⚡ 💀 💕 / 🌅 I agree. People that know about Su's singing, know. A lot of folks still don't. I was at the June 16th, 2017 Hollywood Palladium concert where this song had its live premiere. More importantly, also in the audience that night were Su's Mom and Dad. Apparently there were rights issues that prevented the pro-shot footage from the Palladium concert from being released. It wasn't until February 2021 that they performed the song again. The ten Budokan 2021 concerts (January to April) were their most recent shows, and the only performances that year. They took the song to an entirely different level. Wish I had been there for either of those two shows where they brought it back. 'From Dusk Till Dawn' was on the international edition of the second album, 'Metal Resistance'. The domestic (Japanese) edition had 'Syncopation' instead.
This is next level!... Su, Moa, Momoko, and the Kami's all on fire... The staging... The lighting... Just everything! Absolutely love this performance of FDTD. Thank you for the reaction. 🦊🤘🔥🖤
Good one - this was from the Metal Resistance album, but it was only on the international release. The Japanese release had 'Syncopation' instead. Until the Budokan shows last year this song had only ever been played live once - that was in the US at the Palladium in Los Angeles in 2017 I think and there was no official video from that performance for all sorts of complicated rights reasons, so all we had by way of live video were the many fan cams. Oimatsu0531 put a compilation of the best of those together and did a great job rebalancing the audio from the best of them too. When the fans were voting for the 10 best songs for the 10th anniversary album there was a campaign for 'From Dusk Till Dawn' to be voted up ... the two live performances at the Budokan were a direct result of that and we finally got the pro-shot live performance video we had all been wanting for so long - and the staging, as you said, was extraordinary. It would be great if there are more BABYMETAL songs you haven't heard for more reactions ... or even performances of some you do know that you haven't seen,
You know, whole Babymetal idea was built based on Su unique vocal and her way of singing, that juxtaposition with heavy music magically, and beside her outstanding stage presence, she can also bring out audience emotion with that voice too
Great & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。As Rick Wagner commented below, only a limited number of people on June 16, 2017 in Hollywood had been privileged to experience this song for 4 years. On February 16 last year, when the intro started, everyone at Budokan was firstly shocked and gradually god excited understanding what was going to happen. At the end of the song, however, everyone got confused with what he / she witnessed because it was too surprising and mesmerizing. On the following day (Feb.17), the audiences came to the venue expecting the setlist would remain the same and FDTD would be played again. Once this song started many of them (including me) just stared at the stage without moving as if they were trying to burn the performance into their retinas. Su-Metal did it perfectly. "In the air !" Divine voice. And Moa and Momoko did perfect choreo like angels smoothly dancing around the goddess. Oh! I actually saw and listened to it twice for sure, but still "was it real?" (Even after reconfirmed it in Blu-ray video)
Great reaction and FDTD is from the Metal Resistance album. This was from one of the 10 sold out shows at Bukokan back in Feb/Mar 2021. Because of virus restrictions at the time, only half the capacity was allowed (about 11K) - 2K normal) and no cheering allowed only applause. They shows in Japan are unbelievable.
The first time i heard this song when Su hits that high note tears of joy welded up in me and the vocal harmonies from Moa ( and Yui at Palladium ) just complimented the whole thing . Absolutely love the whole vibe of FDTD 🤘🦊🤘
i have been a Babymetal fan for a long time and i have come to a conclusion. recently i have found a few other Japanese bands i love but you were asking why Babymetal is so much better than others. in my opinion the answer is this. like Lovebites, who i also love because of the music. they are so good musically but in other things not. Babymetal does not do concerts. they are an experience when you see them live. that to me is the difference. Lovebites is good and i would love to see them live but they do not have the experience factor like Babymetal. the crowds. the lighting. the music. the band. the girls. the choreography. the presence. the stage. the people behind Babymetal. of course i am bias towards Babymetal but i appreciate other bands for what they are. maybe some are better musically but overall to me that is where Babymetal shines. you have so many pieces coming together to make an unbelievable experience. first time i heard this i didnt know what to think but live it just is a masterpiece, like a couple other reactors have called this song.
Nice one, thanks! I agree. Their live shows are something else. Su-metal's vocals are on another level. And they absolutely know what are they doing after 10+ years performing professionally.
