That concert was a long series of "I never in my fucking wildest dreams thought I'd ever see INSERT SONG live performed by Temple of the Dog." The whole freaking ToD record, about half of MotherLoveBone's stuff, a bunch of kick-ass covers (Sabbath, Zeppelin, The Cure, Free, etc.), some of Cornell's solo stuff, and to top it off this awesome version of Hendrix's "Hey Baby." It was just too awesome.
M.A.C.C I bought the Stone Free Hendrix tribute on cassette bk in the day & couldn't wait to hear their rendition of Jimi's Hey Baby. Man I was blown away....
I don't know who recorded this, but thank you. One of the greatest artists/rock singers singing one of the greatest rock artists greatest songs (in my eyes anyway). My favorite Jimi song. Just learned about him singing this tonight.
My favorite Hendrix cover ever. I learned this note for note, listening to the CD in 1994. The first time I got to play it through a univibe it was magical.
Hard to top Chris and Mike McCready, for sure! But you know what? That little Eddie Vedder guy has more heart than 99% of performers out there. Sure is nice of him to lend his band play with his friend Chris. :)
Obscure Hendrix song? I dunno about that. I like it the best. ;) Listen to his... it's magical. I've listened to it so many times more than "stairway to heaven" that I am not even sick of Stairway. lol
Temple of the dog? I thought this was M.A.C.C. (McCready, Ament, Cornell and Cameron). They were the ones who recorded this song for the "Stone free" compilation album. Temple of the dog was a different side project that included Eddie Vedder......This looks like M.A.C.C. plus Stone Gossard.
Ever start watching one of these videos of your favorite musical inspirations on UA-cam or even see them live and catch yourself thinking things like "pick a fucking tempo" or "they're rich and famous?" Or "did the folks paying to see this show not notice how bad that cover was?"
Chris was awsome in all those bands and in solo. They had great names (and it's rare) with significant and simple meaning (thanks to Chris) and amazing songs that sounded like no one else. I would love your input on the first video of my first album. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) who is following us on Soundcloud but returns from people who likes same music is always the best. If you have just 3 minutes to listen and a bit more to comment, that would mean the world to me. Keep rockin' : ua-cam.com/video/Pu_p1wbaCa8/v-deo.html
Never in a million years did i think I would ever see Chris Cornell singing my favorite Jimi Hendrix tune.

Makes sense that they did this though... four out of five of them recorded it on the album ironically called Stone free!
This raw, beautiful performance brought me to tears. RIP Chris. ❤️
Chris you are so missed by millions of people who love you 🖤
Amazing cover! I absolutely love the Jimi Hendrix tribute album. Thank you for recording and posting this live version.
M.A.C.C I bought the Stone Free Hendrix tribute on cassette bk in the day & couldn't wait to hear their rendition of Jimi's Hey Baby. Man I was blown away....
That's exactly what it is. It's M.A.C.C. w/Stone Gossard. Temple of the dog was a different side project that included Eddie Vedder.....

Juicicles Chris has known Vedder’s band longer than Vedder has known Vedder’s band

One can hear the foundation of Fell on Black Days in the chorus. Great vocals by Cornell and the album version the guitar is fantastic.
He looks happy here.

FAR OUT !!!!
I've never been. ( S.F. Cal)
They should have let Jeff in a little bit. The bass in this song is important too. Lol
Complete sexiness!!
So difficult to cover Jimi Hendrix.
Got a ticket to Randy Hansen. I'm still waiting cause of COVID.

I give em an A for even attempting such a masterpiece. Good try guys!

I love Chris but he he does not the cosmic energy for this Jimi Hendrix song. RIP Chris
Check out the actual recording, AMAZING song and performance by him and the others.
I'm not one for criticizing chris cornell but ur right. It's hard to capture jimi Hendrix energy.
Jimi without groove 🤣. Neither totally failed, neither good.
This is boring. I would rather watch grass grow.
Buzzweenie 2049 you should probably do that and stop talking so much
