Greetings from Bulgaria. Great reaction, don't regret any word that you say! There is a deep feelings and thoughts in this song. As a part of Nightwish army for over than 20 years, I like this reaction a lot!
If you are into things like ancestors and our place here on earth, I highly recommend Nightwish's latest single "Perfume of the Timeless". It will give you more food for thought and it has an amazing video.
Great reaction! I really appreciate your insights as a musician. Glad you caught the tribute to Metallica (so many reactors miss it and I don't understand how). That section was a small tribute to the evolution of music and features short excerpts from Dies Irae, Minuet in G major by Christian Petzold, Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565 by Johann Sebastian Bach and of course, Enter Sandman. Tuomas is a big fan of Metallica and it was him seeing a Metallica concert in the US as a teenager that first turned him on to metal music. He was doing a high school exchange program with a family in Michigan I believe and they took him to a Metallica concert and he was blown away by the music. We all owe a high debt to that family for introducing him to metal. I love that final orchestral section of the song. It feels like the soundtrack to a triumphant hero scene in a movie and I love how the bow in perfect time to the crescendo of the music. With the incredibly thoughtful words spoke by Mr. Richard Dawkins from his own writings on evolution which served as an inspiration, the whole song feels like a celebration of life. All life, not just human life. A gift we should cherish and not waste. When I saw them live in 2022 the end of the concert started with The Last Ride of the Day, Ghost Love Score, The Greatest Show on Earth, and the outro was the Ad Astra movement from All the Works of Nature Which Adorn the World. That song is a 30 minute orchestral piece in 8 movements. The last movement features a spoken word section form Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot that is also quite thought provoking and ends with Floor singing a beautiful choral piece. I think you would quite enjoy all of All the Works of Nature and especially Ad Astra. I have never left a concert so inspired and motivated to go live my best life.
There is a beautifully edited, fan made, Nightwish endorsed, video for All The works of Nature that Adorn the World. ua-cam.com/video/RnOdQ5WNZJk/v-deo.html Highly recommended, takes me back to when I was young listening to Beethoven's 6th symphony.
The title of the issue is taken from a 2009 book by evolutionary biologist and atheist writer Richard Dawkins, about the evidence for biological evolution. Dawkins also contributes to the album. Holopainen explained to HMV in March 2015: "I wrote him a letter a little over a year ago and explained what ideas we had for this album, mainly about evolution. Since one of the songs goes straight to one of his books, it felt like a perfect match to try and recite him on the album. A few weeks later, he sent me an email accepting the invitation." "Later in 2014, we recorded his parts at Hats Off Studios, Oxford. This is a huge honour for us, as Dawkins is one of our greatest heroes and his writings have been a huge inspiration for the album."
This got me thinking of a quote from the movie Crocodile Dundee that has stuck with me for a long time. “See those rocks? Been standing there for 600 million years. Still be there when you and I are gone. So arguing over who owns them is like two fleas arguing over who owns the dog they live on.”
Really liked the reaction 😊 And if you're getting permagoosebumbs from this one you have to hear Troy play the EBow instead of the pipes in Wembley version❤
Holy Shit .....Dude it's been a minute.....glad to see u back Don't worry about stopping bro . I agree about Floor & Marco , they sound like brother and sister .....I think this song is there best work together , both on top of there game
100 years or more from now, people will play or record this song as we now play Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, and others........also, Troy adds a 3rd voice to the harmonies.......you should go ahead and read Dr Richard Dawkins book, "The Greatest Show on Earth", whose works have been an inspiration to Tuomas; in fact, he is the "narrator", if you will, during the early part, and post performance spoken pieces.....
thanks great reaction...they have a new one out and its called Perfume of the timeless I think you will like that one too for it makes you think , have a nice day
The Enter Sandman Riff ended a mini history of music in there. There are a few easter eggs in this song. If there was no Metallica, there would be no Nightwish. He was going into science until he attended a Metallica concert with a host family during a student exchange trip. 😊
There were 3 singers singing this song - Troy was singing too for harmonization. And yes, there was a guitar riff from Metallica - Enter Sandman played by Emppu (BTW, James Hetfield from Metallica is a big fan of Nightwish). This should symbolize the culture/art/music evolution of the human population. You also can hear for example the Bach's fuga etc. there. This song and composition is very complex and all encompassing...
A tip from northern Germany. The Group Heilung. It is a Norwegian, Danish and German peoples combination. They celebrate rituals. Awesome. At Red rocks with native American (or better first nation). Or the new Masterpiece Perfume of the timeless from Nightwish.
People are amazed how well Marko ansd Floor sing together. They said the same about Marko and Tarja. Marko has sung with many bands in Europe as a featured guest and he won the Finnish Masked Singer competition. He always sounded great with whoever he was with. Marko is a genius with harmonies. He is the reason everyone sounds perfect with him. I believe he is a generational singer, and an argument could be made that he was Nightwish's best singer. Listen to "High Hopes" and "Phantom of the Opera" from the "End of an Era" concert in 2005. Listen to "The Islander" and then reflect on the range of things he can do.
Great video, Nightwish Army checking in and subscribed! As a fellow musician I can honestly say, Tool & Nightwish are the only 2 bands that hold my attention anymore. Being ADHD I get so bored with "radio song" Can't wait for more reactions. Ps. I don't mind how many times you stop and talk 👍 you always rewind so we can fall back in the groove.
