    What a hell of a nice guy to take the skid steer off his hands to help a friend out and then problems came up good luck on the repairs.

    Well sir, I wish the best for your friend, pray that everything goes well for him. I get the repair your yourself or keep the machines/ jobs going and farm out the repair work, its definitely a catch 22, but I guess its a circumstantial/ situational issue when you come right down to it, dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t sometimes. Helping your friend out, that good deed will be returned to you sometime down the road. Thanks for the update.

    Seems it always goes sideways when ya try to help a guy out, in the long run you will come out on top. Ain’t none of the equipment cheap, don’t matter the brand. I bet you will get it sorted out and it will make you a good machine.

      Yeah, you’d think I’d learn after all these years!🤦‍♂️ You’re right on nothing being cheap for sure. I think I’m about to get it lined out. I have a solenoid that’s giving me fits so I need to change it one of these days. I have a couple cylinders that need repacking and the quick attach needs new pins and bushings. I’ll eventually get it lined out. Thanks!

    What would have been you first choice for a skid steer? And what attachments are you looking to get? I’m sure your going to get a Harley rake.

      I like the Taks, but I have a buddy that bought a brand new TL10 and the engine blew up at a little over 300 hours. So far the dealer can't get a new engine for it, guess they're on back order.
      He bought a brand new Tak TB290 at the same time and it keeps overheating and they dont know why. So, not sure about the Tak's right now.
      I actually like the Bobcat, but I think the engineering is a little more complicated than need be.
      I ran a Cat and liked it ok as well.
      Yes, power rake, brush hog, grapple and pallet forks. Thanks buddy!

      @@Dirtdaddy953 man that’s not what I wanted to hear about the taks! I’d like to get a tl10 or a 12 myself in the next couple of years. I have a bobcat 753 and I’m not impressed with the actuators for the spool valves for the boom and bucket. It is so damn touchy. But I would like to try out a Hyundai skid steer and see how they are.

    Hope it's not as simple as the suction control valves and high pressure safety, alot of extra work if it is

    • @Dirtdaddy953
      @Dirtdaddy953  Рік тому

      Yeah, that’s why I pulled the injectors to have them checked. They all pretty much failed spec. Apparently, this era Delphi fuel system is notorious for injector failures.
      I appreciate your comment, thanks!

    • @leonardbalicki15
      @leonardbalicki15 Рік тому

      @Dirtdaddy953 I'm more familiar with deeres. The suction control valve on the high pressure rail sticks wide open which blows the pressure relief on the rail dumping fuel back to tank. Makes it smoke like crazy

    • @Dirtdaddy953
      @Dirtdaddy953  Рік тому

      Ah! Well, I appreciate that! These are bad about wiping the injectors out so thats where my research told me to go....so guess it worked out. Thanks!

    I rmbr the did it guy pulled the returns placing a rag under and he was able to look at output determining cyl 1&2 injectors were bad. Would that be a test we should do?

    • @Dirtdaddy953
      @Dirtdaddy953  4 місяці тому

      It kind of depends on your situation. I have an injector shop close by so I pulled them and had them checked under actual pressure. Two of the four failed and the other two were borderline. I just changed them all.

    Bobcat has no mercy on their prices on parts. If you bought a skidsteer in parts and assembled it yourself, it would cost $10 million. Lol
