this will be the only time I won't wake up babe at 3AM to watch noriyaro
Let her have one more night of not knowing ;-;
cool
Same, the emergency
You sure? I've been balling my eyes out so much that my neighbors came to check on me!
Same :(
You gotta feel for the shop owner. He lost everything and he couldn’t save his friends vehicle in time as well.
I'm upset for this car but I feel even worse for the shop owner. He lost his business...
@@Chocolate_dragon Exactly what I am thinking :/ good thing everyone made it out ok.
At the very least, he was able to save 2 other cars.
Did you pay attention to the video though? Paint cans on the ground every where.
Even smalltime Murican workshops keep their paint thinners/ flammables in a fire cabinet
I feel really bad for everyone that's affected man it's just too heartbreakingg
"i gotta put on sunglasses so u cant see me cry"
Its ok man, just cry. I'll cry with you🥲
So will i and 340 more... 😭
Why are my eyes sweating
When does he say that?? Must’ve missed it
These be manly tears! No shame!
This is where real man cry
Super sad to see this 😢 if you need help rebuilding, please don't hesitate to reach out to us!
heros!
who you gonna call, fitment industries
Super Sad
Would the engine be savable?
@@discaused I suspect that in that kinda heat, everything in that car is boned on a chemical level, even if it looks fine.
don't even know what to say... super sad but hey Alexi I belive your dream will come true eventualy, good luck!
Really devistating, really loved this car and he clearly did too.
It's amazing to see how many people are part of car community.
Rip jzx
🥺🥺🥺
what is his dream?
@@y3yee he was talking about his dream JZX
I admire your attitude in this man. It's clear this car meant a lot to you and it must have been horrible to see it like this, even more so to go over it in detail.
Some people might consider cars as just objects, but seeing the history of the MK2 and how you've grown alongside it makes it something special.
Keep well dude, can't wait to see what comes next ❤
Henlo Jimmy!
well damn my favourite shed dweller/sim racer in my favourite car youtubers comments.
Couldn't agree more with your comment jimmer.
Its really sad.. and in this case the sum of its parts and the time and effort put into is value that is priceless. Nothing lasts forever.
I really miss his car i watching his video driving toyota chaser mark 2 drifting it and that was the absolute best video i watch now it's completely gone i hope recover his car 🙏🙏🙏
a car isnt just a box with 4 wheels. anyone who says that has no heart.
a car once started is a living breathing mechanical piece of engineering.
You should keep that rear emblem if it's still in one piece, I feel like that'd be a good memory piece for it( in a bag at least)
That would be a dope memory piece
@@TheBlueEaglee fr
or at least a panel. just a chunk of it at least
you can see it's missing later in the video so i assume he kept it :)
Would be great to feature a piece of it somewhere in the new build. Gotta get some sorta phoenix decal too
when alexi said "i should put my sunglasses on so you cant see me cry" i immediately reach my sunglasses.

That pat on the pillar had me all choked up. Heartbreaking stuff man, hopefully the insurance side of things works out for you at least.
If it don't I'll donate to a go fund me!
@@S10JuMpEr support his patreon. I doubt he’ll start a gofundme
Insurance might cover the cost of the base car, a stock MarkII. It's not gonna be much..
@@dedelabinouze5110 Proper insurance should cover everything especially the new parts as long as he has receipts.
That pillar bit was the part where all the guys (including me) teared up 😭
It's crazy how many memories you can create with an automobile and just how attached to these inanimate objects we get over the years. The only bright side is that you have the memories to look back on through photos and video. Life can be incredibly unfair and random at the best of times. I wouldn't know what to do in a situation like this, especially with a car you've had for so long.
I've been following the blog and the MK2 since the early days of the blog posts and loved seeing it or pop in Banzai or Dortien. Never give up on the dream of building that badass JZX100. I would love to see another example down the road. Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next. ❤️
We eventually have to part ways with all of our cars man. We can only create and hold on to good memories, which is good enough for me.
@@user-hr2zy7ct8h Amen bro, cuz tbh the bad memories can drag on us. The good is what makes it all ok. It was worth it
@@apIthletIcc Exactly, why should you focus on the negative when it's an insane privilege to have owned and drifted a car like this. I guess that's at least part of the reason our boy didn't have a mental breakdown, he seemed mature about this. I like it, I had to move on from cars that I spent half my life with and didn't cry about it either, mine didn't burn down but I didn't have any replacement, so having to sell my one car is comparable to having one of your several cars burn down I guess.
