They're dressed like 1980s rockers listening to 1990s rock.
The budget was eaten by the songs.😮
The producers are probably young. Let me put this together.
Yeah, it keeps bothering me
After enough time passes all of the time periods start to blend together. Could you differentiate between art from 1680's and art from the 1690's?
The title of the episode says MILLENNIALS listen to 90's rock.
Millennials were born from 1980 onwards.
"Why did you cave so easily, Travis?"
"It's Metallica"
Travis said a solid statement, like a Metal
“Millennials try not to react to 90s rock”
*dresses them in circa 1987 Bret Michaels/Axl Rose headbands*
Right??? Horrible decision. 😑😑😑
Yep, as usual, they got no idea 😂
I'm a Gen Z kid, was raised on all this. i am proud to say I knew every song, nearly ny heart. My parents raised me well.
same
Same here!
We need a part 2.....The 80's Edition
Van Halen - Jump
Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me
Joan Jett - I Love Rock n Roll
Aerosmith - Dude (Looks Like A Lady)
The Georgia Satellites - Keep Your Hands To Yourself
Whitesnake - Here I Go Again
Poison - Talk Dirty To Me
Warrant - Cherry Pie
Guns n Roses - Paradise City
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Higher Ground
Bon Jovi - Anything from Slippery When Wet
80’s edition, dressed in 2000 clothing.
I'm an 80s baby but late 80s so I grew up in the 90s, but the list is solid. They all are songs and bands I still listen to lol
We need Black Dog
Metallica: Master of Puppets
I'm dying laughing that Chris is laughing at Travis for the "mosquito" bit. Actual song lyrics: with the lights out, it's less dangerous, here we are now, entertain us, I feel stupid, and contagious, here we are now, entertain us, a mulatto, an albino, a mosquito, my libido, YEAH. Travis had it right Chris.. tsk tsk tsk
"SUNDAY!"
Ah yes Sundaystruck by ACDC
SUNDAY STRUCK!!! Cannot unhear. Sunday struck is when you're relaxing on a Sunday and it hits you that tomorrow is work and your personal time is limited.
I lost immediately and very proud absolutely no shame
Same
How can you lose this challenge lmao. These challenges are easy. The people in the videos only si NG and dance to create an interesting video
90s rock in America was more different to U.K. 90s rock than I realised
Lmao that dude making fun of the guy saying "a mosquito" when those are the words 😂
I also liked how they didn't even know who static x was.....
Dude yelling Sunday instead of thunder sent me
My sister used to think it started with Sunday.
You need to make this into a whole video series. There's way too many bands you didn't get to 😫
That was one of the most fun episodes in a while. I love every single one of those reactors. Travis's air guitar at the end was classic. Oh, and "Sunday" made me have to pause the video to laugh. More like this, please.
Maybe getting back to their roots when things were fun and not so over the top???
*“I’m with stupid, and contagious, here we are now, in containers, avocado, hell if I know, I’m a skittle, I’m a Beatle, yeah!” - Kurt Kobain*
Thank you
😂😂😂
@@N-A-24795you’re welcome
@@Amanda-cv7vn😝😂
the song "sunday" by ac/dc is the best-selling song in australia. true story
Wish Zombie by The Cranberries was a song they would've played. That song would've broken them all!
Stone Temple Pilots played "Sex Type Thing" at the concert I went to, they lit up the stage!
I remember thinking "THAT IS ROCK!"
For that concert they just KILLED IT.
They became one of my favorite bands after that.
"He walked so Harry Styles could run"? Harry Styles wishes he could be anywhere near the atmospheric level of cool that is Lenny Kravitz.
The lack of recognition for Static X is heartbreaking. RIP Wayne.
You should do this to 80s rock, groups like Def Leppard ,poison,, Journey,Aerosmith, bon Jovi,,Pat Benatar, Van Halen, Joan Jett,Quiet Riot ,Queen, Heart, warrant, white snake ,slade, Billy Idol etc.
Yes!!!
For 90’s they should do Def leppard Make love like a man Queen Made in Heaven Scorpions Wind of Change Ozzy Osbourne no more tears Metallica Reload
Welcome to 90's songs that 80's kids remember.
"He walked so Harry Styles could run"
Girl, please. Harry's got nothin on Lenny Kravitz.
Jimi Hendrix walked so Lenny Kravitz could run
@@atvena lmao, I don't think yall understand how this phrase works.
Harry Styles is trash
does he not know that “ a mosquito” is actually a lyric in the song?
Travis and Jayse are always so much fun to watch.
The fact that two new Static X fans were born is a great day for Metal. RIP Wayne Static.
I agree, lyrics were always hard and debatable when I was growing up. We didn’t have phones to look up the lyrics. We sang and rocked out to what we thought it was. Unless someone had the jewel or cassette case and it actually HAD lyrics on the album art. Internet didn’t have that much stuff on it, it was new.
We sang what we felt and it still worked out haha
@PTRRanger951 Old school, play it over and over and write the lyrics down using a pencil and paper...and an eraser!
