it's crazy how consistent Brandon Boyd is. He sings everything at studio level recreation
Saw him last month and can unfortunately confirm this is no longer the case.
@@Step2me141 thats why it was a time and a place... singing sucks.... becuase you will never sound the same twice... but boyd is and was and will always be a master of the art.
@@Step2me141 Yeah, sadly some voices ages well and some don't. But at his peak he was a marvel and we'll always have some truly amazing recordings.
Since you didn’t even touch their 2nd album S.C.I.E.N.C.E., my suggestion is for you to react to the entire album. The Incubus fans would LOVE for you to do that, I promise! Thanks again for giving Incubus a 6by, but you need to hear more!
This would make my year!
Brandon is one of those rare artists who, to me, sounds exactly the same live as he does on a record. No need for auto tune with that man. He's a Stellar singer. (Pun intended) 😁
I called the turntable an instrument to my 6th grade music teacher (after hearing Incubus and Limp Bizkit) and got kind of “shunned” for it. I am now 34, and still attest that it’s one of the greatest instruments of all time.
Gonna need another Incubus 6BY ASAP. They have so much great material!
I was a dishwasher at a restaurant at 14 and one of the cooks put on this album at clean up time. Bought it the next day. So good.
Bonus. Check out "Anna Molly". Great play on words.
This is a really great idea to do a deep dive on a band over multiple songs. No one else really does this. Great job thank you!
They are one of the best live bands ever. Brandon can sing sooo well live it's amazing how good they can sound
One of my exes introduced me to Incubus about 12 years ago when I a teenager and I fell in love with their music. It’s just such an iconic part of the alternative music scene, plus they definitely earned their icon status by just having such uniquely recognizable well written and performed songs! That being said, all this time and I had NO idea how phenomenal they sound live! This really is studio quality, honestly for the first few seconds I wasn’t looking at the screen before you mentioned them being live, and I truly didn’t even realize they were!
I saw them live a couple years ago and can confirm they sound FANTASTIC live. I was really impressed.
They really do!
One of the best bands I know of live. Every single one of them is phenomenal live. Brandons voice is soooo crisp and amazing. The fact that Kilmore DJs scratching records live he is so good. You should check out alive at redrocks that's their best live show in my opinion. I used to watch that DVD so much it stopped working Hahaha
Their music always makes me feel like I’m at the beach bout to catch some choice waves, HELLA IMMERSIVE!!!
Love Incubus... Great band. Still my go to band for a chill but cool vibe 😎. Saw them live at Leeds festival years ago.. just as good 😁
These guys were my first concert in 2001. I saw them three times after that. They are wonderful and draw great people.
One of my favorite guitar tones ever on that opening riff. Sooooo good
I love this band so much, its been a long time since i didnt listen to them. Nice throwback
This song has huge meaning in my life and I always get goose bumps listening to it.
This remains one of my favorite intros of all time. Have been listening to this song for so long, and the opening still gives me goosebumps every single time 🤘
They are flawless live...seen them 3 times and every time they were amazing
Amazing performance, I love this song ❤️
Incubus are fuckin pros at giving you album quality live shows
Another absolutely stellar performance/song from incubus is Look Alive.
Thank god you finally listened to them live. So in the pocket. So good, including this entire concert.
Love the Pink Floyd opener!!
Please continue this incubus journey again. You haven’t discovered the talented mr Ben Kenney yet. The new bassist changes everything for them
So. Good. Live. I love them
More 'Morning View Sessions' performances please!
“Ear candy” I loved this expression and Im adding it to my vocabulary haha
I like seeing a jazz mans take on a lot of these songs. Because I've seen it a such an influence in much of the genres
Do you think you'll ever revisit Incubus on the channel? I think It's incredible how they went from a funky nu metal cult band to modern rock legends in just a few years. Maybe you could check out their second and/or fifth record.
I was in a band with a singer who sounded just like Brandon. Great lyricist too. One of the best musicians I’ve ever played with and a solid dude
crazyy songgg dude!
Going to the beach today and definitely gonna be jamming this, especially I dig my toes into the sand
Noticed, and love that you start with some keyboard every video! A Fun one I never get tired of is "Magic Spider by Nelrogoblikon"
Love incubus!
