I doubt any 8 or tour track are gonna come back beside piranha plant pipeline if the console is backward compatible. 7 have DS track and 8 have Wii tracks because they can bring improvements to them. 9 can’t really improve on 8’s track and the booster course pass would still be in 9. I think they are gonna have 48 tracks to start and 24 of them are retro. Without 8 or tour we can also have more older track.
There is a very real chance that the only DS retro they bring back is DS Figure-8 Circuit. All retro picks (excluding DLC) for the Mario Kart games include tracks that haven't been remade before, and DS only has three nitros left that fits that category: Figure-8 Circuit, Bowser Castle, and Rainbow Road. While DS Bowser Castle and Rainbow Road might get in the way if they plan on bringing back another game's Bowser Castle or Rainbow Road, they don't seem to mind when it comes to bringing back multiple circuit tracks in one game, and DS Figure-8 Circuit perfectly fills the niche of a simple Shell Cup track.
We will probably see the next Mario kart game in the Mario wonder style since they usually follow the mainline games. Maybe make use of wonder flowers to change up the course obstacles. Like for example lap three on a course you hit the flower and the pipes on the side start moving around blocking areas. Stuff like that
Sort of. The first 3 mario kart games were off and on for how they followed their mainline counterparts, being: Super Mario Kart - Super Mario World (2D) Mario Kart 64 - Super Mario 64 (3D) Mario Kart Super Circuit - Super Mario Land (2D) By Mario Kart double dash, the Mario Kart games always followed the 3D Mario kart games, with: Mario Kart Double Dash!! - Super Mario Sunshine Mario Kart DS - Not too sure about this one. Mario 64 DS or new super Mario bros ds? Mario Kart Wii - Super Mario Galaxy Mario Kart 7 - Super Mario 3D Land Mario Kart 8 - Super Mario 3D World Sadly super Mario odyssey never got this treatment. Maybe the next Mario kart will incorporate elements from both Odyssey and wonder. But the weird thing is they usually release a new 3D Mario game before a new Mario kart game. Most likely the next generation switch will launch with a 3D Mario.
I feel the only way they can top 8 Deluxe is to add more modes, like a Double Dash mode, because in terms of track count they set the standard very high
I think that we'll probably get 48 tracks total. It gives us a decent enough amount to not come off as a downgrade from Mario Kart 8 and 24 nitros seems like a fair amount of new tracks from a developer standpoint. For retros I'd love to see something like this: *Banana Cup* N64 Mario Raceway SNES Choco Island 1 DS Luigi's Mansion Tour Pirahna Plant Slide *Shell Cup* GCN Peach Beach Wii Toad's Factory DS Delfino Square 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar *Leaf Cup* GCN Mushroom Bridge GBA Lakeside Park Wii U Super Bell Subway Tour Ninja Hideaway *Lightning Cup* N64 Royal Raceway GCN Dino Dino Jungle GBA Sunset Wilds Wii U Mount Wario *Bullet Cup* GCN Sherbert Land N64 DK's Jungle Parkway Tour Squeaky Clean Sprint Wii Dry Dry Ruins *Spiny Cup* 3DS Wario's Shipyard DS Airship Fortress Wii Bowser's Castle GCN Rainbow Road
The tour ‘nitro course’ in the next mainline game will be Piranha Plant Pipeline, I’ll bet on that now! Yet to be on a console so makes the most sense!
If they're gonna include Tour tracks in the next game, they HAVE to bring back Piranha Plant Pipeline. It's the only Tour track that wasn't in the Booster Course Pass.
The fact they didn’t put Dino Dino Jungle or Mushroom City in the Double Dash section and Yoshi Desert, Cheep Cheep Island, and Luigi Circuit in the Super Circuit section and cut Vanilla Lake and New York Minute is criminal.
I believe that they should add the driving chapters from the Half-Life games into Mario Kart 9 and also add Gordon Freeman and Alyx Vance and a Vortigaunt to Mario Kart 9

A very interesting idea I've had in the past is turning Waluigi Pinball into a Battle Stage, and adding stuff like even more obstacles including holes in the ground!