Awesome reaction my brother, this is one of my favorite BABYMETAL songs if not my favorite! Su has such an amazing voice and is probably one of the top singers in heavy-metal today!
Glad you're back to listen more BabyMetal. I think I saw you at Dicodec channel recently, anyway despite you already know BabyMetal songs don't be afraid to check it out newer versions you will always find something different or new to enjoy on their live performances, to help you with that you got Babymetal Reactor Resource channel, i think you already know the channel probably, you can use the watermarked logo clips to avoid copyright troubles. This song is from their 2nd album in 2016 when YuiMetal was still around, in fact they performed this one time live at Hollywood Palladium 2017 when they were on US tour, but the proshot version never came out due to a copyright stuff, there are only fancam clips, they didn't played this song a lot but become one of the fan favorites I guess because it sounds really unique and more mature sound unlike the rest of the song on that album. The song came out on the international album version only while in Japan they release Syncopation, but i think fans love both songs with their own different style, both are enjoyable but Syncopation was the most played on live performances among both. But fortunately in 2021 celebrating their 10 Years and after ranking up fans pools this song was performed for everyone happiness. As you saw is one of the very few songs with full english lyrics, although we don't have official lyrics and when this came out, we needed to guess half of the lyrics, but thankfully the new 2021 live performance sounds more clear and the lyrics transcription are more accurated. MoaMetal is the angel of love and don't worry to become a MoaMetal's simp, she loves everyone and she would marry with you if she could, welcome. The other one here filling the third spot is Momoko Okazaki, a former Sakura Gakuin member and talented superlady, just like the rest of the girls and BabyMetal of course. Btw have you watched MoaMetal's 20th birthday live concert called Legend M: Beyond The Moon? You will find very special live performance there such MoaBanger (MoaMetal Headbanger! version) and Shine, part of The Trilogy Of Lights. Hope to see you soon with more BM songs. Kitsune up 🦊🤘

this could be movie soundtrack. in end credits and slo-mo action scenes
New here. I know I am paraphrasing a little on your comments below. “I don’t listen to BabyMetal enough” “Man Su is so good. I know she gets credit within the community but she is so good”. If someone wonders why BabyMetal is the most popular J-Rock group THIS is why”. I love it when I see someone that understands and appreciates what they are witnessing. Great reaction.
hearing this performance for the first time, knowing the original recording this is definately different from the audio version and i actually like it better (like a lot of other live song by them)
Nice reaction. This song is a marvel of engineering. The balance and tones that Su to hits is blended so well it is hard to tell she started singing. Voice as an instrument. IMO Su and Moa were born to be on stage. If you want to listen to more Moa by herself. She did GJ which is normally a duo with her and Yui. But when Yui left she did it solo a few times. I forget which festival it is but there's a good video of Moa doing it from one of them. For Su getting another chance to impress check out Amore. Babymetal can do it all. They should get more credit than they do. Su and Moa's talent is amazing and over 10 years they have developed crazy skills to go with it.
If you never heard Moa sing alone, it would mean you are missing several songs from their latest album! She kinda does a big solo part in both "Da Da Dance" and "NIght Night Burn"! And as nothsor mentioned, you are missing "Moabanger" and probably also "Love Machine"! Su always was comfortable on stage, and she didn't know what it means to be nervous! Ayami was asked to tell one memorable Karen Girl's episode, and she mentioned a Su-chan trivia in their Saitama Super Arena. Back then the three were elementary schoolers and had not performed in front of huge audience like > 20k. Ayami and Yuika were kind of nervous under that circumstance. With that said, Su-chan was the one sleeping like a log at their dressing room until an hour before they went on the stage.
I've watched your Band Maid reaction videos a lot, but it's rare to watch that you pick BABYMETAL up, right? You finally done it, haha. But you choose this song above all others, it's mysterious song of theirs? Not many times they performed it live. The lyrics have not been officially released. The tune is, as you say, progressive or nu-metal... I am not sure if BM's live shows are like BTS, because I have never seen it. But I'm sure BM spends a lot of money anyway. They have a complete division of labor. Of course, the project was begun for the ladies, but they are performers in their production. Thank you from Japan.
yes MOA has a great singing voice hey champ if not yet checked out a song called love machine sang by MOA METAL and also a song called CHOCOTTO LOVE sang by YUI METAL back in the early days great performance by each of them c-ya
From Dusk Till Dawn :BABYMETAL / From "Metal Resistance" (second album, 2016) Music Composed & Arranged by YUYO YUPPE (YUPPEMETAL), Lyrics: KITSUNE of METAL GOD, KxBxMETAL, TMETAL Produced by KOBAMETAL (Kei Kobayashi) .
