I love my brand new ZT2 50". I don't need to cut on any severe slopes, so no need for the steering wheel, but happy to have joined the Cub Cadet family. I'm completely thrilled with the performance of my new mower so far. I anticipate many years of lawn mowing satisfaction.
I have an old 90cm cut Raleigh standard ride on that is starting to show its age, so was looking at a new mower, and since I was going to spend some decent $ I was looking at Zero Turn setups and was very impressed with the reviews of Cub Cadet mowers. I was looking at the 42" ZT1, but the local dealer did not have one, so I test drove the 46" ZTS1 for a whole 5 minutes. My new 46" ZTS1 arrives tomorrow
Just bought this ZTS1 46” and really great machine. The only problem I am finding is that when travelling over some bumps the seat sensor kicks in and turns the blades off. Anyone else having this problem? My dealer says he can’t do anything about it. Any ideas as I do not want to bypass the sensor.
Same. 40 years of mowing, this is the best mower for 2 acres of slopes. It just sticks and my butt never puckers. First time mowing with my ZTS2 54 and I had the blades turn off 5 or 6 times. This is a LOUD machine so I have my ear buds in. Detecting the difference in vibrations, from when I slightly lifted my rear up to go over the bump and placing my rear back down, to detecting the blade have stoped, takes my brain about 5 seconds. In that time, I’ve traveled 30 feet. I then have to back up and remow. The seat sensor on is too sensitive. I am about to disable. I only have 3 hours on my mower so I will give it a little more time.
@@andrewkirkpatrick8517 Hi Andrew. My dealer put a spacer between the seat and the sensor to give it more play and it seems to have worked. Haven’t had a problem since.
Where is the parking brake? I need the parking brake on my husky lawn tractor to handle several pretty steep drop off in my yard and I'd be afraid to mow those sections without a usable brake.

Mine is 30 hrs old and have just had catastrophic engine failure.
Still under warranty so hoping for cub cadet Australia to look after me.

I have Hill but also some soft ground in places. Would this be a good machine for me?
The zts2 has 12 inch rear tires. They will handle soft ground better than most machines with narrower wheels.
What Engine is that .. Kohler ?? & Are those Hydrogear Transmissions 2200 or 2800 ??

Bypass that silly switch on the seat. I've done it first thing with every machine I've owned.

3 month warranty for commercial users is a bit pathetic. Doesn’t seem like they have much faith in it. The warranty should be hours based.
