This is a great lesson because it gives so much more than just instruction on one song.
It’s also interesting to note and remember that Bobby Womack (through circumstance as a kid) played left-handed but with a guitar strung as if it were for a right-handed player, I believe?
Great lesson!
Bobby Womack and Reggie Young on the same track is just insane.
This is awesome! Adrian always delivers stuff that has me thinking, "THAT is how I want to play!" Besides the versions Adrian mentioned, Kirk Fletcher's guitar work on his version is fantastic.
Telecaster sounding ever so sweet Adrian !
Man this is really exactly what I've been looking for, and exactly the kind of playing that I've been trying to work towards. Really great tune to demonstrate with, and really blew my mind to realize what I needed was more just combining what I'm already doing in different ways: general genre vocab/licks, pentatonic noodling, rhythmic chord hits! Awesome blueprint to tackle loads of different tunes.
Thanks again, this really was one of those breakthrough lessons for me!
A beautiful song played beautifully 🙏
It's raining here in Connecticut. This song is the perfect vibe. I love Wilson's rockers but this is my favorite of his. Nice job as always.
Wonderful work, Sir.
Easily your finest lesson to date! Great concepts taught way beyond the basic structure of this classic tune!!! Jim C.
Love this!! Thank you Adrian!!
Beautiful!! Welcome back soul riffs.
Always loved this tune. Bobby is so underrated both as a songwriter and a musician.
He and Curtis Mayfield are my two favourites.
I agree, Bobby Womack's genius and talent are underestimated by many.
Fantastic!!!🤩 You are, without a doubt one of my favourite teachers. Love your lessons, ty..keep them coming!!
Thank you Adrian. Always something different. Great stuff.
Man you literally are the best. I hope you know that
Love it!! Love your choice of tunes and your joy and enthusiasm in sharing them. Great playing.
That’s lovely!
This is a great way to begin the weekend. Thank you !
Easy to see how this stuff influenced the playing of Keith Richards. This kind of soulful playing is my favorite style. Learning aongs note for note can be useful, but learning what's going on, improvising, and finding the groove is even better and makes it your own.
I think the soul influence on The Stones is really underrated.
Note for note is very good as it increases personal technique.
@@mrsoul4231it’s kind of inescapable if you know the era.
Well played with just the right sound from the gear.
Great lesson on a beautiful classic song. Thanks, Adrian!
Wow sounds so good
Wow, solid video, thank you for the inspiration!
This is wonderful, thank you
Fine stuff, well perfomed!
Excellent, thanks
Thanks for this very comprehensive lesson.
Adrian, you are THE MAN 😎🙌🏻
Just ❤ this channel
Really informative, as always
Thank you :) Love the Telecaster ❤
Thanks Adrian, way cool.
Fantastic
Bravo!❤️
Thanks Adrian
very nice!
Awesome. Sounds almost like a Billy Bragg tune
Bobby and Reggie Young Played on both versions with Reggie Young playing those descending parts and bobby playing the main chords.
Is there another YT guitar channel with this much interesting and inspiring variety? This is the way to learn guitar.
Have you checked out Eric Haugen?
@@donyoung7874 -- exactly who I was going to mention! Yes, between this amazing channel by Adrian and Eric Haugen's channel, we are treated to two excellent musicans and teachers with eclectic and superb taste in music.
@@boomerdell I found out about Adrian from one of Eric's videos. I agree with everything you said. Both men are so laid back in style but they can bring the heat too. I forgot about Tim Pierce though! His last couple of videos cover how to play some Steely Dan leads and he has a fretboard graphic up showing the patterns as he plays them. I've learned so much after finding these guys. Have a great weekend!
awesome
Very tasty! I’m entering my less is more era and this convenes nicely with my intentions. As if you knew just what I was thinking….
Nice
Will you teach, Let's do it again. By the Staple Singers! The most beautiful guitar parts. Thanks William.
Adrian would you do a breakdown of Blank Generation please. Its very similar to Stray Cat Strut and I can't remember you mentioning Brian Setzer who is a marvel.
2 songs in one vid?
Both based on an old tune called Beat Generation I think?
😊
Nice guitar
Great video once again! I heard a guy playing who sounded like he used a lot of piano player's ways of bouncing back & forth between chords while vamping. Do you have any ideas how those work? Gospel players seem to use some. No matter what chord they are on... they have some kind of formula for toggling back and forth. Thanks!
I can't find any guitar lesson for the Arthur Lee Love song Your mind and We belong together. Itvwas a single right after Forever Changes. Anyone wish to oblige?
Any plans to get the new Ross compressor from JHS?
Reggie young’s played much of his song with Bobby Womack, Reggie played the more intricate parts of
Immediately reminds me of Beast of Burden by the Stones?
Reggie Young is the best guitarist Cornell Dupree is pretty good too.