Great reaction ! As Rick Wagner mentioned the song was only performed live ones and that performance was stuck behind corporate copyright agreement (Babymetal was going to a live action series with Warner Bros. but they had creative differences). In Babymetal lore the number 44 has special meaning because of the song 4. So what did they do ? The second performance of the song at this Budokan venue was exactly 44 months after the first performance. That's the kind of attention to detail Babymetal puts into their whole presentation, etc. Many think the song was inspired by Bring Me The Horizon. Have you checked out/reacted to: Babymetal feature on the BMTH song Kingslayer ? Why are they popular ? Sure the big shows add something, but they couldn't do those big shows if they didn't have the budget aka need to be popular first. Babymetal live is best not just on the big stage, but small stage too. Seeing them without all the show elements around them makes it very clear they can really deliver it live. You've seen some of the performances in Japan on big stages, please react to Babymetal Sonisphere, UK, 2014 live, just 7 people and their instruments, etc. on stage, no lighting, etc. This is why they are popular. What you said about their attitude on stage and nerves, the way I've always seen it: they really own the stage in a way I've never seen before. The stage is their home, as in: we are the guests. You have to remember for example Suzuka did her first child modeling at age 3 (!) so she is used to being in the spotlight, the center of attention. For Yui and Moa it was 6 or 7. Babymetal got started when they were 11 (Yui and Moa) and 12 (Suzuka). So Suzuka alone already had almost 10 years of experience before Babymetal. And it took Babymetal till 2014 to stand on stage with a bigger audience than Suzuka had already done at age 10 or 11. Here is a story of when she was in a previous group: "Back then the three were elementary schoolers and had not performed in front of huge audience like > 20k. Ayami and Yuika were kind of nervous under that circumstance. With that said, Su-chan was the one sleeping like a log at their dressing room until an hour before they went on the stage." Behind the scenes everything in Babymetal is build around the girls performing live on stage, so they can deliver the best show. From the little glimpses we've seen when they say something should be different they'll tell the staff and it's done. This was true even when they were still little teenagers. And that staff are the grown ups of course. But also everything points to that they aren't divas. They are grounded, who knows maybe because they also still go to/went to regular school in Japan (Moa should be graduating around this time, but we don't get to hear anything about such things normally, their private lives are private. If we ever hear something it's usually a leak by accident). Among the more experienced fans we know not to judge a song to much until we've seen a live performance because in the past we've add: "this is my least favorite Babymetal song" and after having seen it live: "it now my favorite Babymetal song ! How is this possible ?!" Moa being pretty ? Yeah, well... I actually warned the fellow fans of this years ago when she was still a kid, how a lot of the male fans might be infatuated with her when she grows up and how this might change the dynamics in Babymetal 'fan dom'. When Moa got started she won at age 8 the competition to be part of Amuse which had over 10 000 participating in this one big event. Her mom was almost part of the business but her strict father (so Moa's grandfather) didn't allow it. So these young ladies have some 'pedigree' in that regard. Luckily it never became a problem among fans, but dynamics have changed. If you want to see a different side of Babymetal on the small stage: please react to "BABYMETAL 2020 Oh! MAJINAI" on the channel: oimatsu0531.
Hey! I checked your page and there was Nezuko!!! LOLOLOL OMG Yui-chan is also cutie and when she was smol she was in box! LOL. Oh you have to check Suzuka' musical she was rat 🐭
From Dusk Till Dawn is a pretty typical track for Yuyoyuppe (the writer/producer). I actually started to follow Babymetal because of him, at the time I was pretty deep into Vocaloid and that's where he got his start. His first work with Babymetal was arranging Megitsune - and since he did brilliantly, he's been involved with them since. His personal style shows the most with Rondo Of Nightmare and From Dusk Till Dawn, two tracks that are quite reminiscent of his Vocaloid days.