I can’t imagine you didnt listen to Bad Omens song yet, called “The death of peace of mind”. I guarantee you will love it, they released an album also with that name, its a masterpiece, please react to it and shred it only how you can, thanks.❤️
Thank you so much. You positively effected my week. Thanks for making a difference man. For real.
That makes me sooo happy!
Best part of Incubus is their B sides. Wink wink.
Look Alive DVD CD
Odyssey on Halo soundtrack
Just amazing musicians.
You should do a 6BY of The Mars Volta
That show, The Morning View Sessions, was fantastic. You really gotta check out "The Warmth" from it!
Also can I say I fuxking love your intro
I’d like the snare drum episode. Also looking forward to the next 6by
Ima do a snare ep
Man, that PF cover was great!
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Hey, man. You have to check out Incubus “Glass” live from this same session. Without a doubt the best track of the session and the sickest groove.
You gotta make this one a 7 by and react to Megalomaniac!
Love the channel. Can't wait for some Glassjaw! There's gonna be Glassjaw right? Haha. Shira, Ape Dos Mil, Mu Empire!
I really really love how passionate he is about music. I don’t play any instruments but just seeing how excited he gets everytime he discovers a new band or rediscovers an older one, it makes me excited with him! Watching people do what they love really is a special kind of wonderful :)
I’d love to see/hear some 6-bys of: A Day To Remember, New Found Glory, Blink-182, and Motion City Soundtrack.
Or just do a solo video of Michigander.
Love it all! Thanks!
This is my favorite version of this song! Live is always better. Love it! Great 6BY, David!
TY JL!
Speaking of The Who, incubus covered "I Can See For Miles" and "I Can't Explain" for VH1 Honors years ago. Worth a view 🙃
Brandon just wrote about that on his blog! Apparently, Foo Fighters was supposed to do “I Can’t Explain”, but Dave’s voice wasn’t feeling great so they dropped that song. The show asked Incubus if they’d be willing to do it. They learned it and performed it on live TV in around 1.5 hours.
I know you’ve probably heard “drive” already but it should have made the cut. Same with megalomaniac. They’re like 1 and 2 on their most popular songs
David, should react to Sigrid - bad life featuring oli sykes from bring me the horizon! I feel like he would love it straight from the get go! :)
I did I did!!! Out sooooooo
He's normally amazing live I've seen them 5 times and love recently...but after his voice box got fucked several years back....he hasn't sounded great the last few years unfortunately. It makes me sad and I'm not sure what they're gonna do about it. He also has a side band called sons of the sea I believe that's a cool album you should check out. He also has some solo stuff , which I personally didn't groove with but do love some of their side band songs 💜
You should really react to Dig! It's their best song in my opinion!!
Please listen to bad omens and more Ice Nine Kills
If you want your head to explode, listen to incubus Aqueous Transmission by them.
You need to react to. Avenged sevenfold. Bat country
Please could you reacted more Incubus the song is called when it comes
MCR 6by next plz
They did get a lot of crap for the name of the band. But they stood strong in that they were kids when they picked out the name...and that it was just cool sounding.
pls react to Caution by Tiny Moving Parts
Is It Really You by Loathe
I will sell my soul to you if you get around to reacting to Incubus - Sick Sad Little World Live at Red Rocks. It’s fucking incredible.
DGD Pop Off! ???
Bring on the snairs my man
Dude, my snares
Is this where I say snare drums, yes?
Dude, snare drums
Still waiting for slipknot’s 6 by from a yr ago
Reaction to tears dont fall by bullet for my valentine please
Shane this didn’t hit SCIENCE - early incubus was funky and groovy.
Next 6by - mastodon
Whats the name of your intro song?
Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here
@@MusicShed ohh, sorry, I was referring to the one at 00:00
Have you done a 311 6BY?
Nope
I feel as though Incubus and Rush and The Who all go hand in hand as far as legacy. They didn't much care for making their fans happy. Both The Who and Rush got a good chunk of their praise later in their career. Incubus pissed a lot of lazy metal listeners off. But good music ALWAYS gets cemented in history.
Chris plays a lot of keys on the newer songs, as they have moved away from the 'nu metal' turntable sounds.
Pls react to new Polyphia song
I'm just so sad on how damaged Brandon's voice sounds now :(
Bro skipped half the song
Amazing video! The Morning View Sessions is a masterpiece
