- this plain, flat front desk was begging for a makeover, it definitely was a clean slate for adding interest using a soft paint blend, redesign with prima transfers, wood u bend mouldings, and resin hardware accents. the final result is a luxurious vanity full of sparkle and detail

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE THAT CLEAR FINISHES ARE BEST IF THEY'RE SPRAYED. I DO BELIEVE I FINALLY HAVE A PAINT SPRAYER BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT TO SPRAY MY FINISH FROM A CAN ANYMORE. I HAVE BEEN SO PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS OF SPRAYING THE CLEAR COAT. I HAVE ALWAYS FELT THAT THIS FINISH ENDS UP BEING BETTER THAN FACTORY. I THINK WHEN WE'RE DOING THE WORK WE HAVE THE TENDENCY TO TO PROVIDE MORE COATS TO A PIECE. I SUSPECT FACTORY FINISHES JUST MIGHT DO ONLY ONE COAT. MOSTLY I DO REFINISHING WITH ONLY STAIN AND VARNISH, BUT I WANT TO DO SOME FUN PIECES TOO.
