    Pretty snazzy torque wrench, with the "approaching" indicator lights and the green "you're there" indicator lights. 👍

    i yearn for the day a company rises from the ashed and makes actually long lasting, modular easy to work on equipment, they will rise so damn fast.

    Just my two cents.. maybe just set the camera somewhere so you don’t have to hold it and Timelapse / speed up the part of the job that you can’t hold the camera vs. just cutting it out, would be cool to see more of the repair.

    Had to check out your channel after seeing your Penn State Pullers hoodie on Diesel Creek and was like I know Sam. We had classes together in AG Engineering.

    I too am here as a result of Matt's recommendation. That is one beautiful Louisville that you used to haul Matt's new Cat dozer. How is it that you can drive a truck and trailer of that size without any DOT numbers or identification? Just curious.

    What were your symptoms just slight misfire? Any smoking? I have a 289D and as it’s warming up sometimes I notice a little stumble but at times when under higher throttle fully hot, it will smoke faint white hot smelling for a few minutes then clear. No loss of any coolant or oil, so I’m thinking an injector is starting to freak out.

    • @ScrappyIndustries
      @ScrappyIndustries  Рік тому

      It was mainly just an intermittent misfire- especially when cold. I was afraid of hurting the DPF as you have to remove the engine to replace it on these....

    How did you diagnose your problems to be sure that it was an injector issue ?

  • @rossh1152
    @rossh1152 5 днів тому

    Did you have any diesel dilution in your oil ? I have the same machine 1600 hours and my lab result said I had a lot of diesel in my oil. Engine runs well though

    Thank you for this video. I’m working on a kubota ssv 75 and I am frustrated with the way they put every cooler possible above the engine, and then put a leaky hydraulic fan in between.
    If anyone has done this on one of these, I’d love some wisdom on wether I really have to work out of this 5 inch space or if I should just pull the whole cooling module.

    • @ScrappyIndustries
      @ScrappyIndustries  Рік тому

      Hmm yeah I can’t really offer any great advice there sorry. You don’t need a ton of room over the engine but you definitely need some. I’d probably start pulling coolers

    How were you able to get your hands on the cat et software? I have a lot of machines and calling cat to diagnose is too expensive

    • @ScrappyIndustries
      @ScrappyIndustries  Рік тому +2

      You can pay for it from cat-I’m not sure what the cost is. I borrowed it from a friend who is a lot more of a mechanic than I