Pause as much as you want sir,, we all saw beautiful masterpiece thousands of times. Love how they used the fireworks to give that Big Bang feel. The very beginning of the endlessness. This album is based on the book of dr. Dawkins (the narrator's voice) Yeah enter sandman, but guys at 29:00 it's???? BACH (evolution in music, Easter eggs hidden in the song) There is one more sir😉
Yes, I think this does provoke a reaction that is spiritual, whatever that means, because it introduces the enormity and the magnificence of everything, both in terms of deep space and deep time, - shows the little blip within that which is the human race - and that view is far more awe-inspiring than the rather parochial and trivial pictures of the universe which religions often come up with. Richard Dawkins' speech about the unborn multitudes is more shiver-inducing than any tale about something like a burning bush which I've ever encountered.
Welcome to nightwish... You must see next romanticide, storytime, ever dream.. After this, your are prepare to great show on earth and poet and the pendulum... EPIC 😉
Not new to Nightwish. Have already done all of those and they are in our Nightwish playlist. It has just been a while since I have visited with this wonderful band. Thanks for watching!
Welcome to our Swole Patrol family and our particular brand of crazy. My better half has taken a hiatus from doing this so I no longer have a filter lol. We encourage you to check out our playlists for other content and reactions. We also go live Wednesday night at 8 pm cen and Saturday night at 10 pm cen and we love chatting with our viewers and having a good time. We also have a discord where we have built quite the family. ❤😊Well spoken brother! You picked the right video. My home town Tampere😅. I remember this like yesterday. Although I usually do not remember what happened yesterday😅. Music has such a power and meaning when you have real artists instead of these mass produced short skirt "baby sheit metal" and what not. I think we have one of the worst periods globally which is very sad. Bands with real history, talent and substance are quite rear. Tuomas does not write songs he is a composer creating beautiful stories and taking us on a journey everytime. Best Regards from Finland❤😊😅
well yes,, welcome back, it has been a while. And yes they do "feel" the music and that "thing" Floor is doing is affectionately known as the "Dutch Windmill" LOL, and also in many of their videos Tuomas is headbanging as much as Floor ha. And yes, like you I love and admire Marco and won't apologize for it, and I know they got the bassist from Wintersun as his replacement and he's ok but he's no Marco and I've noticed a lot of new sets they minimize the songs they sang together and sometimes they'll add Troy in his place. I (and it's' ONLY my opinion) think since Marco left they've moved in a different direction, don't get me wrong I love Nightwish but the two newest albums (although good) which you'll have to determine aren't the old Nightwish which use to grab you by the shoulders and shake the hell out of you so at the end you have no words, where these new ones usually are not as awe-inspiring. Don't mean to upset anyone, just my opinion, still miss that dude.
Finally This is what music should be. Music for the ears, eyes, soul and mind. We are the universe made manifest. Here to help figure itself out. From the galaxies to the solar systems. you'll appreciate the direction of their last two albums... check out their (brand new) music vid, no Marco, but it's very thought provoking and just up your alley I reckon... We do miss Marco and will most likely keep missing him...
Yes, Tuomas' nod to the evolution of music. From Bach to Metallica. Don't sweat the yt ad. They do it on all the longer Nightwish songs. We all miss Marko. However, Nightwish goes forward and are still excellent. Especially live. Greetings and Love from Germany again 💚. Its been a while, but as i saw you did a reaction to Nightwish's TGSOE, i new its gonna be a special treat, and a emotional one. Kinda sad your beautyful swole-mate wasn't on your side. Of course personal life comes first..good for her to know when its time for a rest. Hope everything else is fine for you. I've told ya that i'm a dry alcoholic since 2010 and less than a year ago i was complainig bout smoking weed here in Germany is illegal. I guess you've heard it maybe allready, that since 1.April this year, it's LEGAL. Germany has really change the law. An adult is allowed to have 50 gram of MJ. And per household its allowed to home grow 3 plants of Ganja. My very first try of home growing is still in process. Harvest is bout in 5-6 weeks. Sorry, i drifted away a bit. And hey, its kinda strange, but you are indeed the only one that can stop the video that much without pissing me off, serious. I hardly can't stand reacters that pause to often, just to throw in some sugar coating and unnessesary sentences. Listening to you is so positive different and intressting comparing to others. Human Mankind is going down, every day a bit faster. Soon we're history, like the dinosours. They had their chance, but nature thought, nope, you've doomed to extinction. Mankind destroys the World we're living in instead of preserve it. We are superfluous and useless here. And some will be happy bout our demise, like the animals, the forrests, the rivers and oceans. We exterminate ourselfs, but we cannot destroy our mother earth. We damage her badly but she still has millions of years to go, and she will recover very quickly from us(who regress to Neandertaler, to cavemen's). She don't give a shit for us. So, that's all Folks Have a peaceful sunday, buddy and please, greetings to Jocelyn...stay safe
😄😙, THANK YOU. 😑 In the year 95 [...] if man is still Alive [...]* ? But, yes, WE WERE HERE!!! @@yerviniansamvel Hallo 😊. 😮 Did not know the band, history , "their history". Just rushed 🤯 through the Information Wiki (👎🤢) is providing. Ääh, i think, i need some time. Thank you 🤗 alex
Emppu's Metallica riff is more than just a shout out to the band, it's Tuomas' creativity in full effect. You actually touched on the lyric before and after the riff - Man, he took his time in the sun. Had a dream to understand a single grain of sand. Or, in other words........Enter Sandman.
it´s called "reaction video", not "watching video" ... so stop as much, talk as much as you want or need to, and keep on doing your stuff ! and stop apologizing for pausing ;)
Most all of us know the song inside and out. We're here to see your reaction/analyses and pausing to do so is part of it. Great job🤘🤘🤘
that's a great reaction, understanding the essence of the song
Enter Life. Enter Luca. Enter Ionia. Enter Ratkind. Enter Sandman. Emppu finally had a line!
It's impossible to go back to "regular" bands after seeing this live