Prediction: Mario Kart 9 will have a gimmick like Double Dash did that changes the gameplay a lot. Mario Kart 8 pretty much perfected the standard kart play and there really isn’t a way to go up from it without it just being MK8 again

My best friend and I had a conversation a few days ago about if there were enough fan favorite tracks left to fill out at least a base 16 retro tracks for the next Mario Kart. After counting them all out, we concluded that there were still plenty of beloved tracks from all the games that were prime for remake material (not including base Mario Kart 8 tracks, which goes without saying imo). Here’s all the big fan favorite tracks we counted: N64 Koopa Troopa Beach N64 Wario Stadium N64 Bowser’s Castle N64 DK’s Jungle Parkway N64 Banshee Boardwalk GBA Yoshi Desert GBA Lakeside Park GBA Broken Pier GBA Bowser Castle 4 GBA Rainbow Road GCN Mushroom Bridge GCN Mushroom City GCN Wario Colosseum GCN Dino Dino Jungle GCN Bowser’s Castle GCN Rainbow Road DS Luigi’s Mansion DS Delfino Square DS Airship Fortress DS Rainbow Road Wii Toad’s Factory Wii Dry Dry Ruins Wii Bowser’s Castle 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar 3DS Wuhu Loop 3DS Wario Shipyard 3DS Maka Wuhu Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline So yes, there are still tons of potential choices for us to get excited for in the next game
Piranha Plant Pipeline is the one Tour track that should come back. It’s the only one that didn’t make it to 8 Deluxe, it doesn’t deserve to be lost media.
I’m guessing neither of them have seen or heard of Bowser Castle 4’s inclusion in Mario Kart Tour. I think BC4 is a great candidate for the next Mario Kart because its Tour rendition got a massive glow up from the original. It’s massive, there’s elevation, unique theming, the slope of steelies rolling towards you, gliding sections, the split path near the end. It’s amazing and almost seems like it was made for the Booster Course Pass.
Never noticed how many tracks wario has in 8. They brought back his DS Stadium and Goldmine, they have his mountain, but also Water Park and Ninja Hideaway that aren't even named, though still clearly themed after him. There's probably another one I forgot.
I hope they give us something really special with the Next Mario Kart. Something us old guys will be surprised by. How about a "Black Box Circuit" with new tracks based on different classics. I want to race on GUMSHOE ROAD! :)
I just wish they make a giant one lap track we're you travel through different Mario games, like you drive through Delfini plaza, then your at the commit observatory
Why the hell is no one talking about Piranha Plant Pipeline?? That track got scrapped for the bcp, and yet people don't even think it would come for mk9/mkX?
One track I always thought would be neat: a one lap track featuring all 17 floors from Luigi Mansion 3. Odyssey could also have some tracks based off of it, same with Wonder. Woulda been funny if Wonder's Bulrushes had been in Madrid from Tour for a running of the Bulrushes.
I played Mario Kart 8 on the WiiU at my friends house and loved it. I was hoping for a prediction video like this. I hope Nintendo takes advantage of the power of the next system.
If the Switch 2 is backwards compatible, honestly no tracks should overlap between the two games except a small handful of 8's nitro courses. I'd like 48 total courses, 24 new, 24 retro, which is the same amount of courses that 8 Deluxe launched with (32+DLC). I'd love to see them try for 100% new courses, but I know that's a dream. My retro courses: SNES - Vanilla Lake 1 - Koopa Beach 2 N64 - Mario Circuit - Banshee Boardwalk - Wario Stadium Super Circuit - Lakeside Park - Yoshi Desert - Rainbow Road Double Dash - Wario Colosseum - Mushroom City - Rainbow Road DS - Luigi's Mansion - Airship Fortress - Delfino Square Wii - Toad's Factory - Bowser's Castle 7 - Daisy Hills - Shy Guy Bazaar - Wuhu Loop - Wario's Shipyard 8 - Shy Guy Falls - Mount Wario Tour - Singapore Speedway - Madrid Drive
I think the base game of mk9 won't have 2nd time retros and only have 1st times since its too hard to include that many bangers in the base game and then do the dlc will be an additional 32 tracks with a whole bunch of fan favorites. Also I have a feeling if tour gets tracks they would be in the dlc and not base game since the city tracks would be oversaturation in a 16 track lineup (which I believe they will do)
I wonder if adding more tracks from other Nintendo series would be a good idea. Like adding a team rocket hideout track, or a battleship halberd track for example.
