I love the look on Bill's face just before Craig makes his "argument" for religion....just a wee bit nervous because he knows Craig's got the smarts. Adds to the fun of Bill's face after Craig makes his "argument". LOVE these two!
It's kind of funny watching Bill on other peoples' shows. It's kind of obvious that he doesn't like not being in charge. I also think he gets kind of pissy when other people are being funnier than him.
i think Bill has pretty good views on religion, just think how rediculus greek mythology is to us or how crazy the Ancient Egyptians religion was, thats how people are going to think about Christianity thousands of years from now, if we are still around.
+Sami Elkhayri It's a figure of speech. Just like when you say 'Bless you!' after someone sneezes. You don't actually try to cleanse the persons soul from demons that cause diseases. You just say it because everyone else is saying it...
Bill and Craig are among my fav people, but there is not much chemistry for sure. I think Craig is trying hard to make sure Bill doesn't say anything too offensive for his audience, and Bill is like just "acting" like in his show. At least Bill feels at home but... well... this is more a comedy show than his, and it is kind of belong to Craig. In short, even if he hates "losing" his freedom of speech and because you are a guest doesn't mean there is no bound of reason on what you can say.
It's because the last time Bill got kicked off the show and I think he's probably the only one to get kicked off in Craigs history, but Bills just not meant for public television. He's just not lol.
This interview really makes me think of a line I heard from Jim Jefferies. "There's nothing wrong with being stupid: I'll take a nice idiot over a smart asshole any day." Watching this kind of makes me not feel so bad for Bill when Howard Stern grilled him over 9/11.
I'm equally against religion as BM. But if we label all religious people "extremist" just because they believe in something supernatural, what are we going to label the real extremists? How are we going to distinguish? There certainly is a qualitative distinction between a lukewarm Sunday church goer who goes to confession because he's told so and a fanatic who orders people to be burnt alive. BM makes the distinction himself when he compares Islam with other religions.
Yeah.... I thought these guys would have a hoot together, but man can you be wrong sometimes. I guess Bill finds Craig too safe and 'on the fence' about stuff. You can kinda tell it's frustrating him a bit. And Craig finds Bill a bit controversial for the sake of it. Pity.
@superfob54 I doubt Maher is that petty. The man is an adult. The awkwardness here could be an act (Ferguson has actually said on several occasions that he likes to end interviews awkwardly, and forces it there at times). If it was any real tension it would be the fact that Maher connoted that marriage, in general, is foolish to a man who is (apparently) happily married. That could explain his nerves later in the interview.
Bill Maher's usually a fairly nice guy. There's a reason why he seems condescending here. In a past interview, Craig cut Bill off because Bill was saying something Craig considered "offensive." If there's one thing Bill doesn't like, it's when people don't speak their mind. If there's one thing Bill probably HATES, it's when other people try to take away his right to speak his mind. So, Bill probably got a little irked that Craig cut him off during a past interview.
This didn't age well now, did it. None of the things mentioned in this video clip will make a difference. Not one thing, I don't care what it is, will ever match what you put my son through. NOTHING! EVER! Don't even bother. Nothing or no one on this planet will match my son's abuse. I will take it ALL. And I mean ALL!

They are as different as night and day, two totally different styles put together that just makes for HILARIOUS comedy
3:47 Great response
These two make a great team, it's like Gleason and Carney.
Hi Craig, my son's Scottish cousin. He is a quarter Scottish.
Bill is real and people hate that about him but I love it keep finding the facts Bill facts don't lie
I love Bill Maher and he is so funny and smart, I may not agree with some of the things he says.
i like this guy!

true as fuck. plus he's an asshole, i mean i love him, but you have to admit he's an asshole
Both are great minds.

it's partly because Bill thought there were gonna be 2 segments, like it was the last time he was on.
he is on Indian sights bill !
They're both better hosts than guests.
This guy is so annoying in his fanaticism that he put a bad light on atheism.
#6:05: Does he really say I swear to God? I thought he didn't believe in God.

i agree with you.
Freemason salute with freemason Bill Maher? you too Craig? that broke my heart
Is Bill Maher's production company still called, "Kid Love Productions"?

I love Craig's religious argument lol at maher he needs to chill in fergusons show. Just take a chill pill

Hi babes
Love both guys but that was about the crappiest interview I've ever seen.
i cant blame for cuttin off maher at times, he is from scotland and europeans tend to be more cautious about religion, race issues
Really?? Not Europeans from the continent. (Greetings from across 11 years!)
The crowd is too stuck-up to laugh at bill's jokes.
Bill Maher is a bitter, bitter man...

but with a really good sense of humor.