This song is larger than life. Great reaction! I like your way of thinking. 🔥🤘
Tuomas said "This part needs a Theremin". Floor said "I am a Theremin!"
🤘🏽🔥🌶️ On Point Brother Great Reaction 👹💫🎉 From Italy 🇮🇹

Amazing reaction❤
This got me thinking of a quote from the movie Crocodile Dundee that has stuck with me for a long time.
“See those rocks? Been standing there for 600 million years. Still be there when you and I are gone. So arguing over who owns them is like two fleas arguing over who owns the dog they live on.”
Tuomas said that NW probably wouldn't have existed without Metallica, and that "One" is his all-time favorite metal song.
Nice resaction👍 And what did you say, "no interruptions today" Ha ha! It couldn't be otherwise, this song is too good for words🤘
Great reaction! I appreciate your profound knowing about us humans and your ability to view things at grandeur scale.
Really liked the reaction 😊 And if you're getting permagoosebumbs from this one you have to hear Troy play the EBow instead of the pipes in Wembley version❤

Maybe you should watch some of Crewish. The Nightwish crew did some songs during the Pandemic and they got all of the proceeds from that themselves.
The Enter Sandman Riff ended a mini history of music in there. There are a few easter eggs in this song.
If there was no Metallica, there would be no Nightwish.
He was going into science until he attended a Metallica concert with a host family during a student exchange trip. 😊
Great loss for the science community, we win :)
Nice reaction, 😀
🤘❤️🔥🤘Well done!
Sounds like you should do the new single Perfume of the timeless.
There were 3 singers singing this song - Troy was singing too for harmonization.

Fenomenal reaction... 🖤 You are a great human... Great song, no doubt... 😉
This is the best version of this song, the Wembley one is good but this one is their home territory so it's special🇬🇧
Both are so great. The beginning makes this version so special. The ending makes the other version special.

Enter Luca (not LUCA 😉). This was a very good analysis of this "song". Thank you! The song matches very well my own opinions too.
Last Universal Common Ancestor (LUCA) I understand it is the theorized beginning point of all current life.

🤗🍒🤘🏻 Great Job Swole and welcome to the Nightwish Family, Just a little less stops!?
Been covering Nightwish for a while now. There is an entire playlist for them on this channel. Thanks for watching!
So, that's all Folks
Have a peaceful sunday, buddy and please, greetings to Jocelyn...stay safe
😄😙, THANK YOU. 😑 In the year 95 [...] if man is still Alive [...]* ? But, yes, WE WERE HERE!!! Greetings from Germany, PARKINSON'S sucks but EMPPU RULES!!! 😎😆🤘 alex *Zager and Evans; "In the Year 25, 25" ( i know that i don't have to explain it to you 😶) Natural Pantheism lets you feel and know, that you are not the Crown of Creation, but a Part of the Tree.
Year 25 25 it's from Nato album, one of my favorite Laibach album
@@yerviniansamvel Hallo 😊. 😮 Did not know the band, history , "their history". Just rushed 🤯 through the Information Wiki (👎🤢) is providing. Ääh, i think, i need some time. Thank you 🤗 alex
🎶👍👍🇳🇱🤘🤘🎤🎸💕👏👏
❤❤🇫🇮👏
Emppu's Metallica riff is more than just a shout out to the band, it's Tuomas' creativity in full effect. You actually touched on the lyric before and after the riff - Man, he took his time in the sun. Had a dream to understand a single grain of sand. Or, in other words........Enter Sandman.
Evolution...not creation...just saying
Did say repeatedly that it was an evolutionary tale🙂
it´s called "reaction video", not "watching video" ... so stop as much, talk as much as you want or need to, and keep on doing your stuff !
and stop apologizing for pausing ;)
Lol i will.. had like 2 folks out of hundreds of comments complain that i stop to much.. wont stop me tho lol