For SNES and GBA courses, what if you mashed 2 courses together? So you do a full lap on Vanilla Lake, and when you cross the finish line you switch over to Choco Island for a lap. When you've completed both, that counts as a single lap. Maybe both courses are on opposite sides of a plane, and the world flips as you cross the finish line. Or maybe you're on a mobius strip track that keeps flipping between the two. Kind of like the Mario Galaxy fire and ice world.
I remember ye olde MK9 wishlist vid and how some of those track predictions came true in MK8 BCP. As for what could be back in MK9, probably whats at the top of my list is GBA, GCN and DS Rainbow Road. By this point theyre the only ones not remade in one way or another.
I think that the original Booster Course Pass Tracks (Yoshis Island, Merry Mountain, etc) are gonna have the „Switch“ Emblem and the MK8 + DLC Tracks will have the „WiiU“ Emblem. And if the City Tracks come back, it will have the „Tour“ Emblem
If they only do 16, I think it'll be all brand new retro tracks again. Then maybe you get some of the Airship Fortress and Luigi's Mansions in the DLC, popular 2nd time retros that missed out on 8.
I feel like the earlier on in the series you go, the less and less high-quality courses there are to pick from, and it would overall make for an underwhelming base retro selection if what you’re saying turns out to be true.
I think Toad Harbors coming back because it seems like Nintendos favorite. I also predict the unlockables for the next game will be costumes for the racers
I want nine to be all nitro courses, 48 in total. Then you could spend $10-$15 for a game-pack that will have every nitro course from an old mariokart. It only works if they are fully remastered to look like the base game and released annually. These packs could also come with characters from that game missing in the base game (1 or 2).
@@zachstofko They would have to do something to one up eight deluxe. I think they’ve had enough time that they can fit all those new courses in (especially if they aren’t doing retros). I think if we are also forced to pay a “premium” for extra retro courses that means Nintendo can go all out for them. Just a thought though, I would even be satisfied with just an enhanced port or remake of eight deluxe with the booster courses upgraded and 1-2 new cups.
@@boydixonentertainmentthey actually did matter what you you say since the bcp confirmed and the official history of mario kart 2022 edition from Nintendo them self's counts all the 9 main entry's and no it doesn't need a number to count tour is mainline by Nintendo standards which default it to mk9

the point behind the dock in Delfino Square is that you can take a huge shortcut if you have a mushroom and basically leap over the water and onto the dock and also get an item there
I think it's important to note that the only times a track has been remade more than once are SNES (due to Super Circuit), and with DLC. Edit also the Rainbow Road is always the next in line. So unless they change that we're destined for GBA Rainbow Road
With retro tracks going up to Mario Kart 8, these are 4 from each game I'd pick. But for the sake of not making it too repetitive, I've left out all the retro track from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the Booster Pass. So with that said, this is what I've chosen: SMK: Donut Plains 2, Choco Island 2, Ghost Valley 3, Mario Circuit 4 MK64: Koopa Troopa Beach, Frappe Snowland, Wario Stadium, DK Jungle Parkway MKSC: Cheep Cheep Island, Yoshi Desert, Lakeside Park, Rainbow Road MKDD: Luigi Circuit, Mushroom City, Dino Dino Jungle, Wario Colosseum MKDS: Delfino Square, DK Pass, Airship Fortress, Bowser Castle MKWII: Toad's Factory, Dry Dry Desert, Bowser Castle (I couldn't find a good fourth one for this) MK7: Daisy Hills, Shy Guy Bazaar, Wario Shipyard, Maka Wuhu MK8: Sweet Sweet Canyon, Sunshine Airport, Electrodrome, Mount Wario MK8DX: Excitebike Arena, Dragon Driftway, Super Bell Subway, Big Blue Yeah, I know it's cheating having the DLC for Mario Kart 8 as it's own category, but there's just too many good ones to leave out in that game.
Talking about Tour Retro tracks and completely ignoring THE ONLY track that isn't in 8 Deluxe. Come on y'all. Piranha Plant Pipeline is 100% gonna be in the next game.