@@user-hr2zy7ct8h Dude ngl i cried a bit when i had to sell my s12. I was forced into it by the HOA in my neighborhood. They didnt like seeing my work on my car I guess. Had 1000 dollar fine for it, couldnt pay and they only way out was to sell it before a strict deadline. That almost really feels like it was stolen from me tbh... I feel for the guy though that def was a rough way to lose a car. and whether or not he knows it, it def became a part of alot of our life as well. Cant tell you how many times I scrolled yt and had my mind taken off the bs of life for a while watching this car. It's truly a loss for the motorsports community
@@apIthletIcc True, even as viewers we get attached to the car seeing it perform, change, crash and getting fixed and so on. But I didn't even shed tears for every single of my relatives who passed, so I literally tell myself to stfu if I get emotional about material goods which includes cars. I know cars mean more to us than material goods, but in that case we can use them differently than others and create memories that last. But it stays an emotional subject I want to buy a C32 AMG just because my first car was a similar C class and I learned to drift in it, even had a police chase in it and drove it across multiple countries. Other than that it has absolutely no appeal to me given the price point, but that's actually enough to make me consider buying one if I make a lot of money.
Seeing the car was sad.
Hearing about all the cool parts was even sadder.
But then hearing about how long you’ve owned it and how many events you’ve done in it was torture.
Hopefully insurance funds the next build!
Go fund me and help this man out maybe? its a dam shame thats for sure
@@thunder8951 I was thinking the same. I just can't afford Patreon ATM. But I hope someone starts a pledge of some sort and when I have bits of spare cash I can thrown it in.
I’m completely speechless, that was so heartbreaking to watch, the fact that you were so close to completing her just for the whole lot to be swept away in a matter of hours. Cars really are more than just four wheels and and engine, they’re a way of life for a lot of us. R.I.P MkII, you might be gone but the memories you have created will be cherish forever😢
ik that's just sad. if the fire never got the garage she would be beautiful ♥️
Just don't go all depressed Shinji on us! We'll keep supporting! Soon enough you'll have a Wonder clad X100 with awesome sparkly bits!
well to be fair, he just wanted to go all-in on patreon & youtube, now he's got to rebuild his "work machine" too..
I don't know how he kept himself from crying, if this was my car I would've been bawling my eyes out especially since it was almost finished
Same and the fact he had it for so many years with so much put into it, I would have been so emotionally broken
He waited weeks for a reason
3:03 his voice cracks so he probably held back on camera
I'd be just on my bed, making puddles out of my tears
@@PieZello ikr. I noticed he cracked his voice like two or three times in this video. He held back so hard trying not to cry while explaining his used-to-be-car :((( man, this breaks my heart
Bruh the touch on the a-pillar saying “thank you” and goodbye got me all choked up. Cars are so much more than just machines.
ngl i almost shed a tear at that point
This is 'the' comment 🤌
When Alexi said "Can't let it end like this." something heavy was lifted off my chest.
"do we build another jzx100, the answer is yes"
this phrase turn my sadness watching the vid into hype!
I know right. I hope he gets another JZX.
I really want to know if he is insured. If he isnt then it really falls on us to pay him back for the content he's brought us.
This has to be #1 on a Top 10 Saddest Anime Deaths playlist.
EDIT: That ending hit me like watching the Going Merry sink man. Hope the new car inherits this JZX's spirit like the Thousand Sunny did for Merry.
I felt the same vibe bro, you already know Alexi can her the jxz talking to him and thanking him
the exact same scene came to my mind, cant even imagine how much that car meant to him
Was just about to say, this feels like when you’ve just finished watching a good anime with a sad ending.
This car was the reason why I own a JZX... Was waiting someday for a nostalgic video of it drifting with Ishiai's 396 motoring Cresta on Yamanashi again... 😭
I can hear you holding back your tears whenever you are naming off the cool things gone
本当に残念・・・

Alexi, this is heartbreaking mate. I know it's "just a car", but when you invest so much time and effort into something like this, it must hurt. I'm not sure if the car was insured, or if the workshop will cover replacement, but even so, the process of sourcing a clean chassis and going through the build all over again is daunting.
