The roof tent looks really good when set up plenty of room and pretty cosy. Every where at moment is a bit of a bog fest but at least it gives you a chance to check it out before you set off on your adventures with it. Enjoy the rest of the week and stay stealthy.
Love it, what would freak me out about the roof tent is, knowing I’m all zipped in but the ladder still being on the outside, I would just be thinking someone would climb up and get me.
Chains or snow socks are only need when stated...ie if there is a lot of snow.....tires are an option but snow tires will not get you high up where chains are needed. Blessed Year Bro
I done Europe and alps in June time. No trouble then with tyres obviously on roads. But higher altitudes you’ll still find snow as late as June/July blocking the high roads/off road trails we done. We started encountering snow around 7000 feet. I’d certainly get winter tyres although your unlikely to be stopped. We drove past in a convoy of 4x4s and only the Italian police took any notice. They just stared hard and didn’t get pulled over. I’d fit some cheap eBay tyres or get some decent used and have them fitted. Don’t use halford at £190 a type. That’s silly prices. Halfords aren’t cheap. Buy a set and have them fitted by a local tyre fitting garage
@@wanderingwhere you’ll love Europe. Be sure to use Park4night to find the motorhome Aires. You probably are aware of them but they are brilliant. Anywhere between €10-30 a night if your in an area where wild camping is harder to find Motorway tolls in France can be pricey too. But they are long nice drives. France is also very laid back and avoiding motorways makes for a nice drive Really looking forward to your videos. I’m off to the Alps again in May. You’ll really enjoy yourself. Have a great trip mate and stay safe. Been watching your channel a while and your putting out some brillaint tent 👍👍
Hi Adam, Keith here from Melton, I passed you on Xmas eve, on your way home to Leicester. I was heading out to edale for a few days in my campervan 😁 wasn't sure it was you till I see this vid. Hope you had a good Xmas, and looking forward to your next adventures mate 👍
Looking good Adam!. Good to see things getting well tested before the 'Big Off' next year! Those boulders by the bridge looked a bit dodgy. Probably once part of the bridge itself! Don't want more of those dislodging whilst driving or parking underneath. Have a great 2024 Boss, with lots of successful nights away! We'll be watching..... 'Dontcha know!'
Hey Adam, I'm having a good catchup on your channel. I've been working full time, so there's no time for chilling, lol. Back to part-time next t month, can't wait. Don't know if you remember me telling you I live full time in my ford, but I took all the wood out to save weight, instead I got a fishing camping bed, A, because its lighter B the legs are adjustable, so if your parked on an angle you can adjust them so you don't have to worry about chocks lol.
Hi Adam. As someone who has resided in Germany. As with France it law to have winter tryes for six months of the year. After the six months we reapply the summer tyre's and store the winter ones in the Garage with tyre covers. I hope that helps. Stay safe and what a great year your channel (you) has produced. Thank you. And wishing you a safe, healthy, adventurous 2024. 🎉🎉🎉
Another great vid Adam. However, never, ever skimp on tyres! It’s what basically keeps you on the road. Go for something Michelin Crossclimates, all season tyre and they’re superb in the snow! x
I've just bought 4 Rotalla W Race S330 cold weather tyres for £400 fitted. Check 'em out, winter tyres don't have an aggressive tread pattern anymore so you can keep then on if you want.
Just search around on line for winter tyres if you find you need them. In most countries you only need them during a certain period. As regards the night time temps in the alpine regions, if you go after May, then the temp at night is well above zero. We go to Chamonix area, and sometimes at night in the summer months it's over 20⁰C at night, unless you camp well up, but even there you will be above 10⁰C. Just don't think you are going onto be cold at night !
Just watching this episode, and you mentioned the Andorra trip. I was recently looking at the requirement for driving in France and you now need a Crit' Air sticker in your car. This relates to your vehicle's air quality standards. Just a heads up, mate.
Years and years ago me and my mates use to park under a bridge exactly like this one so we could get out of the rain and we could have a smoke 😂 car died once and it took us 30 mins to push it out as it was a steep hill