Yui and Moa sang back up vocals on the studio track, and at the first live performance in 2017. Since the supporting dancers don't sing on BABYMETAL songs, Moa sang all of the backup vocals at the 2021 performances.
@@justinbowe38 And when did they confirm that? If you've got a link to a specific interview, I'd love to read it, but I don't recall anyone on the BABYMETAL team saying that about the Palladium performance.
From an interview: When it comes to BABYMETAL, we haven’t really changed fundamentally. After COVID, the only shows we did were the 10 Budokan concerts, and we strived to live up to the promise of being “stronger than ever” without compromising quality, in order to live up to the BABYMETAL name. Since COVID, most groups try to use minimalist stage sets and spend as little money as possible due to audience capacity limitations and the cost of safety measures. However, BABYMETAL did the opposite, and spent even more money on stages than before. If I were a customer, I would feel uncomfortable if the taste of my favorite ramen changed, or the portion size was cut in half. We didn’t want to betray the relationship and trust we’d built up with fans over the past 10 years, especially in a time of crisis like COVID where everyone had been affected negatively. As such, we decided to go above and beyond what we’d done before when it came to spending.
I also think their performances have grown with them. Sure, the shock factor has faded a bit now, but they make up for that perfectly with their presence and shows, which are very impressive. I'm very excited and curious if and how they will continue at some point. _____________________ 【 _Our rock never dies ever. Forever!_ 】- from BAND-MAID 'Manners' 🕊️
Maybe another reason they're so big is the pop idol company that _"manufactured"_ them has a big marketing team that plowed plenty of promotional money in, and overseas tours. Not hating, just sayin'.
That’s certainly not wrong today, their shows obviously have a huge budget. But it should also be noted that their popularity surged pretty much right from the beginning where they had no budget worth mentioning.
As Taipan said, they did not have money thrown at them at the start - the "pop idol company that "manufactured" them" is a talent agency and they had absolutely no confidence or expectations that this project (the vision of just one metalhead producer based on his seeing the potential of a small girl he had seen singing with her previous group and who the agency bosses thought must be mad) would be anything more than a short lived and failed experiment. They provided zero budget, but allowed him his pet project on the premise it would be self funding and that there was no financial risk to the agency. Only after they had proved themselves in small venues, shopping malls and the food court at a festival and unexpectedly started to gain an audience that nobody had any clue would exist when they started, did the agency begin to provide some funding, first for a live band to support them, and only after they became even more popular did they start to pay for overseas tours. So yes they have the big budget shows etc now - they started with borrowed clothes and worked hard to earn that backing.
This is such an underrated masterpiece. Everything Babymetal does in their shows is just next level, and always executed with perfection. Moa has an incredible singing voice too (as can be seen in Moabanger for her 20th birthday) but seems fine to be just the backup vocalist and main dancer, with the exception of the BlackBabymetal songs that she now performances on her own. Great reaction to another great Babymetal song.

With that said, Su-chan was the one sleeping like a log at their dressing room until an hour before they went on the stage."
Behind the scenes everything in Babymetal is build around the girls performing live on stage, so they can deliver the best show. How is this possible ?!"
Moa being pretty ?
Simply and absolutely, The Queen! No more words! Great react man. You need watch to MOAbanger!! See you in the next 🤟🏻🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥
Super!!! More by BABYMETAL
One of the couple BABYMETAL songs I normally skip, but it's actually pretty great.
Please react to Cold Sweat by Ghost Iris.... Amazing band

That was fucking moa! First time she sang on this song!
First time!? Had no idea but it was awesome to see!
Yui and Moa sang back up vocals on the studio track, and at the first live performance in 2017.
Since the supporting dancers don't sing on BABYMETAL songs, Moa sang all of the backup vocals at the 2021 performances.
@@rickwagner- that's partly false they didn't sing it live back then it was studio enhanced audio
@@rickwagner- they confirmed it was not sang live
Baller moves
The 1st two albums were awesome!
I also think their performances have grown with them. Sure, the shock factor has faded a bit now, but they make up for that perfectly with their presence and shows, which are very impressive. I'm very excited and curious if and how they will continue at some point.

BABYMETAL IS COMING BACK BROTHA!!!!
