Best line in made in South Africa TLINE and their tapered leader rocks. They were the original inventor of this rock and surf leader.

Molokai Shorecasters bruh I Neva knew. I’d be interested in learning where they got the idea. I did some research on hooks and it’s crazy how hooks and fishing been around for Millenias

03:15 What's the terminology of weight of the sinker? 10 ounces, than the word 2 'molt'? Thanks.

Wonder how much that sinker cost if one is going to be putting weak line on it.

NO SHAKING WHEN USING LIVE BAIT, SO MY ROD IS PRETTY HARD, NO NEED TO SHAKE WITH LIVE FISH BAIT

THE BIGGER THE BAIT THE BIGGER THE SHARK, NOT SURE IF THIS TECHNIQUE IS WORTH IT FOR ME, SEEMS LIKE IT'S ONLY GOOD FOR ROCKY FISHING LIKE THE JETTY

Complicated. A sliding paternoster is way easier. With a 5 ounce sinker you can throw a bait a decent distance. I have no cliffs around either. Thanks for showing though, it's interesting. I bought sliders when they first came out years ago and only used them once. They aren't the one way kind either.

Thanks Red, you are quite right. Sliding is quite limited to sliding live baits these days. There are better ways to cast out a dingle dangle bait now days with such fantastic grinder reels available. Not many anglers are able to cast a multiplier either. I hope that facet doesn't dissapear.

@@TheKingfisherFishing I have a couple of ABU 7 reels which I have caught snapper and mulloway on. Also a few Alvey sidecast reels. But you're right, eggbeaters are so good nowadays. With braid, even better. Last week I saw an angler with a small multiplier reel, so not gone yet. Greetings from Australia. Hope you are well.

The line attached to the sinker at max 25 kg, (50 lbs) is too large to break, probably 20 kg , maximum is good.

I use 7- 10kg on normal paternoster. Using 20-30 lb braid mainline the sinker usually breaks off before the hook. Of course the hook can snag up but rarely happens. I can cast normally without bust off. I'm not Arnie though, just a mortal.

One the largest shark ever caught in South Africa was on an old wooden Scarborough reel and India cane rod. Go figure those where reel fisherman. Weak ass anglers with their new toys today can't even come close to that.😂😂😂