Hi Adam. I live in Berlin and have all weather tires on car. so I can use them all the year round. I wish you a happy new year. Take care of yourself stay healthy. 👍🧑🎄🎄❤️
Nice one Adam. I know that spot under the bridge i parked there 3 yrs ago when main carpark was full. Lovely walk up Jacobs ladder can see Manchester city center from top. If you go up Jacobs ladder have a few minutes shelter under the overhand boulder/rock near summit. ❤❤. Happy Xmas and New yrs to you to Adam.
U need a triangle if u break down ur own sticker on the window while travelling a cheap breathalizer while in frane in ur car u cant use a tom tom and dont go the toll roads they ripp u right off the petrol stations are more expensive on the toll rd. Done eurpoe over 50 times in my life make sure u have a gb sticker and ur head light have to have a clear sticker covering. It the one closest ti the centre of the rd. Theres a new sticker that u have to have on ur window screen and u need a idp lisence while abroad. Which u can get 9nline oh and hokiday cover while away gud luck in 3 weeks
Have seen a number of car tents over the summer and look great. For me as a solo camper, security is everything. Just would not feel safe in a secluded stop over. Locked metal doors for me. If a number of other vans are there well maybe. Careful on the continent mate.
Why don’t you just fit a set of all terrain tyres that are winter rated? I fitted a set of Yokohama Geolander G015 all terrains to my caddy van and they are snow rated with the 3 peaks. This way you can still benefit from them when you get home in case you find some bog fest park ups. Also they give a 60,000 mile warranty to great value for money as they last much longer than regular tyres. Falken wild peaks are the same, so look at either of those two. 👍
hi, I bought on of your beanie for my Wife for Christmas, she watches you also,, she loves it, Just got brownie points, keep up the with your channel , we love it, Oh she says turn you gas down,,
Mate I’ve got a great car camp spot in the Peak District I go all the time and the views are insane! Not many know about it I’d love to share or get the boots on with you 🙏🏼💪🏼
Did Spain and France on normal tyres but didn't go to ski resorts plenty to do without going to the extremes watch midlife vanlife they went skiing in their van also ame in a van both living in France in vans
Having been to France in the winter, you need decent tyres and chains as the police can and will fine you, for not being prepared. This also happened to my friend in other places in Europe. Just be careful, French embassy is a good place to check for information, the one in London should help
You need to sales pitch to be like a Mattel toy advert. LOts of flashing lights, zoom in and out quick, dolly bird.. sell it to me,,, then ID BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR.
Adam power units are a waste of time and money for anything other than a single night unless you have solar panels and of course the sun or you do at least 5 hours driving a day.
oh Jesus n mother Mary how do these manufacturers come up with pricing.... your power kit costs more than a car here... I could NOT justify spending 4 thousand new zealand dollars on this allpowers unit... a petrol generator is max $1500 for 3000w ... wen ur spose to be camping and you take the most expensive power grid with you doesn't make sense
Are you a full time you tuber Adam? If not how do you work and get time away? Also who looks after your kids and dogs while you are away? Just curious..

Hope you had a great Christmas 🎄. Dont know if you made Scotland or not but there is a lot of roads closed up north because of the weather .
So which of all the power units you've tried would you recommend the most?
Another great vid. Good to hear things are developing.
I was in that tickled trout in Dronfield in the summer bud 😊👍

snowing in scotland ...... just packing the snowboard into the car now 😀
If you plan on using a power bank a lot you should think about an air fryer, there not expensive and you can cook all sorts.
Oooh nout better than another Wandering Where upload ;)
Another great video Adam,I'm on with doing a transit van camper build so the the R2500 may come in handy I'll be taking a look 👍🏼 all the best buddy

Try black circles for tyres
10.4 kw of ecoflow stuff in the boot and a 500w oil radiator on a thermostat works well 😅
Hi how are you doing

lol yeh 2000wh my bad but yeh decent price and lifepo4
