Wow thanks for this video clip. I have been reading about this mower for a few weeks now and your film has convinced me this is the right mower for my property.
Cheers, exactly the video I needed. I’ve got an acre of goat land with a couple of about 35 degree areas. It’s good to be able to see the mower is capable of doing what the dealer said it could before I purchase. The mower is well priced but is still a significant purchase.
Looks amazing. I believe EGO is doing something similar with their updated Z6 zero turn coming in 2023. They both using steering wheels though. Maybe EGO will offer a lap bar version. That would be a game changer!
It turns out the steering wheel on the Ego mower only controls the back wheels, not the front. The front wheels are free spinning castors. So this mower behaves pretty well exactly the same way as an Ego zero turn mower because this is what it is.
The mulching plug is a nightmare to install on this thing. If you can make a video tutorial i'm totally up for it, and it looks like i'm not the only one to find it absolutly terrible. Nice video thought !
@@michaelsutherland9069 yes its definitely tricky had to get myself unstuck a couple of times because the frame sticking out so far but once I got used to it it's ok
Have you used any of the other cub cadet models with the steering wheel ?I have bigger model that has the steering wheel and have trouble with the front grip while on slopes.i lowered the air psi that helps but dosent fix the problem.
Yes, we have used them all. The only time we have seen this is when the tracking was slightly out on the front wheels. It made the mower drag to one side even when going up and down the slope and loading on ramps. Might be worth checking 👍🏼
Nice review Josh, a friend of mine cuts yards and has 2 of the Cub Cadet steering wheel models, he swears he'll never go back to stick again, raves about them. 👍🏼 You know James has you and Ryan do these reviews just so someone else mows his garden right?? 🤣🤣
We generally find once people use the steering wheel zeroturns, they don’t go back to stick steers. John I have no idea what you mean, James let’s us do these out of pure love 😂😂
@@MachineryNation ya for both really john deere do a very deep deck on there z540 48inch high capacity deck it better for mulching our grass and for side discharge more air flow alot of the american brands dont do deep enough decks for us here i use john deere here in ireland because of the deep decks
Brakes? Use a lever, for the brakes? Or I missed something, not thrilled, it's not as big as it looks on the video either, looks like a riding lawn mower.
A zero turn machine, of any kind is absolutely stupid. Yes it might be more comfortable for ppl not used to running a machine where you control movement independently each side. But movement is much more precise when operator has precise control over the wheels/ tracks on.each side independently
1) 10 points for not being made by the CCP. 2) I wouldn't use the word Tractor in relation to these small machines. Real tractors have PTO's and 3 point linkages. And Rops. And are green. And named Deutz. 3) Which a one is a man with beard ? Manuell - Fawlty Towers. 4) Whose castle is this ?
Just because you have a beard doesn't make you an authority on mowers. My wife does like sticks she loves the steering wheel. Only thing I personally don't like about this mowers they don't have a floating deck unlike my sc2400 yanmar with I might add has front and rear pto three point hitch and is just a powerhouse! You can have your green machine which rates right up there with a John Deere which is also a piece of garbage!
@@Cowboy1957 1) I don't have a beard. 2) What your wife prefers to stick in herself is none of my business. 3) You said Deutz is garbage. I let your comment stand for all to see. Thank you.
This is the kind of real world videos I like where he goes over rough terrain and not a smooth golf course like lawn.

Excellent video. Impressive display of the hill climbing ability.
Absolutely stellar video you have put together. Thank you so much for the slope demonstration!
It will do everything he said engineered well and tough.Have mowed with one for 11 years.
Great job showing and telling, keep up the good work see on the next one have a great day see ya bye.
Looks like an interesting mower! I’m still used to the standard zero turn but this looks pretty cool.
Yeah the standard ones are great, which brand do you have Brett?

Thank you Cub Cadet UK 🥳🤩
I got one a couple of months ago and I love this thing
have you used it on slopes? my back yard has some slopes up to 27-29 degrees and im very curious

Looks ace and does the job well. Great for vid
Thanks Neil 😎
😂😂😂Hastler all day every day thanks for the add lads😅
I wish the version sold near me had the Kawasaki engine, but the Kohler is a decent one.
Have a rather wet mossy lawn …. Will it cope OK ?
I would like to see a review of Husqvarna R420TSX AWD if possible
What about ease of cleaning and maintenance of the deck.
Could a ROPS/ roll bar be fitted to this mower?
Real life testing there! Thanks for the video

Forward speed? reverse speed?
Plenty quick enough in both 👍🏼