Ah yes one iconic Nintendo UA-camr who puts so much effort in his videos and is actually funny and charismatic. And another who is unfunny and makes corny ranking videos that his editor does all the work
fun fact: when not including cups from super because I honestly couldn't be bothered to check those, there are only 2 cups in the entire series that don't have any tracks in MK8D after wave 6. Those are the Special Cups from Super Circuit and Double Dash, so I feel like those are going to get more priority, especially with how generally well liked Double Dash's Special Cup is.
Mario Kart Tour IS Mario Kart 9. The next Mario Kart will be Mario Kart 10, which could be stylized as Mario Kart X. Then they could do cute little videos where they introduce Mario Kart X and then put another game at the end. They could have 3x Nitro, 3x Retro, and 3x Crossover cups for a total of 9 base game cups, which is 1 more than the standard 8. You could have your standard Mario Kart courses, and then you could have Nintendo Cups where you do a 3 tier track through Norfair, a race around Planet Popstar, laps around the Bionis, and then finish it all off with a terrifying trek through the Submerged Castle.
id love to see new york minute improved by having you drive up the empire state building, dodging those window cleaner platforms you see in movies and stuff, before jumping off the observation deck and gliding into central park
For some reason i was thinking that GBA Luigi Circuit's unique thing was that the track was flooded because of the rain. That would give us an underwater section that would give a turn.
I hope Mario Kart 9 adds more shenanigans to the game. Like, in addition to 200cc, I want many other wild track modifiers that can be turned on. Things like mirrored tracks or racing through tracks backwards would be cool, especially if such modifiers could all be toggled at once. (Double-dash 200cc backwards mirrored completely-random-items anyone?)
I feel like Nintendo has backed themselves into a corner here. If they make a new MK game, and it just has 32 tracks like normal, it's kinda like "Pshhhh why would I buy this, the MK I have now has 96 tracks!"
Hi it's me the rioter in the street for Dragon Driftway getting cut (but jokes aside picking 16 is rooough lol and ur 32 were really good). Cool to think about! Though they better have like 32 now that i see this lol
I would choose Ninja Hideaway over Athens Dash for a tour pick. Its my favorite mario kart track of all time so I am very biased, but it also feels the most in place compared to a city track and some of the other wackier tour nitros. Out of all of them I think Ninja Hideaway screams "Make me a retro track" the loudest, plus there's a lot of room to stick in a new gimmick or two. Athens is a great track but it's really weird as the only non mario universe pick in the lineup
one thing for tour tracks I feel was missed was the 1 purely unique track in tour that wasnt included in the mario kart 8 booster course, I feel like they would have to add that last course in there just so everything from tour can be preserved when it shuts down eventually.
I have an idea that I loosely thought about, that being the theme of "Extreme sports" will the game called "Mario Kart: Xtreme". with the gimmick being simular to DK racing but with an twist of that it follows the same rules as the Antigravity ramps/tracks.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe now feels like Smash Ultimate, I genuinely don’t know where they could even take the series after this. We’ve hit a point where it feels pretty perfect and moving on will be hard af

- Shy Guy Bazaar (3DS)
- Thwomp Ruins (Wii U)
Banana Cup:
- Cheep Cheep Island (GBA)
- Toad’s Factory (Wii)
- Animal Crossing (Wii U)
- Wario Stadium (N64)
Coin Cup:
- Luigi Circuit (GBA)
- Choco Island 1 (SNES)
- Mushroom City (GCN)
- Wuhu Loop / Maka Wuhu (3DS)
Leaf Cup:
- Lakeside Lark (GBA)
- Superbell Subway (Wii U)
- Piranha Plant Pipeway (Tour)
- Wario Colosseum (GCN)
Lightning Cup:
- Dry Dry Ruins (Wii)
- Banshee Boardwalk (N64)
- Bowser’s Castle (DS)
- Rainbow Road (GCN)
I would probably want Rainbow Road DS. But I think one of the Wuhu tracks from 7 is an amazing idea
I played Mario Kart 8 on the WiiU at my friends house and loved it. I was hoping for a prediction video like this. I hope Nintendo takes advantage of the power of the next system.
Scott the Woz Mario kart
Great point.
