Thanks for watching this suggestion. Although it looks like a new song from previous album and we only got this proshot version from 2021, song it's actually from Metal Resistance released in 2016 and becomes one of the underrated tracks but hidden gem for some more fans.
This song was performed along with Syncopation in the middle of setlist during Doomsday III and IV, it got that epic and ethereal vibes and it shows a mature side in BM second album, Metal Resistance. Both songs are part of that album, only thing is FDTD was released for international market and Syncopation only locally, of course is another suggestion for next reaction.
This is a long time waited proshot version for the fans, song was pushed to be performed again after many years and being played only one time at Hollywood Paladium in 2017 while on US tour when YuiMetal was still in the group, sadly for copyright disputes that proshot version never saw the light and we only have fancams of that.
Thankfully they performed this twice in 2021 at 10 Babymetal Years Budokan, and surprised everyone with this astonishing and beautiful production. Momoko Okazaki (now MomoMetal) was the avenger helping to fill the third spot and she did a great job.
Also the English lyrics is a little bit more clear thanks to Papa Xan from BMRR although this one is a fan edit with another English translation, but we don't have official lyrics yet, is one out of four songs with full English lyrics. Like someone said before, MoaMetal is like a body subtitles for this song.
Love that dubstep or brostep breakdown, is a genre widely know and popular around 2015 thanks to Skrillex among others, he actually become very good friend with BM and even invite them to perform during a Skrillex show in Japan playing a remix version of Gimme Chocolate!!
There are some more highlights on this Budokan 2021 shows but I'm gonna leave those details for later reactions.

I love this meditative song. The instrument of SU-METAL's voice sounds heavenly.
I think it was TWO YEARS before I realized that Su-metal was actually singing in the beginning of this song! I originally thought it was a synth instrument being played! It wasn't until a reactor watched a subtitled video like this one that I figured out it was actually her singing! LOL!🤘🦊🤘

Great reaction. The subtitles give a close approximation of the lyrics in this one - the lyrics have never been published, but yes it is all in English. They had only played it live once after the album was released, that was at the Hollywood Palladium in 2017 and the only videos from that show are fancams.
They finally played it again at two of these Budokan shows in 2021 and we finally got the pro-shot video and clearer audio to try to work out what the lyrics really are.
FDTD was on the second album, released in 2016 - but it was only on the international release. The Japanese edition had 'Syncopation' instead - a very different but equally great song.
You are right about everybody involved with BABYMETAL being on top of their game and making their concerts a whole experience from the stage design and builders, the lighting guys, the audio guys and then the Kami Band and of course the girls themselves.
Even if they are only meant as an approximation, starting with „And only way“ bugs me. Japanese artists don‘t always use perfect English, but they are not stupid. I have no idea what she is singing, but certainly not that. Why would one create subtitles when they don‘t know the lyrics?
@@MacTaipan I'm guessing they just copied one of the early guesses - the reactor resource video is probably the closest to what the lyrics really are (so far)

Su-Metal has a five octave vocal range which enables her to sing in a very low register as well as extremely high vocals
Probably my second favorite BM song ever, at least until now 🦊🤘🏼
The stage and lighting for this performance are fantastic. And of course, Su-Metal is amazing. And I love the duet part with Moa and Su, I wish they would do more of that especially with Momometal in the group now.
FDTD for me is an artistry masterpiece. The mixing of this song together with Su-Metal synthesised vocals create a twilight zone atmosphere like it's coming from outer space 🚀. "FDTD" is exclusively available for the International audience and the Japanese audience got "Syncopation".
International Edition got From Dusk Till Dawn from the Babymetal Metal Resistance Album. Japanese Exclusive got "Syncopation". Easily one of my favourite. For FDTD its more futuristic synthesis, that's how I feel. Su-Metal voice is this masterpiece is more operatic. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬

One of my top 3 Babymetal songs! Glad you enjoyed it! Every Babymetal show is planned and executed in perfection and the 10 Babymetal Budokan shows were no different. Not a single detail is left out and as you’ve seen everything is impeccable. Su’s English skills (and Moas for that matter) have improved so much over the years due to their hard work and effort which I respect so much. Kitsune up po! 🤘🦊🔥

Nice! FDTD is just an awesome masterpiece all around! Literally, the entirety of this performance takes you on a descent into the dark despair of night (Su's vocals gradually deepens, lighting gradually darkens, song remains in minor key), until it hits the chaotic breakdown, giving you a feeling of sad anxiety...
THEN, immediate shift into major key, Su's vocals intensifies, and lighting shifts from dark and gloomy to warm and glowing. It immediately gives you the feeling of stepping from darkness into the sun....
The title didn't lie: From Dusk Till Dawn, lol. Epic, truly epic! 🦊🤘

Finally got to see them live Tuesday night in Nashville. My only complaint was I wanted MORE. Simply an amazimg.luve show. Will see them again at Louder than Life on the 23rd 🤘🦊🤘
Great! Was this your first time seeing them… ok I guess so since I notice now you started with “finally.” I saw them for the first time myself recently too.. I pretty much knew their stage time would be somewhere close to an hour… so no disappointment from me over that. I wonder though, now that they’re back to being three if they’ll do (or if the Fox God composes some new) Black Babymetal songs so that Su, Moa and Momo can have a rest and play a few more songs. Anyway, 🤘🦊🤘
@@kevinhiggins7838 yeah, I knew the set list already and was prepared, just left wanting more. Would've rather had Maya but pleasantly surprised to get Believing. Louder than Life set will probably only be 8 songs but won't complain about seeing them twice in a month 😁

@@kevinhiggins7838 yeah, lots of songs I would love to see. A bit surprised they only play 2 from The Other One...Monochrome and they seem to be rotating a new one in every 2 shows. IDZ is a banger....really wanted Metal Kingdom, Devine Attack from this album. Hate that Syncopation and YAVA dont make it to the US.

I think it's time for you to experience what is known as "Trilogy of Lights" which is "Starlight", "Shine", and "Arkadia"...in that order and preferably the live performances (not the Starlight music video)! I also suggest that you watch them back to back in the same sitting to get the full effect of the trilogy, but upload as 3 separate reactions.🤘🦊🤘

@@darklitereactions32 I completely agree with this request. Make sure you find the version of starlight with the intro. It's everything I expect my first concert in heaven will be. Just when you get all in your feels, the Kami band smacks you right in the face. Anthony straight up murdering the drums while Su is purely angelic.

the girls and the kamis are top musicans...but the hole composition of the live shows makes it to a form of art. Babymetal have been trying to achieve and maintain this high standard since they were founded. The girls (since childhood), the kamis and everyone else involved are high-end professionals. and it's always an experience to watch them. and all of this with about 100 babymetal songs...including songs, different versions of main album tracks, kami band performances without SU, MOA or YUI, colabs and coves, official instrumentals, featured in the music video for different musicians. etc,
Gonna PLEASE shrink size of your box. Get it might be for copyright but you are pausing and backing up enough to show you are not stealing it. You are critiquing it. Usually if blocked it will be released after 48hrs. At least put it top Left.
I will Take that into consideration in the future. I am still new to baby metal reactions and just want to make sure I respect the copyright guidelines.
Great visuals & instrumentation, but the vocals just aren't my thing.