Hard here with ya cars really do have sentimental value
@@liamjensen4673 yeah man, attached to my dad’s Rover P5
Sadly i know that feel... A year ago my E36 burned down during a trackday. I was lucky and got out the car without any problem, but my passanger didn't have that luck. He is recovering in this days. Im glad that everyone is okay. I learned that everything happens for a reason. It was very hard, but i did step up and now im building my dream 200sx. Best regards from Spain. Xavi
actually teared up a little watching that :( It's crazy what impact a car can have on your life. But life can be crazy unfair at times and nothing is guaranteed.
Keep doing what you do Alexi. The next big adventure awaits!
Why does this have to happen to one of the most wholesome guys on UA-cam...
Rip JZX, long live Noriyaro!
Philipp Kaess experienced the same thing :(
This is so sad. :( Sorry for you Alexi. I can't even imagine how this feels.
@12:41 when you grab the A pillar after the pat and thanking the JZX: I felt that. That wasn't just a car, that was a part of you, a dream in progress. This is crushing, I have been watching you for years and you made me fall in love with the JZX platform. Glad everyone is okay, I hope you get another build sorted soon. Sorry for your loss, but I hope it makes the next one even better.
do you know the music at the end? it made me cry in the little tribute
That's a shame, 12 years or so with a car to end like this must really hurt. I'm starting to build this little connection with my Starlet myself as well as my Leon Cupra, planning on keeping them for as long as I can, I had a Celica on top for 18 months which isn't that long but done 24k miles in that thing a few years ago, many pics, videos and trips across Europe in it, hurt when it blew up as well.
I just had to sell a racecar I built from stock with a friend, and that was emotional. I can't imagine the feel of losing a car completely like this. Glad nobody was hurt, and big respect for having probably the best possible attitude through all this.
That actually hurt to watch. Can’t imagine what it’s done to you. Such a shame to see it end the way it has. But onwards and upwards.
Also maybe a suggestion, and do what Ken block did with his V1 cosworth, and grind up some parts from the car and mix it in with the paint or do something to the replacement one with it?
Such a shame but really glad to see you and Tsugibiyashi-san didn’t get hurt. Looking forward to seeing the new jzx soon!
I'm so sorry for your loss Alexi, just heartbreaking.
Stay strong mate, wish u the best.
Damn, that car really was a testimonial piece of quality modifying and tuning culture. It hurts to see it all burnt up, i am sorry for your loss :(
Your Mark II was always my favorite car from all your cars. Having it owned so long, lived through up and downs and finally getting care after years of fun. Gutted to see it's end, but it might start something new. Keep your chin up
Bro I can't imagine how you are feeling right now. Losing a car like that with so much personal History is like losing a family member. Seeing a persons passion project go up in flames is gut wrenching. I hope everything goes well for you man.
Alexi, you are amazing for holding up. I would be devastated if I lost my car, and it's not even anything special. Best of luck to you, I'm sure you will do well and even better in the future.
I genuinely rewatched the video with Yuki at Trill on monday and wondered “how far along is the mk2? Surely it can’t be far from done.” Sorry to see that this happened alexi, at least nobody was hurt and we will rebuild. The whole video is rough to watch but that ending, man it could bring a tear to a glass eye.
This car lived a good life. It died happy. It has been loved and documented, now it's time to give that love to another car. Thank you Mark II and Noriyaro for the memories. Happy to see what the future holds. Let's keep the hope.
That's a very good point to make. It didn't get thrown out when the owner was sick of it, it had Alexi to give it an actual life to live
ngl it died in a fire
Only thing Im thinking about is how youre feeling. Im glad everyones safe, thats most important. But to lose something of extreme sentimental value hits really hard.
Wish you luck with everything else. Really hoping the Beer Can stays safe, for your sake.
this hurts so much to watch cant imagine how you feel. glad everyones ok, but damn man. sorry for your loss.
This really broke my heart. Can't even imagine how bad you feel right now. Stay strong.
Cant imagine how you kept yourself from being emotional while recording if I was tearing up watching this.
Without a doubt the MK2 meant a lot to you and the channel, it had a lotta history.
Wishing you the best Alexi!
9:06 is where the tears rolled for me, mate couldn't imagine losing mine this way, the mark 2 is an absolute dream car I'll carry for the rest of my life, this is the only channel I'll ever see myself relating so much and donating to.
