This video is a GOLDMINE. So cool to see the techniques and skill on display here by these gentlemen. As a child of the 1980’s and growing up on 1970’s-1990’s rock music AND hip hop music, this video is like a technical manual helping me to explore and understand the “what & why” I found turntable scratching so fascinating and loved artists like Run DMC, LL Cool J, and so many more. Throw on the movie “Beat Street,” let me get some cardboard for my breakdancing crew and let’s get busy!
R.I.P. GrandMaster Roc Raida. You're the Reason I still get "Wreck on Decks".All Love Man,and Big Up to Total Eclipse Too.(X-MEN 4 LlFE)You would Be DOPE!! as E's of E.P.M.D.'s Dj. "You can use the marks if you want, if you're on that level. Or you could use headphones if you're just spinning in the clubs or just spinning for...at picnics or whatever you're gonna do." RIP Radia!
Thanks for that tip on the sticker dots for backspins Eclipse! I was so frustrated for so long trying to backspin & wondering why my needle kept skipping around!! Thanks to this video, now I know why!
I've been spinning since 1982 and like to think I know shit...but this was crazy informative and I have NEVER seen that Band shit at the end...that was crazy dude...awesome.
+Almighty Loaf Productions so much harder because you had belt drive turntables that didn't get up to speed like the technics because so many couldn't afford it. You had to finesse the cuts and mixing then. But that also made it so much easier when you did get your own 1200s. same way now for the folks that use the Numark or Pioneer players. A lot easier but the best still have to have that talent. they just have better tools now.
Great vid fellas I'm just starting my Dj journey and this vid help me out a lot on different things I've been wondering thanks again keep the vids coming...
TheJerzyslugga if ya lookin for some newer tutorials, look up DJtlmTV...just found him, and he has some great vids for beginners and advanced people there

From what Ive head and read. Dj spinbad also out of Philly is said to be the creator of the transformer scratch. Jeff & cash money also did it. But when all said and done props goes to Jeff not for creating it but for show casing & giving it the name.
SPINBAD, WAS NOT THE CREATOR OF THE "TRANSFORMER SCRATCH" IT WAS "GRAND WIZÄRD RASHÉÉN" WHO WAS THE MENTOR TO CASH & DJ JAZZÝ JEFF, THAT INFORMATION IS SO OFF BASE😣
Rob Swift - "understand what a person is doing.. learn it.. make it better", "keep the art progressing"

I love battle/philly style. Apart from having the tonearms & needles out of the way, I think the decks look better turned sideways!

Flare told me that he was trying to transform and accidentally came up with a new scratch.

So what I was using were aluminum vinyl plates to achieve a perfectly stable sound without the use of paper
So the way I spin we'd be found head to head
