    Something to note that the Kupo Kombo Stands are absolutely magnificent. They are just like the Matthews ones and I love them. Worth looking at. I used Aputure Novas outdoors in windy conditions with them raised about 7 feet. no problems.

    Definitely going to monitor my a-roll shoots with my laptop using that adapter - that's terrific. And better yet...it just works. Doesn't seem to be complicated at all. Great tips, Tyler!

    I'd definitely add an X-rite Color Checker to the list. It's invaluable when grading controlled shoots.

    Fun thing I did: I bought a few Matthews t-bar screws because I *HATE* the crappy plastic one that comes with cheaper accessories. They're like $5 each, highly recommend.

    I have been watching a lot of those "How to build a Studio" videos and this one stands out. Simple tricks like the lint roller, that's what make this video stand out.
    Thanks for making and sharing it.

    The pavotube ii x series is twice as bright as the comparable Amarans and they both seem to have very similar effects and capabilities otherwise - I picked up the pt2c set and am considering returning and getting the pavotubes - am I missing something that would make the Amarans a better choice? I wonder why Amaran made their new tubes so much less bright than the competition.

    Tyler, I'm sure your work deserves special attention. You are the only observer of digital and cinematic innovations who, in rich and bright colors, without excessive scrupulousness, shows the average person simple and applicable truths. Thank you so much for the Mac Studio, Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve tutorials!

      It’s easy, just plug your camera into your computer, launch QuickTime and monitor yourself on the big screen. Much easier than buyer a dedicated screen for it!

    This setup looks nice and the image quality is 👌🏾. Love your color grading Tyler! When shooting in a less dynamic range situation like in studio do you keep your iso below 800 to reduce noise? Also do you overexpose your footage and bring it down in post?

    • @stalman
      @stalman  Рік тому +3

      That’s right, in studio I go down to ISO 400 to keep the noise down, but I don’t overexpose at all on the C70
