Ali, what you said around min 25 is very important. The time you spend with people you care about is priceless. Life goes by in a heartbeat and sometimes people or animals who want your attention are not around anymore and you have to live with that regret. You‘re on the right track, I think. Not easy, well done.
Very True. Other guy is doing the same thing for last ten years, only the devices & environment changed. Once someone put price/time tag on everything, his/her life is doomed for sure.
@@AmazTech you are so right. You just can’t think in terms of losing money when you are not working. It’s like a curse, then, instead of a wonderful thing to be able to earn money when you are working.
I love how internal Mrwhosetheboss is. I love how considered his nuance is in how he speaks and shares information, and how deliberate he is in conveying meaning. Whereas, Ali is so outwardly curious and information-driven. It's interesting that Mrwhosetheboss enjoys being the teacher and Ali is so much in love with being a student.
Essentially, they are both so much in their thoughts about the how and the why, that they convey value regardless of their individual drive to improve. Knowledge is always the ongoing pursuit of it more than it is any fixed point of having attained it. Seemingly, value and meaning is a continuous journey.
I'm glad they continue to give information, content and value with a layer of intentional meaning.

Apart from absolutely fantastic 1 hour 30 mins of my UA-cam watch time... there are 2 funny takeaways:
1 - This video cannot be played at 1.5x as every time Ali is talking, you won't comprehend!
2 - Man! the looks at Ali's face when Arun told that he has only 2 team mates lol... Ali was like - What the hell is my 25 man army doing!

Thank you for the interview, it was has been pleasant to watch and very inspirational. I've been Arun's subscriber for almost 5 years now. I subscribed for the straight to the point attitude and stayed for everything else. It's insane how his videos skyrocketed in overall quality over time. Forever my most favourite tech UA-camr.

This is an amazing conversation. I sit here bricking myself about quitting my job to go full time and this has certainly given me confidence.
One thing he does that is so clutch is he puts a real time count down timer with key moments marked on the time line. So you know at any given point exactly where you are in the video and what is coming up
Awesome!! I had long awaited to see these two UA-camrs share a screen together and share thoughts and I even thought it would never happen for a long while. I should say UA-cam is kind of a content genie, first you ask and if it doesn't have the content it'll let the right persons make one for you.
Instantly clicked on this when I saw it on instagram. Two of my most favourite youtubers making a video together is not something you get to see very often. Also know that a lot of people in the comment's section feel that way as well.

Love this dude because of how informative his videos are, how they are laid out, his voice and his funny small skits/punchlines throughout his videos
This is exactly what I needed to hear! Focus on where you are and what step is next. Keep the end goal in mind but don’t worry about it so much.
I’ve taken the steps to take my UA-cam channel more seriously and I’m working on a new video right now!
Two of my most favorite youtubers in a single video, and that too on in my favorite genre, Podcast.
So, I totally agree with Ali when he says that goals should be established considering your control over them. Even if you are not setting unrealistic goals, like getting your startup to a valuation of a 20 million in 1 year. This might not be unrealistic but it surely isn't in one's control, which gets really frustrating when you don't achieve it, moreover, you get this feeling of disappointment, which is really unreasonable. Instead slightly changing the goal to be "creating a valuable product (a product which really solves a problem) by the end of a quarter", this would be more reasonable as you are not setting any expectation, as you are just giving your input, trying your best to create something which is valuable, if it works out, then it is an added bonus, if it does not, you still have achieved the goal of creating something valuable, at least you think it is valuable.
This was so damn incredible. I know I'll be watching this again and again in the future. Thank you for this. So much wisdom in here.

What i love about this guy is he's so bloody genuine, not bullcrap it's why he's so popular i think! Also the fact that he has a great voice, and he puts a lot of thought and effort into his videos.
Great video Ali, Arun’s humility is striking and the effort he puts into his videos comes out. There is an math fact - If you can type at 100W a minute and speak at 160W, you should technically be able to script in 35 mins. Yet Arun takes 40 hours to create the perspective. It’s a little like advertisement that’s watched in 10 seconds but takes weeks to get right . Food for thought.

@@muralibalaraman yes I know. It was a joke on the fact that you used the uppercase W (which is for Watts) rather than the lowercase w which is for words. And since when someone speaks they output energy as well (and energy is a function of power and time, or Watts and minutes/hours), the joke extends to the fact that the way a person speaks can technically be measured by energy as well (although that's pretty obviously not at all a common way to do it).

Now I admire Arun more thank you so much for making this podcast I had stopped uploading videos now I feel like reconsidering since even when I use to make videos i use to spend lot of time improving content with whatever resources I had. Even I use to admire MKBHD alot i still do he is the OG I started creating content looking him and other creators but as Arun said he created a framework the brand of content we use to strive for perfection even though I knew that not possible 100% Both MKBHD and Arun are great channel but the type of content he is making is modern and smart

From months ago UA-cam kept recommending me this video. Didn't have the need to click until now - oboy, I should've done from the start. Thanks Ali & Arun... . this dialogue showcases the best knowledge in the rawest form. AND... that's how a real interview should be done. Many interviewers tend to ask a question wayyy to long (or worse, irrelevant), leaving little room for the guest's intelligent response.
This conversation was really valuable to me on multiple levels. As a woman in her late 40s with a family and business to run yet only just beginning on the UA-cam journey I’ve realised I will simply NEVER achieve anything even close to the levels of success that these guys are experiencing. I’m a hard-worker and get obsessive with new projects but these guys are just wired differently. Their huge brains are very different to my more instinctive way of working. Plus I realised in my mid 30s that there was more to life than burning out for my career and I have a much happier (if less wealthy!) life now. But as a professional freelance corporate event/video producer having this insight into how differently these guys work has given me some new ideas on how to work with some of my most senior (similarly big-brained) clients when helping them develop their content! Thank you!! You’re both awesome and I follow all your channels avidly!
