I agree, 45 seconds in i thought this guy was better, if i was the champ, i would've opened with van halen jump, then worked kris kross into that, an eddy and kris tribute as well, the one thing to critique if any, was record selection, alot of battle wax, duck breaks is at least 22yrs old, still though this dude shouldve won
Vestax Mixers are still no. 1. my 05 pro 2 is still going strong and sounds amazing 19 years later. This set is worthy of first place. Proper scratching and mixing.
This guy's routine is really good - but I suspect the judges preferred the way Yukichi (the winner) used ALL original records, and no battle weapons. We're all so used to hearing those snippets and samples - "AAH / C'MON YEAH / SCRATCHING / WHAT IS IT" etc - that is was refreshing to hear Yukichi go back to the essence and play actual "records".

This is EXACTLY what an all vinyl DMC set should sound like. The winner was trash, from a tablist standpoint. Y'all should have had that shit in the other competition. Come on, DMC.. dont Fuck this up in the future. With that said, traps had a better set.