My retro courses:
SNES
- Vanilla Lake 1
- Koopa Beach 2
N64
- Mario Circuit
- Banshee Boardwalk
- Wario Stadium
Super Circuit
- Lakeside Park
- Yoshi Desert
- Rainbow Road
Double Dash
- Wario Colosseum
- Mushroom City
- Rainbow Road
DS
- Luigi's Mansion
- Airship Fortress
- Delfino Square
Wii
- Toad's Factory
- Bowser's Castle
7
- Daisy Hills
- Shy Guy Bazaar
- Wuhu Loop
- Wario's Shipyard
8
- Shy Guy Falls
- Mount Wario
Tour
- Singapore Speedway
- Madrid Drive
We literally just got DK Mountain in the Booster Course Pass. I'd choose and predict one that has yet to be remade, like Mushroom City.
Mushroom City was chaos.
i love these hour long nathaniel bandy mario conversations
I think the base game of mk9 won't have 2nd time retros and only have 1st times since its too hard to include that many bangers in the base game and then do the dlc will be an additional 32 tracks with a whole bunch of fan favorites. Also I have a feeling if tour gets tracks they would be in the dlc and not base game since the city tracks would be oversaturation in a 16 track lineup (which I believe they will do)
I thought Tour was technically MK9, since they've been counting every entry so far (outside of arcade).
I think Nintendo will count Mario Kart Tour as Mario Kart 9 and we will get Mario Kart X or 10.
Scott saying Wild Woods is "okay" makes me question any time I have ever agreed with him on anything in the past.
All I know is next Mario Kart better have Mount Wario.
There’s no way we aren’t getting Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline
I wonder if adding more tracks from other Nintendo series would be a good idea. Like adding a team rocket hideout track, or a battleship halberd track for example.
They seem to mostly save that for DLC.
A badge system like Mario wonder would be crazy
A sequel to Mario Games tier list we didn't deserve but needed.
I remember ye olde MK9 wishlist vid and how some of those track predictions came true in MK8 BCP.
As for what could be back in MK9, probably whats at the top of my list is GBA, GCN and DS Rainbow Road. By this point theyre the only ones not remade in one way or another.
I really hope we get Mushroom City instead of Mushroom Bridge. Its much more interesting in my opinion, and it hasnt ever been brought back
Fuck yeah
I think that the original Booster Course Pass Tracks (Yoshis Island, Merry Mountain, etc) are gonna have the „Switch“ Emblem and the MK8 + DLC Tracks will have the „WiiU“ Emblem. And if the City Tracks come back, it will have the „Tour“ Emblem
Merry Mountain was in Tour; It was specifically for Christmas events.
@@5742_nah because there are so many MK8 and Tour tracks to pick from. I also think that MK9 will have 48 tracks (24 nitros and 24 retros)
Dude that’s crazy. 48 brand new courses?!? Lmao. I
Like the idea though!
A Tour track that I kinda hope returns is Piranha Plant Pipewline as that track is trapped in Tour
I can't believe they didn't mention Piranha Plant Pipeline, the only new Tour track to not appear in 8 DX
They did though.
Mario Kart Tour is Mario Kart 9, why does everyone still doubt that?
Because it’s never actually been said.
@@boydixonentertainmentthey actually did matter what you you say since the bcp confirmed and the official history of mario kart 2022 edition from Nintendo them self's counts all the 9 main entry's and no it doesn't need a number to count tour is mainline by Nintendo standards which default it to mk9
@@mrgamer22222 Where’s your source then?
@@boydixonentertainment the bcp trailer and the official history of mario kart 2022 edition wallpaper from Nintendo.s site I can't link it since yt blocks links
Just no more Tour tracks and im more than fine!!!!
Piranha Plant Pipeline is coming
the point behind the dock in Delfino Square is that you can take a huge shortcut if you have a mushroom and basically leap over the water and onto the dock and also get an item there
I think it's important to note that the only times a track has been remade more than once are SNES (due to Super Circuit), and with DLC.