Those two guy really don't care if they win or lose, then just wanna headbang, lol
Props for giving Static-X some love! 🤘
"Hello hello hello hellooo"
Chris: "GOODBYE. GOODBYE. GOODBYE."
got my dyinggg 🤣🤣🤣
I love that the Offspring got some love here. They’re literally my favorite band, and I feel like they’re not recognized/appreciated enough for how awesome they are. It was so hard to not rock out myself while watching this video. I’m fairly certain I failed multiple times! 🤘🤣
That's not how we dressed in 90s. They're watching 90s videos not containing anyone dressed that way.
The hair band wigs are killing me lmao
Jaxon and Angel would have lost this episode haha
Yeah I know Jaxon isn't a millennial, but no one tell him he wasn't invited. 😂
“When you’re a kid you don’t really understand the lyrics”
I don’t think kurt even really understood his lyrics😂
That's the whole point of the Weird Al parody of the song.
@@JMcMillen okay captain obvious, thabks for your input💪🏻
Props to whoever decided to put Static-X in 🤘🏻 RIP Wayne
There where no losers only winners in this great music and tons of fun.
Dude singing basket case sounded good fr 😂
"I am so mad but I'm having so much fun"
great summary of this one
This is one challenge I could not do...Rocking out to songs like these just in the dna all day.
Now you gotta get the emos in here with mid 2000s - 2010s rock
Emos came out in the 80’s/90’s. Emos music in the early 2000’s was bland.
@@taoist32 The 2000's Emo was a little softer than the 80/90s. It definitely has more radio airplay though
@@The-One_And_Only_Station True, like My Chemical Romance.
More suggestions:
Epic by Faith No More (1990)
Painkiller by Judas Priest (1990)
Holy Wars...The Punishment Due by Megadeth (1990)
Them Bones by Alice in Chains (1992)
Killing in the Name by Rage Against the Machine (1992)
Suck my Kiss by Red Hot Chili Peppers (1992)
All the Small Things by Blink-182 (1999)
Freak on a Leash by KoRn (1999)
I only do sign Epic and Suck My Kiss
headbanger dude did not understand the assignment and it was glorious to watch 🤣🤣🤣
Millennials react to Green Day, Blink 182, Sum 41, Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, The Offspring, My Chemical Romance, and Bowling for Soup.
HALEY, TRAVIS, & JAYSE!! This was such a fun video to watch. I have to wonder, though, how Jaxon would have done - I swear he knows every artist & song, from every genre.
Fun fact, did y'all know Lenny Kravitz' mom is Roxie Roker from The Jefferson's? She was part of the interracial couple. She is also AL Roker's cousin lol
Haley really should have reconsidered that outfit for a headbanging/bopping-based challenge...
Raised on head bangers ball. Raised my kids on heavy metal. Thunderstruck is my ringtone
Back in Black is mine , opps showing my age
I lost every song within 20 seconds. 😂
Well done, you! 👍
Jayse is a man after my own heart. Great taste in music, great hair, great headbanging skills!
The guy in the green plaid is having the best day. I'm right there with him this is my music.
Please do a video "Millennials Try Not To Rock To 80s Rock Songs(Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Van Halen, Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Scorpions etc.)"
if you're from the yeehaw ALL these songs are literally 94.5 the buzz on loop
lately they've gone bad but they still play all these songs in between
Fr!!!
Lenny broke 5 out of 6; of course. The respect shown to The Offspring was perfect. I subbed.
Trying not to rock to these songs is like trying to stop sneezing - it can't be healthy!
First concert of my life was Green Day on Thanksgiving day of my freshman year of high school. All of these songs are just ingrained in me.
May 18th is the 6 year anniversary of Chris Cornell passing. Keep the 90s vibes going and do a reaction to a retrospective of his career.
It would have been great to have Jaxon in this one 😂
I can't imagine Jaxon being able to resist rocking along to any of these. He probably knows all the lyrics to all of the songs they played.
@@steventhrasher3608 that is exactly what I was thinking xD and he just wouldn't be able to stop himself ^^
The comments: Casually insulting and calling the reactors idiots or overly dramatic, knit picking the style, and complaining
Literally anyone else: Just wanting to enjoy shit without you all being picky. 😐
THIS DESERVES A PART 2!!
I miss these songs!! I wish music could be more like this now days
Should've played "When Worlds Collide" by Powerman 5000. Who's lead singer is the younger brother of Rob Zombie. 👌
No thanks that’s when rock was backsliding
@@taintedlife2618 To each their own. I like the song...🤷♂️
As a genX metal head and grunge enthusiast the fact the millennials don't know so many of these songs hurts my soul...
The 90s were the best of my life, I'm 43 now and these songs were the best experience back then.
Failed miserably... THANK YOU! For the trip down memory lane. I was in my 20s then, and it was a HELL of a decade. Was on the road today, and picked up a wicked rawk station out of boston. They played a few of these bands- like Tonight Tonight from the Pumkins. (same album) And the Offspring- just a different song. Also Green Day's American Idiot. (like Dirty Laundry, that song is at least as true now, as it was then...)
