I think these kinds interviews where they (playfully) go at each other are quite entertaining, actually. You don't really see that much on other shows. I thought this went fine (and I'm saying this as someone who doesn't really like political comedy).

He probably sees little to no value in *constant* chit-chat, and prefers to talk about more serious issues. If the issues aren't going to be talked about in honesty, he'd rather not have the conversation at all.
I don't think he cares how many wives someone has per say. He cares, like me and many others about hypocrisy. Conservatives shove traditional values down our throat but they do whatever they please. I say live and let live and let s all be good citizens.
