OUT... the Red Sox need to stop taking injured pitchers. Pomeranz was one of the worst acquisitions we've ever had.
I’ve been here when he was at 500 subs
Can you do a video on the Twins
Well you hit 1k by opening day
4:42 "appears to require a lot of effort"............................. watch this dude pitch
Nice Joe Buck quote 😂
Yo new sub here
2 months later you’re at 12k
Only the Red Sox viewed him as a starter, Dodgers view him as a future closer get your info right
How about a vid on how the 2020 nats were built
Did you mean the 2019 nats? Cause they haven't made any big moves for 2020
Outta Here Baseball yeah, accidentally put 2020
Haha gotcha I'll add it to the list. Sportstorm has an interesting video on that team if you havent seen it yet
Lame, no video of him in action
He's injury prone, Tommy John Surgery in a young age. He will probably be a reliever or a closer.... so he will probably just watch games in the sideline.
Let’s hit 5k
That's the next goal!
Gained 9k in a month👏👏
Brusdar Graterol? Sounds like a disease... or an anticeptic or something
1k by opening day? lol it's June 3rd and opening day hasn't even been set yet lol! Grats on the 15k!