I'm sure my fellow travellers were quite entertained when No Sleep Till Brooklyn from the Beasties came on. Hadn't heard it in YEARS! Also Hey Man, Nice shot from Filter. I think I may have blown my speakers, when Slow Ride came on, lol.
The only way it could have been better, is if theyd also played Never Been Any Reason from Head East, and/or Twilight Zone from Golden Earring; and/or In The Dark from Billy Squier. (they did play him, just a different song) I DARE you to try and sit still during any of those!
You guys should do a part 2 of this category
Y’all gotta do 2000-2010 metal just make sure Jayse, Travis, and chris are in it
I appreciate Jayse guessing Alice in Chains since they never get included in these things. When I was a kid listening to them on the radio I used to mix them up with Stone Temple Pilots sometimes too. Love both. 🖤
OMG I was born in 1965 grew up listening to 70' 80' 90' the three greatest decades in history I've seen static X several times R.I.P WAYNE STATIC🙏💯👍
Can't believe its been nearly 10 years. Zero does a great job but its just not Wayne
I wouldn't even try. I cannot. I would lose all these challenges by default. Kind of like how Sharon is with the try not to eat challenges 😂
It’s physically impossible to not rock out to Come Out and Play.. you just can’t
My parents were born in the 1970's and grew up with stuff like Green Day, AC/DC, Guns and Roses, and Nirvana,, etc. and that's at least part of the music I grew up with (I was born in 1999).
they actually do say “mosquito, my libido” in smells like teen spirit.. 😭
It's impossible not to headbang on Dragula's chorus.
why are they dressed like 80's Glam Hair Bands when they are reacting to 90's rock songs ? Different Era for a Start
That was my question, but I doubt they know the difference.
DUDE STOP!!! IM BRUISING MYSELF JUST HITTING MY ARMS WHILE ROCKING WITH THESE GUYS.
I love these reactions plus I grew up in the 90's because i will be 40 years old in June and I still like wearing flannel shirts and ripped jeans, Also its still awesome to listen to 90's rock 🤘
Really highlights how arbitrary our concept of "generations" can be -- I'm a Millennial who heard these songs from the source on MTV or rock radio or bought the CD (Dookie was the first compact disc I ever called my own!), a lot of these people heard them from their Gen-X parents or in the context of video games and movie soundtracks. And no shade on them, I'm glad everyone agrees that these songs are great, just wild how wide a gap ten years can seem and how much has to fit under the very broad "Millennial" label.
Dookie was one of the best albums ever created. PEAK GREENDAY.
I tried not to rock out listening along with this video. It was tough, but I did it. In my head on the other hand...
should have included "killing in the name" by Rage against the machines!
We're old, but we are still at least kind of cool. Whether our kids want to admit it or not. Here's to passing the torch to our babies💖
I am a 34 y/o guy. This is thw music that got me in to rock. Static X is my FAVE band!!
Hear hear! Poisoning my niece and nephew with 90s, their mom and pop can"t do nothing!!!
OMG! These songs bring up so many mammaries....I mean memories!!😮
"this is an easy one not to sing to"
As I'm belting my lungs out
I got so hyped on this... I have no control whatsoever
Same, I sang to all of these
Haley and Izzy are so cute in this episode, and I grew up with 90s rock with all these songs, and shout out to the lady who is wearing a styper shirt, they're a Christian rock band, the next react is try not to rock to Christian Rock/metal
Bride - Rattlesnakes in the playground, Scarecrow Messiah, Skillet, Flyleaf (real Flyleaf) DC Talk - Jesus Freak. I could go one and on.
@@pepepepert Demon Hunter infected, impending Doom my nemises and living sacrifice screwtape
The real 90s bands were Nirvana, Alice in Chains ,Stone temple Pilots. Ac Dc and Metallica are 80s bands
90s songs not bands.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Twisted Metal fans worst enemy was Dragula 😂
We NEED more rock reaction (or try to resist) vids.
17:39 OMG, I was at that STP concert at Van Andle Arena in GR, MI too. 😃🤭
As soon as I heard the first note for Thunderstruck by AC/DC I automatically started bobbing my head
The blonde with red bandana just melts me 🫠🫠🫠
I love that none of them could resist Lenny Kravitz 😆
these vids are just so fun!
Static-X was part of the lineup at my first rock concert and it was love at first sight. RIP Wayne.
Ever heard of Soundgarden or Alice in Chains? The Prodigy? Oasis? Suede? Garbage? PJ Harvey? NIN? Faith No More? Kyuss? The Verve? Manic Street Preachers? Therapy?????????
I've had such different 90s
Technically it's gen x music even though we loved it.
R.I.P Wayne Static 😢
Thanks guys for that!!! It is very fun! Congratss!!!
Jayse and his gorgeous hair!!!!
That’s exactly why I grew my hair out too.
Not really but it’s a very valid reason!
Rob Zombie bought the actual "Dragula" from The Munsters and he made this song after he bought it. I also believe it's actual one the video to.
