    Guys, are you using the 150c or 300c? What do you think of them?

    I love my 150c, and 300c! I do wish the rgb was as bright and dimned down as low as the cct...not a big deal though. Game changer having constant rgb light...so nice w a mirrorless camera having what you see is what you get!

    Is this good for portability? Let’s say I want to do an outdoor shoot in the middle of nowhere. Does it have an attachment for NPF batteries?

    Need some advice. I like the 300c but i was also looking at the amaran 22c mat which almost 3x the price. Im primarly focused on doing interviews, corporate work and some music video. Anyone has thoughts in which one may be more ideal for my case use?

    If I'm looking for a light like this but with DMX and maybe even battery capability, what would you suggest? Is there anything out there for a similar price?

    Can I use the 150c and the spotlight se for stage lighting in a tiny theatre (classroom/theatre)? I know this was made for filming, but can it be used as stage lighting for a small stage?

      I belive you can do so! Maybe a stronger light would be preferable, it realy depends on the stage size.

    Nice lights. Currently using the 150c. Pity tho that the COB extends out so far, that the Godox Sa-17 Bowens adapter for the Godox Sa-P projection kit wont fit on these lights. So my only choices are to now buy an Amaran projector kit, or buy a second Godox Sa-17 and modify the bowens male ring to fall back. Luckily this modification can be achieved without messing up the light to focus distance too much.

      @@CineD happy to inform that my 2nd Godox Sa-17 Bowens mount projector adapter arrived yesterday and I completed the modification. My GODOX projection SA-P now fits my Amaran 150 light. It took a few hours to figure out the best way to perform this, after dismantling it, but the timely part of the exercise was figuring the best length brass stand offs to push the internal snoot back and then cutting off approx 8mm of the internal snoot at the glass end with a dremel. Overall it's performing well and due to light to focus distance there is no need to run the light beyond 60% with intensity. Doing so doesn't add much intensity to the projection after 60%, but the light will then run its fan hard after 60% intensity as it does generate a lot of heat. After all it is pushing 150watt and the Godox projection system is designed using their s30watt and s60watt lights. I'm assuming running this on an Amaran 300watt light, the max intensity needed would be 30 to 35 % intensity.

    I still prefer the Aputure Lightstorm series, but the Amaran lights are impressive nonetheless.

      It's incredible what you can get for little money in the lighting field these days, for sure.

    The light is really great and deserves attention, but the cases in which the light itself is located are disrespectful to customers (my opinion).
    Yes, the case in these models is not as terrible as in the COB60 models. But the question about a normal rag case (for example, how small reg did it) remains open🙂

    can i use the amaran 300c like a key light?!

    • @OrigEntertainmentOfficial
      @OrigEntertainmentOfficial 10 місяців тому +2

      Yes, light is light. It is all relative to how you position the 300c, compared to your other light sources, your ISO, F-stop, and shutter speed. So your 300c can be the key light. But so can any light given how they are relatively positioned to your subject. A full lighting class and explanation is pretty limited in a youtube comment. Good luck on your journey.

    Okay, some friendly advice. What drives me CRAZY about light reviewers is the fact that we see shots of the light, but most of the shots the light isn't even on. I don't CARE what the light itself looks like, I care what its lighting capabilities are.... seems like a pretty basic idea right? You're wasting my time with these pointless shots of the thing just sitting there not on, not lighting up anything, hardly any real world use case scenarios that i'm seeing on screen. Not trying to be an a-hole about this, but this is a pretty obvious issue here. I don't have much time to watch stuff like this because I work about 80 hrs a week between shoots and editing.. soooo, uh, can you help me out bro? Like take this thing out at night and light up the side of a car or building from 30 feet away. Will be wayyyyyyyy more helpful than this. Just a suggestion which would make you my hero.