Best of luck, very keen to see your story transpire after this.
Literally just lost my car in a fire 1 month ago so i understand your pain man. Hope all you guys are able to bounce back from this.
you literally lost your car?
wow im actually crying. ive been watching you drift this car around for 2 years, tuning it and installing new parts so seeing it like this is just hurts. i hope everything will get better for you alexi!
Well, now you can cut it into bits and sell each part as exclusive Noriyaro mechandise. Your JZX will be truly worldwide.
I would absolutely buy that.
Agree with this
That's a pretty cool idea.
Breaks my heart brother, it truly was more than just a car. Hopefully the next one can be just as great
I don't know how you can be so calm, i'm almost crying here man. This is sad af!
He said it’s been weeks so I’m sure he’s come to terms with it, but you can def hear the pain in his voice especially when he’s talking about all the brand new and expensive hard to find parts he had
Sadly I know this exact feeling, Alexi. My Mitubishi Starion caught fire in the garage one morning only a few weeks after having completed a ton of work. I barely got it out of the garage before it got any worse. It's an awful thing to see and an even worse smell. Let me say on behalf of all fans, we're glad nobody got hurt and we're excited to see the next build when you're ready.
Condolences man that is heartbreaking.. Couldn't imagine losing my STi like this.. You gonna come back with an insane new project tho
Heck no, This can't be real. So heartbreaking :( stay strong man! xox
Honestly I'm just glad everyone got out safely, it's sad to see the car scorched and gone but at least no lives were taken.
His car burned down but he still put his friend first, he's such a great person
thats just how everyone should be, theres only 1 life, cars are plenty to go around.
he's not a good person at all lol
Sorry to hear mate :-|
Man this is sad...the JZX that made me buy a JZX myself gone in the worst way...
I’m so sorry. She was so beautiful and I’m sure hold special place in ur heart
Idk how this man is even holding himself together I'd br crying and sitting there looking at all the hard work lost
Probably ran out of tears by the time of recording
This is so sad when you showed how the Chaser was almost complete looking beautiful it broke my heart to see it burnt
That last "thank you" hit my heart like a truck
god I'm so sorry for you, that must be so painful to go through. I'm so glad you're not giving up on your dream and I can't wait to see the build start again.
it was the pat on the A pillar and saying Thank You. i felt that. its all good. the bounce back will be better. much love and respect. R.I.P. MK2
That ending...I'm not crying, you're crying!
I'm so sorry for your loss Alexi.
I really hope you manage to get people back on board and you can make your next one better.
I remember this well from the Banzai (RIP) column days and always wondered about the boot wing mounts as I only saw it "sans spoileur"
The fact that the mk2 was almost done genuinely makes me sad for you. I loved all the mk2 videos and now i guess ill be rewatching the old ones instead of being excited for new ones :(
also please keep the toyota badge as a memory piece!
So sorry to see this happen, glad no one was hurt. Pop the badge off the back and keep it as a solemn reminder.
Absolutely devastating, your mark II was one of my favorite cars of all time, I’ve spent so many hours watching you drift so it will always have a special place in my heart, so sad to see it gone :(
Just subscribed to the patreon. This is a hard loss on all of us, especially since you were almost done with everything you wanted to do for the car. I admire your attitude and am really hopeful for the next project that will come. It won’t be the same as this jzx but it will still be awesome. Love ya man❤️
didn't know you had the car for so long! Such a heartbreaker, glad no one got hurt at least but man...hope you and Tsugibayashi-san recover from this loss
Ah geez sorry for the loss. Life just hits hard sometimes. The house attached to my house caught fire recently and we are still cleaning up just from the smoke, soot and water damage.
Man, that’s hearthbreaking to watch! There is pain in your voice which is absolutely understandable, but Keep the head up, Alexi!
For years we didn't have any news of the mark 2, we just knew it existed somewhere. Then you brought it back and slowly gave it some love. It was finally about to be the great resurrection but nature decided otherwise. When I saw the post on Instagram I felt genuine sadness. Knowing the history of this car and it's importance on this channel. Hope you'll bounce back from this, glad nobody was injured in that terrible fire.
I've been a fan since 2008 (the Spirant JZX100 was my PS3 background for years), and I remember when you got the car, Alexi. This video was a profound nostalgia trip for me, I can only imagine how brutal it must have felt on your end. The loss is a shame, but I'm glad I was able to witness the good times in that car which you shared with the world. Thank you for keeping it real!
