I was a pharmacist and various managers would text and email me I never agreed to that, so ignored them. They would ask “ oh did you get my text/email?” And I would simply say “ yes I did” After a bunch of those they stopped.
I do encounter the fact nobody reads. At my work I mentioned I read and watch booktube rather than Married At First Sight. The look of utter incomprehension was wonderful. 😮
Yes to not being contacted on a Saturday! I am shoving the audio version of Moguls onto my wish list of books to get at some point. I believe it was Louis B. Mayer, who referred to Nick Schenk and Mr. Skunk. It should be an interesting read, I think.
Gertrude Bell! no well-known women explorers?! Hmm. Am surprised that the Schenk bros pub sheet doesn't mention Buster Keaton as a major person in their circle of influence.
My feeling is that you are free to send me an e-mail at any time. And I'll respond during my working hours. And likewise, I send e-mails whenever the mood takes me. But I only expect a reply at your convenience.
I just love you Steve - you’re such a tonic.

Loved the preamble to the mail. Enjoyed hearing about you standing your ground on outside of business hours emails.

Good morning Steve. I am first here. I am sorry that you have it wrong. I do read for pleasure. I do read as a hobby and I enjoy it.
To clarify, are you saying you don't allow your writing to be edited?
I'm just fine with edits - it's the editor's show, after all! What I'm not fine with is tutorial guidance offered with an encouraging pat on the head!