So with that said, this is what I've chosen:
SMK: Donut Plains 2, Choco Island 2, Ghost Valley 3, Mario Circuit 4
MK64: Koopa Troopa Beach, Frappe Snowland, Wario Stadium, DK Jungle Parkway
MKSC: Cheep Cheep Island, Yoshi Desert, Lakeside Park, Rainbow Road
MKDD: Luigi Circuit, Mushroom City, Dino Dino Jungle, Wario Colosseum
MKDS: Delfino Square, DK Pass, Airship Fortress, Bowser Castle
MKWII: Toad's Factory, Dry Dry Desert, Bowser Castle (I couldn't find a good fourth one for this)
MK7: Daisy Hills, Shy Guy Bazaar, Wario Shipyard, Maka Wuhu
MK8: Sweet Sweet Canyon, Sunshine Airport, Electrodrome, Mount Wario
MK8DX: Excitebike Arena, Dragon Driftway, Super Bell Subway, Big Blue
Yeah, I know it's cheating having the DLC for Mario Kart 8 as it's own category, but there's just too many good ones to leave out in that game.
Talking about Tour Retro tracks and completely ignoring THE ONLY track that isn't in 8 Deluxe.
Come on y'all. Piranha Plant Pipeline is 100% gonna be in the next game.
I hope Super Circuit's Rainbow Road gets remastered someday
Ah yes one iconic Nintendo UA-camr who puts so much effort in his videos and is actually funny and charismatic. And another who is unfunny and makes corny ranking videos that his editor does all the work
So true lol. Nathanials content is so stale at this point and his few attempts at skit comedy has just been awful.
Don't insult Scott like that
Scott is clearly taking note of the 10-1 start for Toledo
fun fact: when not including cups from super because I honestly couldn't be bothered to check those, there are only 2 cups in the entire series that don't have any tracks in MK8D after wave 6.
Mission mode comeback would be cool! And the missing DS tracks were the best ones in that game, so if they come back I’ll be screaming :D
Ngl I love the idea they just take all of these tracts exactly for Mario cart 9, No changes.
22:00 why was this edit so fire lmao
id love to see new york minute improved by having you drive up the empire state building, dodging those window cleaner platforms you see in movies and stuff, before jumping off the observation deck and gliding into central park
42:39 the way he says "I dunno" loool
Nintendo and Bandi have a joint studio now. Maybe Pac-Man comes back from Mario Kart GX?
For some reason i was thinking that GBA Luigi Circuit's unique thing was that the track was flooded because of the rain. That would give us an underwater section that would give a turn.
I hope Mario Kart 9 adds more shenanigans to the game.
Like, in addition to 200cc, I want many other wild track modifiers that can be turned on. Things like mirrored tracks or racing through tracks backwards would be cool, especially if such modifiers could all be toggled at once. (Double-dash 200cc backwards mirrored completely-random-items anyone?)
Did Blud forget about piranha plant pipeline??????
I honestly expect a base of 48 tracks which was what 8 deluxe launched with, and an even split of 24 new and old
I feel like Nintendo has backed themselves into a corner here.
I like how their logic for cutting Lakeside Park was that Riverside Park was brought back in 8DX.
But then they kept Sky Garden and DK Mountain...
Give me airship fortress, mushroom bridge, gcn Bowser's castle, gcn rainbow road, wario coliseum, toad's factory
one thing for tour tracks I feel was missed was the 1 purely unique track in tour that wasnt included in the mario kart 8 booster course, I feel like they would have to add that last course in there just so everything from tour can be preserved when it shuts down eventually.
Sometimes I think about how there are probably people who watch Scott’s stash but don’t know what Scott the woz is
I have an idea that I loosely thought about, that being the theme of "Extreme sports" will the game called "Mario Kart: Xtreme". with the gimmick being simular to DK racing but with an twist of that it follows the same rules as the Antigravity ramps/tracks.
Can we talk really quick about that beautiful transition at 22:00?
I was looking for this comment 😂
I really dont see them going back to only have 32 tracks for the base game, I feel like 48 is gonna be the new mario kart standard
I think Mario kart needs to reinvent itself for the next game. MK8 perfected the established formula.
They COMPLETELY forgot about Piranna Plant Pipeline, that is 100% returning
Finally, early gang! Saw Nathaniel Bandy and Mario Kart 9 Retro Tracks and immediately clicked!
For Tour I would choose Pipeline, Madrid Drive, Squaky Clean Sprint and Vancouver Velocity
No idea when this was filmed but they definitely should've waited till after wave 6
Why do i feel like so many people are just brushing aside wave 6 and are just like “ok for the next game”
This video was most likely released well before Wave 6 was announced.