Almost a decade ago a friend of mine had a really nice, low KM R32 GTS-4. It had a bunch of rare parts on it, and he just spent somewhere in the area of $6000 getting it refreshed.
One day when he was in the basement someone was pounding on his front door. It was a police officer telling him to get out of the house because the garage was on fire. After the fire was put out, his car was totaled.
The only thing salvageable from it was his turbo sock. Apparently someone in his area was going around setting fires and had already burned down someone's house and a small business. It's always a shame to see something like this happen. I'm glad no one was hurt, and it's nice to see that you have a positive attitude about building something else.
I hope the next one gives you a lot of memories that you'll be able to look back on.
I haven't been this sad since my 94 Civic w/b16b swap got run over by an f-150 😭
I think many of us understand that loss. Here's to hoping this tragedy doesn't weigh on you long,
the next build is free from heartache and headaches.
I wish you all the best in the future. You seem like a great person and deserve to have an awesome ride, not these crazy setbacks. Thanks for the awesome content, we'll keep watching em if you keep making em
This is painful. Especially knowing how close it was to a full restoration.
Took me two attempts to watch the whole thing. I'm going to sit in my garage beside my motorcycles for a bit.
I'm so sorry this happened, I hope you'll be able to make lots of new memories with the future JZX, stay strong :)
Sorry for a lost man we can see the pain through your eyes and your voice.
To say that this is devastating is an understatement. You've put in a lot of love on that car and it's unfortunate it had to end this way.
Your JZX100 will be sorely missed by us, your fans.
Im so sorry Noriyaro. This is the end of the JZ but the beginning of a new start. I feel sad as if it were MY car. Im looking forward to what the future will bring. Im glad everyone was safe.
This genuinely breaks my heart! I hope you’re doing okay financially after this and I hope it doesn’t put a damper on your drifting cause you truly are the best UA-camr
I am so sorry, brother. Much love and condolences from New Jersey, USA
The moment... just the moment you say ''Thank You'' and give it that last farewell pat, that was a moment of shivers. To the gates of Valhalla Shiny and Chrome.
Man, I can't even imagine what you're going through right now but I admire your strength in this situation. I would highly advise you get another one before the US ruins the prices (again). I'm ready to follow whatever you do next Alexi! Thank you so much for all the content over the years!

I’m absolutely devastated to even watch this, you’ve got the heart to just breathe and move on. Good luck, keep your head up man!
I was looking forward for the mark 2 restoration
this is devastating... stay positive
Man I've been dealing with so much loss recently and to see this car in this shape is a tough blow to take.
At least nobody was injured, that's the most important part.
Years ago a friend of mine had a build RB swapped S14 that was going to one of the older summer shows like Hot Import Nights or something, I can't remember. He took it to a shop to get some final things done but the shop left his car out front overnight. We found it 3 days later in a field burned to the ground. Thieves stole the Bride seats and wheels but left the engine, R34 brakes and everything else to burn. It was sad.
no idea how he held it together, i wouldve cried, hell tears came to my eyes a little
Rest In Peace Mark II...
may we all see you once again at the Drift heaven someday. T_T
aw man the mkII was on such a solid redemption arc! :'(
I’m so sorry for
Your loss man 😢 I could not even imagine
Your mentality is everything! Truly an inspiration for alot of others. My deepest condolences for your loss and i hope your comeback is even better than before!
😯 Oh man! So sorry. It was starting to look so good. Glad everyone is okay though. Dang!
Literally Yesterday I was showing my buddy the shops instagram page and how cool it is that they were working on your Mk2 for D1. Little did I know, I feel so bad; glad no one got hurt.
This is to painful, you handled it way better that how I would have
Sorry to hear about the loss of the mark 2. Breaks my heart to see the car in that condition.
Keep your head up and be strong Alexi.
How bout building a JZX100 Chaser next?
this one hits the feels...All the memories with this amazing chassis. All the amazing content! So sorry for the loss brother
Ugh, that thank you at the end drove tears into my eyes. What about a gofundme or something? Although I haven't been following your adventures on UA-cam for that long, I'd still like to chip in a buck or two. Best of luck to you in the future, m8!
man i'm realy sorry for what happend at least no one got injured i will say check if you can save the engine if you can have a good one
